if u are currently using maxis, u may migrate to other telcos (advisable DiGi coz it takes about 1 day to migrate) and then do migrate to maxis back( it takes about a day too) and when switching back to maxis tell them u wanna to migrate to HYC. After porting takes place, u will be in hotlink basic plan. But u will be switched to HYC in a week.

I lodged a report to SKMM and Maxis has just called me and told me that they will try to convert me to HYC after my porting to hotlink is successful. So I can use back my old number after it is switched to HYC. Huh...so happy with it.

so your case was

normal hotlink (017/012) --> digi prepaid --> normal hotlink --> HYC

??

so its good la....thats mean existing normal hotlink user can convert to HYC by double porting...

my bro just ported out from hotlink to digi...but i recommend to use digi for 1 week...than only port to HYC...hehe... at least not so obvious laa...

i'm afraid after this they will close this loophole by adding new T&C for port in customer, even though from other telcos, but if our number is 012 or 017, cannot migrate to HYC...

Hey guys the other day I managed to ask one guy at a phone booth in Tesco Puchong about the HYC. Is it really true I cannot convert my current Hotlink to HYC but change the entire number?

Yeah, finish it before porting. Prepaid credit easy to finish also unless you are on UOX or HYC, hehe.

Hi Guys,
Sorry I just found out about the Hotlink Youth club and really want to change to it, but currently I have prepaid number. After calling the call centre, they say there is no way of changing unless you buy a new sim card. But I love my current number, as everyone can contact me with it, so my question is, did anyone find out how to change to Hotlink Youth club, but keeping the current prepaid number, is there any other ways other than buying a new sim card?

I sure wish I knew about this promotion before it ended on 1.5.09. Aiyah.

Thank you everyone...

Honestly, in 2013 or even before 2013, I'm sure the normal rates will be more or less the same as the current HYC rates(or even better, FREE as everyone might be using Skype and all the telcos should be fighting for cheapest 3G/4G rates)...

yup agree. just compare the rates of today and of those in 2005. Huge major difference.

3G Data is the same. 1 cent/kb for normal time and 0.5 cent/kb during non peak. As for 3G calls, it is the same as normal voice call.
