is there any risk in installing application into the tube? Like installing freeware in our computers...some may crash and cause errors, some after uninstalling will still have traces of the errors...

So far I haven't faced any such problems because before I install I will always wait for other feedbacks 1st tongue.gif

But anyway yes Symbian does leave some files behind for poorly coded softwares... but for most of them, the uninstallation is pretty clean.

And btw, the Symbian community are very careful when they release an app. Because they will want their app to be as less buggy as possible. SO no worries trying out 3rd party apps. But dont simply install junk that you don't need la.

Btw,
if you find that your space on your phone/memory card is getting clogged up from files left behind from apps you uninstalled, you can use Y-Browser to delete these files... they're pretty easy to spot.

oh good, coz I'm just sick and tired of freewares (and non-freewares) clogging up my computer. These are always impossible to fix without reformatting.
basically I just need to look out for apps released by symbian community rather than solo programmers? and feedback?

Guys I think you should prevent yourselves from saying one-liners. Reason is because this subforum has post count and in subforums with post count, if u dont say smtg constructive the mods have a reason to ya know... give you a vacasyun. Honestly I know very less moderators actually do come in the tube thread (which is why it has been growing so rapidly without moderation) but still, its better to be safe than sorry... blush.gif

Well you can try forums such as DailyMobile.se where there is a decent amount of programmers there whom test their app many times before releasing them and also when you get the apps from forums (even this thread is also considered one), usually the people will give feedback on the app so you can decide to install or not...

some of the people who suicide for the good of tubians here are like tachlio, icechiller555, echo.Garden and even myself... we try new softwares before others.... well good thing is we are the first ones to have the apps/games.. bad thing is, if the app screwed up then our tube also be victim.. laugh.gif

i've been wondering something. under the xpressmusic media bar, the first icon says "music with radio". i cant find any option to open radio. care to teach me?

another thing, (asked here already but didn't get a solution). my shortcut "Search internet and phone content" is missing from the home screen. i've tried selecting it from (setting > personal > home screen > home screen) but no option available. mine only have shortcuts, music player, radio and calendar. is there supposed to have a fifth option?
