Not going to wait for e72 since need a phone that last longer in calls / SMS and some note writing

Now i'm in heap of trouble because e71 cannot read all my previous o2 Atom .pwi notes

Yes you can edit your doc. the new quickoffice has support for office 2007 doc. I already posted the link few pages back.

did you press YES to that (in bold)? if yes, then you are not connected to the WLAN but to digi gprs..correct me if i'm wrong cause i'm not sure what's the name for digi's gprs and 3g service..

i supposed when he got that message, he wasn't given a choice, it just connects, cause e71 default setting for internet browser is set to use telco's line. so if we do not set it to "always ask" it will auto connect to either 3g/gprs. only when u set it to always ask, u can choose to use your wifi.

u need to tweak ur setting...set as Always ask

i'm sure u can convert the .pwi files to .txt files?

wanna ask all the E71 user here.. how long ur E71 can last for 1 full charge?? i juz get my E71 last week, but till now it only last 2days max...

Normal should be around 2-3 days... Depends on how u frequent u use ur phone...

hmm... i try use it for normal call n sms... for a week, total call duration is only 2hours + sms not more than 100. not much gaming + 2-3hours of garmin... but i have charge 4times for 7days.... bit disappointed with this.. the review say it can last 10hrs talktime per charge, it seems not true at all..

garmin sucks up most of the battery i think. try not using garmin and see how long it can last

i try not using garmin at all for a full charge n it stil the same... n a fren of mine told me he uninstall garmin n it did help a bit which can use up 2 3days after uninstalling... but donno how true it is...

Wat version of garmin u r using? Older version tend so suck up ur battery lor.. Plus u 2-3 hour garmin jus good to suck up 40% of ur battery d.. My record is 6 hour garmin with 2 bar left.. Cals , sms, surfing for another 2 hour .. And charging d..

i m using v5.00.40s60.9.. i mean total in a week i use 2-3hour in garmin only.. wat i wanna say is i had charge my E71 for 4times in 7days only.. which i feel not very hapi v the batt life....

check this: open garmin >> tools >> settings >> system >> launch background services: disable

if enable, ur battery should drain faster.

btw, new garmin is 5.00.50.

Hmm no problems with my battery life. In fact I gotta say its better than expected, well for me at least. Just got my E71 last week, played with Garmin a lot with calls, smses and even some wifi and 3G. First full charge lasted 2 and a half days plus minus. Now second charge for 2 full days with some light calling, texting and Garmin. Still left 5 bars. I reckon at this rate it could last an extra 2 or 3 more days making it 4 or 5 days for me if I continue with the same amount of usage as the past 2 days till it needs a recharge.

Try following the battery tips on first post. I followed that and disabled Garmin background service immediately when I first got my phone.
