Hi, bros in the forum.

I've encounter a problem which i'm not sure it's a glitch of the software or wht..maybe some of E71 users encounter before

it's about the "contact", I've save a contact number and name. (forgot it's using PC suite ctc or i direct use the phone to save)

The problem is : The contact person called me, but my display don't show the contact person "name", it shows the "number" only.

It should show the "name" if i've saved in the phonebook right?

Additional - points for E71 flexibility is the photne book cannot "permanently" choose sim contact, need to go "option" to manual choose "sim directory". Even in the top view, i can only choose "phone" or MSN contact..no "sim ctc" option

Name doesn show is due to double entry.. Check ur list whether u got a copy in ur phone or sim..
Tis phone dont hav permenant sim contact? Got ma.. Jus press option at contact and choose sim contact lor... Wat the point storing in sim card when ur phone has unlimited entries.. Jus copy all to ur phone memory la... And back up using excel or nokia pc suite...

Maybe you saved without international code. For example you saved as 0198765*** but it appears as +60198765***.

i don't know why when i restart my phone with jbak taskman, or switch off the phone and turn it back on. the phone couldn't detect the applications that has been installed in my micro sd card. the phone can't detect the micro sd card as well.

i have to manually remove the micro sd card, and then insert the card back in before the phone detects the micro sd card, and all the software inside.

could it be that the memory card has been corrupted? i don't know if formatting the memory card will help?

definately is number duplicates.

Either u find those duplicates ones or like xavi said change to phone either to phone or simcard memory

Last time i have tis problem as well.. Try reformat ur card.. Check if u got any file with a name qf . If hav jus delete it.. If u got game .. if able install all of them in phone memory.. last time i got 50 games in d card.. When restart, my phone always said installing bla bla bla.. So i read in e71 fanatic.. They recomend to install it in the phone memory.. Not sure y though.. i only install theme and games in phone memory while the other software all installed in card.. Have no problem so far.. Hope it help..

If u have a 8GB phone memory yes i recommend u to install.

Very easy to solve access your application folder u see which is not install just delete it or reinstall

Well java games and sisx games dont take much space.. Although our e71 jus has 110mb of memory.. The theme though take quite some space.. I only install the theme i needed .. Still got 67mb of space left.. Good enough for email,sms,image, etc...

Try to have 1000 -2000 smses + mms and some main application to put phone memory. Now my phone only left about 20mb

guess i'll just format the damn card tomorrow or something. since i only got 3 applications on it. might even move all of them to phone memory.

i almost have the same problem like this..but it occured suddenly..my phone suddenly changed to default theme and all my applications are gone.i have to take out the SD card and restart my phone..and pick my theme again.is it because of the SD card?or virus?

Not virus la.. Jus tat sometimes u got too many files in ur card .. And apllication run from card will left some mark and as time pass ur card may get corrupted.. Jus do a fresh format on ur card..

yah wor....i also wanna know how to keep so many SMS/messages because i can only set maximum 999.

well aspire usually talking bout his 5800 .. as he own both e71 and 5800

msn can be found at nokia download site.. jus access it from ur phone.. ngage? u need to hack lor bro..
