Wat version of garmin u r using? Older version tend so suck up ur battery lor.. Plus u 2-3 hour garmin jus good to suck up 40% of ur battery d.. My record is 6 hour garmin with 2 bar left.. Cals , sms, surfing for another 2 hour .. And charging d..

Hmm no problems with my battery life. In fact I gotta say its better than expected, well for me at least. Just got my E71 last week, played with Garmin a lot with calls, smses and even some wifi and 3G. First full charge lasted 2 and a half days plus minus. Now second charge for 2 full days with some light calling, texting and Garmin. Still left 5 bars. I reckon at this rate it could last an extra 2 or 3 more days making it 4 or 5 days for me if I continue with the same amount of usage as the past 2 days till it needs a recharge.

Try following the battery tips on first post. I followed that and disabled Garmin background service immediately when I first got my phone.

i think u too demanding on ur e71 d.. anyway.. wanted to ask u is ur e71 ori or ap? wat firmware r u using? if u nto satisfied, i recommend u to reformat ur phone lor.. left it bare naked from any software and test it again.. if different than it is ur software part. if it is the same mean it is hardware part d lor..

well tat is odd, wat software u hav running? is ur phone constantly searching for wifi or bluetooh? check ur bluetooth or wifi .. is it on or not... install jbaktaskman, check ur running software. the reason y i ask u to format is becos i wan u to test ur phone on a virgin state without any installed software. it ur preference anyway whether u want to do it or not.. i doubt the shop gonna bother bout ur case.. for them 2 days is average. plus ur phone is new giv it some running in 1st.. maybe after 2 week ur battery will be better kot..

just wanna say mine is also the same..but 1 month ago was not like that, now only suddenly charge at nite and unplug before go to sleep, next morning 1 bar gone....heheh i guess maybe bcoz i 1 time charge using car charger..

any e71ers here encounter below same case like me?
i bought this phone 3 months ago, at 1st the battery life can last for 4 days and min also 3 days.

someday after i updated the new firmware, the battery life become shorter. mostly can last only 2 days, if play some games, then 1 days will flat.

really becoz of the firmware? other becoz of other factors? just query to ask and mayb can find out the answer from all si fu here.

You upgraded to what version ?

Mine is 210.21.006 and I have excellent battery life. But then again my phone is only about 2 weeks old.

do u know what is his product code? i checked mine on nokia webste, still not updated.

check ur profile wat is ur voice volume and if it is at max.. i guess it is ur ear.. lol.. try changing the voice from america to british or either way la..if still d same.. check ur mp3 play out.. if also still low volume.. it mean ur speaker gone lor.. if mp3 play out is loud while jus garmin jus low.. get a fresh installation of garmin..

Garmin not set to auto startup, but what does the "cardrunner" file roll in the phone?
Actually, is there any posible that the file is in "hidden" mode? i phone how to check "hidden" file?

Hmm..maybe, but in my understanding of AP set, means the phone still made by nokia, only is without tax..so it was not warranty by nokia dealers...instead warrantly by phone dealer support team. correct me if i'm wrong..not really an expert in the "comunication" world..

Why turned off the breathing light ?
Don't think it takes up much battery life...

I suspect the battery drained very fast due to the WiFi still "alive" in the backgroundn eventhough the Wifi seaching is OFF.
