One thing about the backup in Symbian.. it doesn't backup the profiles and the application folder arrangement we've configured... and it annoys me having to set them up everytime i do a reset..

This is the second time i got this error.. after some use and don't know what triggers it.. i can't seems to use the on screen default button for numpad and contact.. when i click and hold them it shows blank tips info.. and it will never open.. same goes to the green button that suppose to open the redail list.. i have to do a 7370 and restore everything else and it will be fine.. but without the backup of what i've mention.. it's rather inconvinient..

have any of you experiencing this error before? I can't be the only one..




Update:

I just restore using pcsuit.. correct me if wrong.. pcsuit restore everything but the phone backup to memory doesnt restore the profile and menu arrangement? cause i just got everything restore which i never get while using phone restore.

even after the auto restart after the backup? I've no problem on that one thou.. but the phone needs a restart whenever it involve contacts and message backup..

any of you guys manage to setup Hotmail using the build in email?

I've done gmail but and hotmail receiving.. but sending seems to fail..

Lets share bout fring and slick experience.. i personally prefer slick for its contact list is much more organize and i know which im i'm on..

but heard it drains more power than fring.. i believe thats because its using its own UI while fring is using Symbian's API..

things i don't like bout fring is that it's going throu the fring server.. while i can just connect straight to the IM server it self.. what about you guys?

and i don't get it.. if he dare to put the NOKIA in the startup and shutdown screen.. why not on the phone and box printing(only put NOKLA)?

It works.. but i do prefer imap like what gmail have to offer =.=

Try switch on the Keytone for touch screen also to see if it keeps beeping.. might be the touch screen malfunction..

Been playing with it for quite a while.. but sometimes suddenly lag.. dunno y.. anyway u can also analyse your own song for the game..

Application might be supporting it.. it's not too complicated it's probably monitoring multiple touch with interval of miliseconds instead of just capturing the first touch.. By defaulti think the screen support multi touch.. just the application doesnt' handle it.. otherwise how can the qwerty keypad knows your second touch and when u release the first.. it straight go to the second..

Or wait until the patent expired.. you can't patent something forever thats for sure.. It's quite stupid to approve patent like that.. i mean one day Volvo is going to patent the 12 air bags they have in thier vehicle and other can only implement 11 or 13 onwards..

Some tips on IS, when you pulling out the side part which is slim and long, dont 'pull hard.. be very very gentle.. the IS is abit on rubberish side which different from any SP you find.. pull too hard u end up it longer than it should...

I personally applies everything but the front.. it's rubberish as i said so its not that nice to touch on the screen.. so far so good thou.. it's like a cushion when u scracth on it and watch real close.. you can see the "scar" slowly coming back up like a memory firm.. thus i guess it also offer some shock prove like.. flies trying to land on them that kind of pressure.. Because it's cushion effect.. if you hav some object that point to it or press on it too long.. it becomes permemant.. so you need to take care on that..

On the WATER Solution... most of the time when trying to redo the sticking.. you'll run out of it.. and you gonna need alot if you want to glide on the surface to measure it.. what you do.. when it's half full.. go refill with tap water. i've refill 3 times and it still works.. this is also mention in ZAGG site saying some bottle is broken... you can use the same trick...

Menu -> Setup -> Application Management -> Installed Applications ->

Choose that application / game, hit Option.. if the "SUITE SETTINGS" present.. you can choose to off the "ON-Screen Keyboard"..

Many games actually support touch already, but they're not properly implement thus Symbian assume it requires the OnScreen Keyboard and on by default, so if you find games that chop off half way, try off the screen keyboard before give it up the game. It might just fit well.

If Suite Setting is not absent.. it can't be remove.. It may just be the Game it self having the keypad embeded.

The man has a point.. i think what the fingernail did is not scratching it.. it's cutting it.. fingernails can be very very sharp sometimes.. so IS maybe scratch proof... but not CUT proof.. you know what i mean..

I use fullbody IS.. except for front SP.. my main reason for IS is to protect the shiney corner and border of the TUBE.. thats what make it pretty.. not using Silicon cause that's just gonna cover it.. whats the point of protecting it when wanna hide it and keep it shiney.. but not showing it.. Maybe i'll use a silicon or leather when i got too much scratch to live with..

But the IS doesn't protect the most corner part. that i'm not that satisfied.. so stil have to be carefull.. i guess the design is not something IS can provide.. the IS cut design on 5800 is so much more complicated than the one on IPHONE..
