i wanted to kiss Garmin goodbye too when i first tested Sygic...  but further tests make me think twice. Details here http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/986920/+1360#

However, it could be a map problem after all cuz Routing is based on the software (sygic) and map.

Yeah J-slade,if you can find a way to convert the map .. it will be wonderful !

As of now, I've only found the method to convert Garmin POI ( gpi ) files in to sygic POI file ...

Hey man,

You mind sharing how you converted the POI files from garmin format to sygic? Thanks

bro,

to convert gpi to sygic upi, you need 2 software ...

1) GPSbabel
2) Sygic POI TOOL

The process flow is like this:

1) via GPSbabel convert garmin gpi files to tomtom ov2 format
2) once u got the POIs in ov2 format, you can use the POI Converter to convert it into Sygic format (upi)

once u got the upi file, just put it in your MYS folder.

pretty troublesome and not very useful as i don't have many garmin gpi files sad.gif only have speed trap i think ..

still actively looking on better ways to make use of Sygic smile.gif

bro, since u also have sygic, mind help me test this and share your result ?? http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/986920/+1360# your help is much APPRECIATED.

@attention to all forumers
Do not buy stuff in LYN that doesnt come with warranty, it's a very big risk...... especially electronic gadget... warranty is a must, you'll never know what part they switched in ur phone and it might cause exploSIOn... THIS IS VERY SERIOUS!

isn't it the same thing? Sellers smuggle in products to sell, customs confiscate...then customs become the 'sellers' by taking these things and sell to others?
why bother confiscating in the first place??

Many thanks to echo for the official LYN Tube Alliance fonts... thumbup.gif

I took the fonts and edited it a bit to suit more to my liking.

Attached Image Attached Image
(Please give me some feedback if the font size is a bit too small or is it just nice? Because for me I find it okay but I don't know maybe some of you prefer larger fonts)

If you guys wanna get these fonts, you can download them here:
Download LTA Font v1.1 (Unofficial Release)

oh btw I merged it with the original so yeah, its chinese + japanese + russion font supported too icon_rolleyes.gif

Hello

McGuider 2009 navigation software does not allow to use and port „customers-made“ own maps, as there other important factors of map data to meet and include, not only maps itself.
We only use verified map data from certified map suppliers specialists, such as TeleAtlas.
Such interference into our navigation software from other parties could cause negative implications of various kind.

However there will be soon a pedestrian naviation software released, which will allow end users to modify map data accordingly to their needs and have therefore real map data as they are up to date.

Thank you for contacting support and for your interest in our navigation solution as well as for your understanding!

screw it i am still gonna try to port the garmin map over... I think I am going to contact TeleAtlas and see what they pulak have to say...
