Btw, I see HTTP traffic throttling once passed 7:30am. Before 7:30am, my VisualWget max out at 160 kilobyte/sec. After 7:30am, it maxes out at 30 kilobyte/sec and hardly reach 40!

The best part I think, is that I don't see this announcement anywhere on the main streamyx site. But yeah, after 9pm last night, my connection deteriorated to a point that it was so bad, I turned my computer off and watched TV instead. Nice change of pace though. No wonder these few days always get timed out. Sigh... lucky still better than Maxis HSPDA. Saw my friend using it and since they dont have 3G in Sg Buloh, only using UTMS and max out at 54kbps. Another friend with HSPDA but only 2bar, get only 500kbps.

Please check properly before posting QUOTE 31/03/2009 SERVICE INTERRUPTION
Dear Valued Customers,
Telekom Malaysia Berhad wishes to announce that there is a disruption of its Internet services due to circuit faults on the SMW3 between Tuas, Singapore and Penang linking Malaysia to Hong Kong and APCN2 near Chongming, China connecting Malaysia to the United States. As a result, customers using the Internet services may experience slow browsing while accessing websites hosted in the U.S. and Hong Kong.
In addition, customers using other IP services such as Virtual Private Network (VPN) and other critical business applications linked to the U.S. and Hong Kong may also experience some service degradation.
To alleviate the problem, some of the links have been rerouted to alternate routes to ease the congestion.
Restoration works on the affected cables are already in progress. However, during the restoration process, traffic to Northern America and Hong Kong may experience degradation. However, traffic to other countries will not be affected. TM expects complete recovery of its services by 5 April 2009 and will make further announcements on the progress of the restoration works.
TM wishes to assure its customers that it is undertaking all necessary measures to restore communications services for its customers as soon as possible. Customers can call TM at 100 and select “Internet Services” or e-mail us at help@tm.com.my for any Internet related problems. http://www.streamyx.com.my/whats_new/whats...rticle_20090331That means internet will be sucky until sunday?

connecting via Digi Edge, just as fast as usual.
I thought all telcos lease the international lines from telekom, how come they don't have any problems? Unless Telekom is tele-con again.

yay again.... what a pile of rubbish.. QUOTE Restoration works on the affected cables are already in progress. However, during the restoration process, traffic to Northern America and Hong Kong may experience degradation. However, traffic to other countries will not be affected. The bolded part is so untrue. Can barely even connect to a server hosted in germany and i seriously doubt germany is in the list of Northern America and Hong Kong. TMnut forever the same in providing the lousiest service to its customers

I'd rather that they can give better service to some, than for all to suffer. Right now, it shows that to their best of abilities, they still can't give good services.

why isn't it fair? companies pay a minimum of rm600+, home users can pay as low as rm66. of course they give priorities to businesses XD
especially those big corp that pull a direct 100mbit cable, that i think cost 10-30k per month....

Unfortunately, we're not that big. For those that says company internet no problem, how BIG is your company? Doing lease line? Business broadband, I can say 100% still sucks for us This post has been edited by eltaria: Apr 2 2009, 10:19 AM

CELCOM Broadband users effected or not?
I'm looking at setting up a backup wireless line, since wired lines only got streamyx.
Was thinking about P1, but some users reported P1 suffering from same issue too?
Noted on Digi Edge
