Ha ha laugh.gif I wish. Then i can learn from Mr Marcus, Mr Michael Manwaring, Mr Arshad. hope to work in Taylors also, then can learn from the si fu there also. Notice the P level are dominated by men - Mr Daniel, Mr Chow. got exception like Ms Menon.

anyway, have to wait very long to download the videos. Do not know how long have to wait. Mr Arshad's demo is interesting. my friends never told me their experience in their P5 the need to link here and there. sounds tough but interesting. Anyone taking P5 - share their views?

All students who registered under him were transfered to Viknes's class...
Hmmm...seems like he's helping Viknes get students...

I thought he intend not to teach P1 at all this seating.
Thats why I never mentioned his name for any P1 lecturers recommendation.
I heard that he was tired running so many classes & try to minimise by cutting P1 (and lack of student since its not his forte paper).
IMHO, for this paper is not both lecturer's strong & specialised area & I was wondering why they teach at the first place.

I think Topace u r right.

I also think this Marcus over-sell la. So hardsell one.
Honestly, I think he teach F8 also like this Mr Low teach P1 last time.
Not good but just grab because no lecturer. Now, hardsell so much with these promotional videos.

IMHO, no one in market can come close to Philip Woo. And, Sheila is second one I would say is good.

U attended Mr Low class? U really think he's good?

Inti seems to be capitalizing on the fact that tuition centres in KL do not provide good campus life. I believe Inti will one day pose serious challenge to Sunway, healthy competition smile.gif

IMHO = In my humble opinion

When did your friend register for the P1 class? Because my friend who registered early got a phone call from KB the week before class started informing that Mr. Low's P1 class is cancelled and asked her to consider joining Viknes's class. But if she don't wish to join Viknes class she can defer the fees/refund(not too sure which but she wasn't forced to join).

For KL in McOrange, heard that Mr Michael Manwaring has over 100 students for P3. the fees 1288. this lecturer must be very good. Those of us in Sunway/Subang/Puchong/surroundiing areas should be thinking of P3 in INTI as fees are 1300. and we must not forget got campus and good shops/food selection choices there.

the bluff notes help students to study express, and quickly do exercises, i think. its proven formula.

Can you ask Mr Philip WOo to have a video lecture too? then we all can compare. he must be good with your testimony. I think with the videos, we can see, evaluate and judge for ourselves. biggrin.gif over-sell- everybody does that. Mr Viknes to Mr Andrew. But we can see the videos and see if its really good or not. i like to see a video lecture better than Inti's video demo. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif then we as students are spoilt for choice.

Only can say in Sunway, we have very poor deal. sad.gif the lecturers are really bor***. even they claimed they are many years experience. their styles not suitable to many of us. now we can consider other college campuses - TY and Inti, Subang we shoulld just go 'en bloc' , our group of friends so as not to miss them. since we spend so much time with each other. need to encourage and support each other mah. wink.gif lepak cool2.gif

Earlier, some says rely on yourself and lecturers don't matter. iin this perspective, my friends do matter. if we go, we all go. those don't follow, not 'heng mui' [good buddies] enough. so we shd leave the minority of friends behind.i will be sad of course. cry.gif but no much alternatives hmm.gif

My guide on selection of lecturers always based on selecting those you are comfortable with b4.
Since I followed Chin Ann for F8 (his forte) I choose him again for P1 for convenience sake since he taught quite well in F8.
Cant say he is really good for P1 but adequate enough since quite some number passed under him but my main consideration is small class size.
I have a 1x class in P1 , 1xx in P2 & 2xx in P3 so its quite balanced.

I dont think its possible to ask any of those well established lecturers to provide video demo simply bcos of :
1) Reputation
They already have well established connections via students. Students can spread his network to another students via orally or written.
Research of customer satisfaction (Kot ' Ler) : 5 times more expensive to get new customer than to retain them. Satisfied customer spread to 3 person. Dissastisfied customer spread to 11 person. So I think they will rather stay put. Why change the status quo when there is no need for change. An old american proverb, "Dont fix it if its not broken".

2) Motivation
I think profit is not a major concern with these lecturers. They had already achieved it & they have such a large student base whenever they go.
Imagine those Hollywood superstars that already been interviewed by paparazzis so many times they avoid them. Its a very similar situation here.

3) Problem of consistency
The demo is just a snapshot of a view like how balance sheet works. Balance sheet (I am an old school student) only shows year end results but it is the overall performance which should be more important. So some lecturers really shows some exciting demo but ultimately failed to deliver. It always happen when students have high expectations after the demo. Imagine Transformers 2 & Terminator 3 trailer. Its always prudent to treat propaganda with a caution note.

I think this thread is full of repeating the same points over and over again. Signal-noise ratio in here is pretty low. Or maybe people just don't know how to read.

+1 for that brother. same thing again and again. btw, I have a suggestion, anyone who's studying acca overseas such as UK should post up their experiences there. I'm interested on doing P there. biggrin.gif

Degree needs around Rm30k to 40k which takes around 3 months.
If money is not a problem then take it. However its usefulness is limited since its only to sweeten up the advance diploma in employer's eyes.

However if you take acca then the degree will serve as a safety net if you cannot progress well. If you dont you may only end up with advance diploma & part acca & most big firms required at least a degree holder.

The best & fastest route : take acca & ignore degree.
The most prudent route : take degree then acca (will get double qualification)
