Guys, i have some question, does your e71 turn very hot when you use 3g. I have an unlimited data plan. When ever i surf internet , after sometime, my phone turn very hot. Is this normal ?

Bought a new Black steel zitron=P

when i was using wifi after my first charge for 10 hour straight... my e71 kinda heated up..so i guess its normal when there is a long period of constant data connection causing it to get hot=O

Battery haven reduce a bar after very light usage..10 sms and 15 minutes of internet radio..24 hour standby=D cool~

yes it is normal.. ur e71 is steel ma.. so it tend to heat up..

yes once flash all ur data and installed software all gone, but u can backup all the installer,sms, phonebook, files using nokia pc suite.
gps will work great on the out door, indoor? jangan harap la.. battery is determine by wat version of garmin and latest 1 giv u a full 6-8 hour usage after full charge i think..

Yeah probably its your firmware problem. Try update it to the latest then see how your battery life

Not sure if this app is recomended b4, but its a decent program to check the power consumption and show the estimate on how long a full charge battery would last with the application u had running while this application is measuring.. there are many other functions..i just used it to confirmed that my battery ain't faulty. =X

about the GPS in E71, do i MUST connect to data network to get the GPS running ?? if I am let say in singapore and use the GPS .. if I need 3G or Data to connect the phone bill will kill me . can't I just use it like normal GPS without the "A" ?

I'm having a problem here. 2 weeks back i bought 1 capdase leather pouch book type. After i use it for 2 weeks my phone suddenly have a problem to answer a call. What i mean is when somebody call me n i pick up the call i cant hear them. I need to end the call n call them back then only i can hear them.it happen quite sometime. So i decide to go to NCC to give a check.

They said the problem happen because I'm using a third party pouch which have a magnet at the side.the magnet cause distortion to the phone. Is it true guys? Now I'm trying to use my phone w/o the pouch n see whether what they said is correct or not.

One more thing, i just subscribe unlimited data plan from maxis.so which network mode i need to select? dual mode or UMTS? what is the diff?

i am using unlimted data plan too, i set mine to dual mode and it works, umts will work too.. difference are, umts is 3g, dual is gsm + 3g both.. i am not sure with umts mode, it will fall back to gsm if its not available, yet to try that. anyway set yours to dual mode and it should work fine

i had one problem where i used dual mode then suddenly my maxis cannot get any line, cannot call or receive call/sms..was kinda weird coz it was all of a sudden..then i change to GSM (not using 3G much) then only line return back to normal..not sure why though..
