9th Breath Indicator for 5800 XM and when E71 notification light its so hard to see
10th Especially website u need scroll to the link to click with E71 when 5800 XM u immediately touch the link to open
11th Camera E71 is better but to focus quite dumb need press the T to focus not autofocus
12th 5800 XM comes with geotagging support
13th E71 have a more solid feel.
14th

What i love the most about E71 is the size and battery life.
Its just a comparison to show the difference between E71 and 5800 XM

i wish i do not have to trade my E71 for 5800..but i'm not that rich to have both at the same time..so one of it gotta go..

I am here to show that difference not wait u to condemn others cheers tongue.gif

I show a comparison at the end its up to that user to choose which phone he or she prefer

Nokia smartphone like this E71 and using Skype VOIP service. I only have experience with pc to pc so is there any difference with mobile phone? Better? Worst? Same? Difficulties?

There is no e71x here la.. Tat is jus for us market.. Voip on e71 is like talking using skype phone lor.. If u use edge it maybe chopping but still able to chat.. If u use 3g or wifi then it is smooth lor..

hi. noob here. i have been following this thread for some months & very keen to get this phone but i read there are some problems with the phone.
is the latest firmware not stable or there is a bug in the phone?

I read in stanby mode, the clock freezes & only update when you press the keys. Is this fix in the latest firmware?

i hope you sifus can giv some advice before i decide to get one.

btw, i mainly use the phone for texting, wifi & gps. wat apps.would you guys recommend?

Advise you not to get E71. Go for other models. Where ever I go, everyone is using E71. Sien... It's like a generic phone where everyone is using it.

If you are okie with the smaller screen this phone is just great.

I do not have the clock screen freezes problem using latest firmware now.

Texting EXCELLENT due qwerty
GPS i could say its signal is way much better that 5800 XM
WIFI just a little disappointing to be because screen too small and too much scrolling within less than an hour your fingers are tired
OLD OS due the OS is old there so much games and application for your E71
DRIVING Its kinda near impossible to text while driving.
If you are going for reasonable price and good looks this phone is just right for you

Alot ppl said what you said so symbian are not about who have it but how u customize it. Even my friend all have 5800XM/E71 they are more crazy over my phone even we both have the same phones

1) Due to application and games installed
2) The way u customize it
3) The way u tweak it.

Like u said all my friends have E71 but why they prefer to play with mine. Simple is what you know

Well said aspire. See it depends on which type r u?want to be different?or want an ultra versatile h/p.e71 is Customizable and has wide range of software. u need to try the qwerty to see if u can use it.I like the solid feel of the fone,just nice.reminds me of the ole 8810.

same i like the solid feel of E71 especially its in metal and light.
Example certain range of SE phones even you want to customize you cant.

Like dud35 said please try qwerty before you buy.
For me i prefer qwerty over alphanumberic because i do more than just sms.

Qwerty is good for emailing, internet browsing , chatting . Alphanumberic is good for the everyday use words.
