my iphone Suddenly can't Delete Messages aka SMS in Messages.app

I tried using 3rd Party App like BiteSMS and try to delete it, but it does not work.


I restarted the phone, Power Off, Power ON, and yet still no luck.


Help is much appreciated !

is it possible to create 2 or more backups? so when i restore from backup, i can choose?
btw does backup include the apps? or only contacts, sms, settings, calendar?

The only thing I recommend you to do now is to perform a clean restoration via iTunes. I believe its a bug thou. Restore is a best diagnosis method to try out first

Its a locked set man, learn how to unlock it thru google.

sh#t...just now updated ip4 from 4.1 to 4.2.1 suddenly got error..have to resort by hard reset (power & home) and iP4 unable to open. it shows connect to itunes logo...d#mn...

So now im restoring back...hopefully nothing happen

and its not a back-up, its on new OS 4.2.1, whereas when i sync & auto back-up last time (6pm) its on 4.1..pening pening...

did you authorise ur itunes with ur account and transferred your purchases beforehand?

owh, i thought i've mention it earlier. its iP4/ iPhone 4 Maxis 1st batch. thanks for the help..

I have done update process many times before from my 3GS to now iP4. only when OS 4.2.1 release, i try update via update tap on i tunes screen, but at the last 10 second download to complete network error, and this happen 2 times. So this time I download the OS4.2.1 fr the flag thread here and install it manually via "Shift+Restore" and select the downloaded OS, and this bad thing happen...

i do face the same network error when im updating my firmware, twice, wat i do is i connect my i4>update>download only. then i go work, when im back, its completed and i jz sync it normally.

im not sure but at night the connection is quite bad

Guys!! i just deleted my setting and data. now i want to install back ios 4.1 for jailbreak purpose. is there a way to do so? been trying whole night..

Ow sorry, overlooked. Just a quick check with you. Have you changed hosts file before or adding saurik server in? If you do so, try adding "#" @ the front of saurik server ping. After that try perform a restore again via iTunes.

Can only restore to 4.1 if you had saved 4.1 shsh via saurik server man.

arghhh!! i read about this shsh thingy. Really no other option? cause i didn't get to save it>< means that i have to upgrade to 4.2 with no jailbreak~~ how am i gonna live with that..

I didn't jailbreak my phone I didn't change host file nor adding saurik server

ya bro..jailbreak your phone make your phone super duper useful compared to the standard one...jb for ios4 above should not have any stability/bug problem i guess since mine one not having any issues..i think the dev team already fixed the bug issue...you should not feel afraid to jb! haha poisoned u a bit

Ofcourse dude, restore backup is for you to recover your data, contacts, mail and etc. Not for you to restore back your OS man.

If still not able to restore latest OS via iTunes, try with other PC. Or bring to wherever you bought the iPhoney from and ask the staff to help you to do so. Case solved.
