If you were too quick in updating the EFI firmware, you might have a problem. More info here:

It's pretty cheap nowadays, I would say go for it!
I also bought my RAMs from Viewnet, looks like there's no price difference between 1066 and 1333. I opted for 1066 mainly because it's the same speed as the existing MBP rams.

Been searching best choice to update my iMac for 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo.

Currently using DDR2 PC2-6400, 2x2, 4GB

One of oversea friend recommend Crucial Ram, need to buy online, cost about USD 66 for 2x2 (excluded shipping cost).

Anyone know where I can buy similar RAM?

Or any advise is very much welcome smile.gif

looks like the ram became cheaper and cheaper. haha

for me I will not try crucial ram anymore. that time I bought the ram for RM1200 a pair of perfect twin 2.2.2.5 ram so called and with lifetime warranty. after using for 1 year + the ram let me down and when I sent back for warranty they give me another type of normal ram and after 3months, 1 of the stick has problem again.

now I don't dare to use crucial anymore. smile.gif

I actually stick to Kingston when I using PC.

I have to make sure the RAM specs meet the same as what I currently using right?
-DDR2 PC2-6400

I think they will if you ask but personally I wouldn't let them touch my Mac. Quite easy to install yourself, just be careful not to lose the screws and remember to screw in the ones at the sides and bottom at a slight angle.

You'll see when you remove the screws, the screws are not perpendicular to the case (not like this |) but comes out at a slight angle like this /). No big deal, just be gentle and don't force it if it doesn't seem smooth going in. You don't want to screw up the screws or the threads at the back.

Go to ifixit.com and search for your MacBook, they'll have pictures and stuff for a ram upgrade.
