Btw I got Sygic McGuider v7.60 (for s60v3) and v7.71 (for s60v5 and more specifically for Nokia 5800). I also have the Malaysia/Singapore map for it. I also got the instructions how to install it...

but... I won't be doing the test cos I experiment too much edi. Till today I format my phone 5 times liao just trying out new software. if anyone wants to be the guinea pig, PM me (only 1 worthy beta tester will be chosen ). I think someone from the previous thread wanted to have a go. icechiller555 is it?

even after the auto restart after the backup? I've no problem on that one thou.. but the phone needs a restart whenever it involve contacts and message backup..

Added on April 4, 2009, 4:26 pmsomething's wrong with my tube, after i soft reseted it to help me dl apps, i restored the files and there were 2 of the same contacts in my contacts folder.

When i tried deleting one of them, both of them were deleted at the same time. HELP~~~ =(

I just did a hard reset and tried restoring from a complete backup (everything checked - about 1.5Gb) which I did prior to the hard reset. After restoring I found messages & contacts missing and my settings not restored. Repeated the process using an earlier backup files and restored just these 3 items (contacts, messages and settings). Success! Everything there now including my own settings. No need for me to go through all the settings again. It is a good idea to retain a few back copies of the backup files. I have a feeling that there are some bugs in Nokia PC Suite. Or maybe the problem is with our tube.

hm... it seems when i check memory details, it shows 2 phone memories, each having the same contatcs... how do i delete one of them?

My sis bought 5800 last week then i saw her phone got light leakage.


Today went to Garden as bought from there. Then they asked us go to Bangsar Nokia Center.
They told me first batch got this problem. Ok.. Fine.
They told me not goin to fix it and need to nego with his manager in order to fix it. What... fix a phone also need to nego?
They told me not goin to replace but can try to request from manager.

So in the end is not fix and still like that.
So is everyone also having the same problem?

bro... that's not the light leakage as mentioned... light leakage is suppose to be at the side...

Doesnt make it bulky. In fact, its slightly slimmer than the original Nokia case, and it doesn't require you to pull the phone out after every use. Its cutting is spot-on too, everything from speaker slits to the little microphone hole at the bottom. Worth every ringgit i paid. I would prefer normal SPs tho, mirror ones are a little girlish.

Mine has been like that since day one. But guess how did i find out? After some forummer complained about it. So yeah, its no biggie unless you like using your tube at that angle.

EDIT: Sorry, didnt notice the second picture. Failed to load for me just now. Looks pretty serious. Perhaps you should try another NCC? I'm sure there's a forummer who had it fixed.

for me thats not even consider as a problem since it wont damage tube in any way.
the real light leakage is on the top right edge side close to power button.
light leakage is not the problem for me at that part,only that due to the tiny opening whole right side of the casing have small noticeable gap until the lock button when subjected to direct sunlight or sufficient light,i afraid that some dust will trap in that gap and eventually end up on the screen itself.
