guys, lately i cant seems to back up my iphone from itunes
get the message "iTunes cannot backup iPhone because a backup can't be saved on this computer"
is this due to my HD is running out of space? (I have 500mb++ left)
any solution on this?

Ye la bro.it can't be done. Btw I did follow some recommendation fr apple forum there e.g close push email acct,hard reset few times. Incredibly now my phone run smooth n sound, with a very good battery performance an less heat when heavy surf/playing games compare to 4.1

Hey guys,

I've been having some wifi issues with my iphone4.

My iphone4 is on ios4.2 and my wireless is linksys wag120n, both default settings.

The problem is sometimes the phone wireless connection will just go dead and I have to go click "renew lease" on my ip4 to access the internet again.

Is there a timer on the wifi to save battery or something?

i am havin an apps update problem with my itunes..using itunes 10.1, i cannot update the apps on my malaysian account even though it shows on iphone. i have checked for any buggy apps according to the list posted by another LYN forummer few weeks back such as pee monkey..i dont have such applications and this problem only happens to the malaysia account, my US account is fine. anyone with any advice?

I've encountered a big problem while updating the iPhone 4.

I've backup all the data on the computer, after updating it to iOS 4.2.1 and choosing to restore from the backup I just made, the machine sync up very quickly(which is weird because there's 8GB of data).

I've figured out how to reimport contacts from the SIM, but the Apps thats on it are gone(most likely part of the backup that refuse to sync up), and I have no luck trying to retrieve them Apps Store purchase history(Apparently its not like STEAM). some of the files are mp3 and videos, and from my research, they will have to be re-synced back to the phone.

The data(8GB) is there, and iTunes just can't get it into the phone, is there anyway I can view the iPhone 4 as USB drive(I'm thinking of manually transfer the data onto the phone) or perhaps another way of doing this?

i just bought an iphone 4.

i try to upgrade to 4.2 . then i get error when i want to upgrade.

after that, it show recovery mode and need to restore to use it back like normal.

but whenever i want to restore, problem is still occured!

what should i do ? btw, i use the latest itunes. please help. thanks alot

I think u also got d same prob as mine (refer to my earlier post) when my phone in recovery mode if I'm not mistaken I unplug ip4 and turn off-turn on the phone.then I plug back to iTunes and suddenly my phone in OS 4.2.1

the samething happened to me as well......I thought i had bricked my phone but luckily it restored and just like you....voilaaaa.....4.2.1.....however I myself cant restore my contacts and such...

Sometimes the iTunes Restore/Update just don't work on certain computers. I also faced such problem before whereas on first PC failed to restore but it went through smoothly on another PC.

I've faced this problem twice.
The problem is like this: When I made a purchase at iTunes Store using my Malaysia iTunes account that linked with my Maybank Debit Card, there's a charges titled PREAUTH SALE ITUNES-USD DATED xx/xx/2010 - RM1.02. I know this charge will be refunded in few days after the purchase had successfully charged to my card (which means the app price: USD0.99 = RM3.1+).

OK, first time I made a purchase the bank charged me with this PREAUTH thing twice, one at 25/10 and another at 27/10. I dunno why. After few days the bank refund me the charge for 27/10. But the 25/10 one did not refund me. So I write in feedback to Maybank to enquire about this and after few days they refunded me.

Last last week, I made another purchase, this time was a paid app that under promotion (became free). But I notice the bank charge me with this PREAUTH thing again with RM1.02. Then until today still not yet refund me. Why like this? Do I need to write in feedback to Maybank every time for this? anyone facing this problem with their purchases also? Or only Maybank?

guys..i got some questions:

1. i bought several apps (iTunes Malaysia Account). Let say if i wan to reformat my phone...after reformat i can still sync back those apps without any charges?

2. i saw updates for my games i purchased, if i click update, will the saved game progress be erased when upgrading?

3. i cant redeem some promo code although Apple just announce that those codes can be used worldwide(not limited to US).

4. Can i use iTunes to downgrade my IOS 4.2 to IOS 4.1??..my IOS 4.2 abit jaggy..eg: when opening Messaging, the animation seemed laggy(but not always), my Cut The Ropes seemed abit laggy too (on certain stage especially those which large gameplay area), when double click home button to show running background apps..

i had check to digi customer care, they said below this:
Setting>Usage>Call Time> Period Time
Recently i find out the current period shown is total incoming calls + Outgoing calls
But i more concern outgong calls duration since the digi package is 200Mins voice calls.

any itune apps can help?
or any other way i can check to?

I have downloaded itunes to my new laptop that running windows7. I downloaded the version 10. When I connect my iphone and click the itunes, its prompted "this ipone annot be used because the required software is not installed. Run the itunes installer to remove itunes, then install itunes again." I have done this 3 times, but still failed..

Please advice. TQ

My advice to you:
1) Try on another computer see whether the problem still exists
2) Reinstall iTunes WITH administrator right
3) Install the two required driver individually, i.e Apple Application Support and Apple Mobile Device Support and see how (will provide download link tmr... not yet upload).

Other than that, I've no idea how to solve your problem bro...

Its a locked set man, learn how to unlock it thru google.

Tried Installed new version 3.1,etc but still same problems comes up thn how ?As i couldnt enter.So,Couldnt unlock as well

Just key in *128*1*1# to check your outstanding balance. As a rule of thumb we are entitled to have 200 minutes free talk time. If 1 minutes costs RM0.15, we should get RM 30 free talk time.

If your outstanding balance is less of RM 30, you should be still within your free talk time limit.
