Right click on your 'iPhone name" > restore from backup > select the backup you wanna restore.
If nothing there meaning, its too late to apologize.

Everything above to be done via iTunes.

Try putting your iPhoney into DFU mode. If still not do able, try with other PC.

my problem...im using office pc to configure my ip4...i wanted to save all application i hv now in my ip4 at my home pc for back-up purpose (mainly the applications). how am i suppose to do that? well, i try to use at home, it says all ip4 setting will be changed.

For your info, if u sync the ip4 at ur office and if u have already backup all ur stuff at your home pc only, all ur iphone apps, videos, songs will be deleted.
If u want to sync the iphone 4 at ur office without losing ur apps, you can do manual to like copy the whole itunes folder from the My Music folder and copy to your office My Music folder to replace it and make sure u have install the iTunes at your office pc first. Den you sync the ip4 at your office pc and the apps will still be there. This is my manual way of doing it and if there is other member's have other way to do it, please share if u have. thanks.

What i do is disable auto sync then choose "transfer purchase to pc"..All the apps will be sync to the pc.

Havent tried for songs though...

songs just use thumb drive copy la...to new pc...and resync...

At itunes there have tabs. Apps. Music. Pictures etcetc. U can go each tab and untick the sync.

Hey,guys! I am confused about transfering iPhone to computer.
What I need help with is transferring my iPhone backup (and whatever else is needed) over to the new computer.
I get how to transfer my music: consolidate library then move the iTunes library over to the new computer and replace the iTunes library.
But what do I need to do for the iPhone? I know there is a backup for it somewhere that I need to move but don't know where it is. If you nice guys can give me a free recommandation program to do that?

Although your words are confusing,but i think i get what are u trying to say.

1) connect your iphone to the computer..then open itunes.
2) if it's a new computer,then u need to key your apple ID n passwrd in order to give authorization for the iphone.
3) then,right click 'Devices' on the left tab,select 'Transfer purchases' first..this will copy any apps that doesn't included yet on your library..if u have a lot of apps n its the 1st time,it could be awhile..wait until it finishes.
4) finally,right click again 'Devices',this time select 'Backup'..this will store your contacts n any legit apps(free or paid) from your phone to the computer..let it be for another moment until it finishes,

So,after each time u update the iOS,right click 'Devices' n select 'Restore from backup'..this will retrieve the 'Backup' from the computer to your iphone..the most important thing is,BACKUP YOUR IPHONE AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH(OR AT YOUR OWN TIME) COZ U NEVER KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO YOUR IPHONE.

Yes..but keep in mind that the 'Backup' stores your contacts,any free,paid n legit apps(actually not sure about videos, photos n songs,somebody please give a confirmation about this)..if the apps r illegal,it is saved in the library BUT IT WILL NOT WORK.

For syncing to new computer,i highly recommend u copy any videos,photos n songs from the old computer to the new computer..because I can only confirmed that the 'Backup' only applies for contacts n apps..When 'Backup',the apps in iphone will automatically added in the computer's library i.e. the apps installers n not videos,photos n songs.

After u have transferred all (videos,photos, n songs)to a new computer,then it is safe to forget about the old computer..also,don't forget to de-authorize the old computer because 1 idevice can only authorize up to 5 different computers

I just get update my iOS 4.1 to iOS 4.2.1 but i getting this error and i use "Option"+"Restore" and select the iOS 4.2.1 but still come out this although been try for 2 to 3 times....=( So anyone can help??
I dont want to update to iOS 4.3 i cant just click the "restore button" BTW is ON iTunes 10.2

I just dwnload an app
but it wont install...just stuck at waiting...
i cant delete it...the download loading is not resume...
what can i do ?

tried restart and relogin to itunes also doesn't solve the problem

What u can do this...
Either u complete the download or u update ur device to iOS 4.3 coz when using iOS 4.3 u can DELETE those not completed apps and there is one of the benefit of iOS 4.3

Jz read thru all the guides and still hv no ideas, basically my situation rite now is i know that my pc is going gone case soon(not sure when) and has to reformat,which means that i hv no choice but to use my laptop to connect my iphone or wait until i reformat my pc and get itunes install.

My question is:How am i able to backup my iphone contents to my laptop/new itunes? for contacts, i alreadi done sync with google mail, which i believe nxt time i jz have to login into gmail to get all the contacts, But what about applications and musics?

I have an iphone 3gs and when i put it on silent, it keeps unmuting and muting itself and also vibrates every time it switches from mute to unmute. how do you fix this?
