the new firmware is draining the batt too fast.
anyone know how to recover the firmware to original old version?

Don't think it's possible dude but i do agree with u. The battery drains faster with this new firmware.

hi guys, say if i have maps for Malaysia and Bali but both also named gmapsupp.img....how do i insert both map into the e71 under garmin XT?

and how will it recognize both map individually?

I think u must rename another map as gmapsupp1.jpg and u will be able to switch between 2 maps. Read it somewhere before.

jus delete lor.. after that u refresh again.. the header should hav disappear lor.. unless u jus delete from phone(remain header)

my phone also can tahan 2 days only.. average use . i hope new firmware can solve this issues

wow... then confirm with normal phone, u have to charge everyday.
the E71 battery life span is considered great in its class.

mine one...battery can last until 4 -5 days with normal usage.
1. calls about 20-30 min daily
2. sms - 10-15 per day
3. browse to wifi - 10-15 min daily.

Garmin Mobile 5.0.40 installed, deleted the dll and terminate the tsrautostart.exe
Disable 3G, lights heart beat.

mine around 3 days. More sms than calls .

Are you sure it'll change back to the previous firmware using that code? I believe it'll just reset your phone as if it's new but the software version would still be the same.

I experienced the same problem too... itchy hands... WHY? Because, I go and rename my memory card while it was in the phone. And thats how it happened.

After switch it on, it could not recognized and all the stuffs inside, just when *whoosh* gone!
