*Praying hard* But just the other day there was on Hotlink booth in the IT college doing some promotions with quite a few N85 phones. It think it's the WAP and 3G services or something like that.

Hey guys the other day I managed to ask one guy at a phone booth in Tesco Puchong about the HYC. Is it really true I cannot convert my current Hotlink to HYC but change the entire number?

i am used to be UTAR student, can i apply?
*
Sure do. You can call up the Maxis helpline to do the conversion. I did mine over the phone. If not you can always go to the nearest Maxis Centre to do this conversion.

so hyc apply to all who is under 25 right? even they r 24 , they will get 4 year validity right? meaning their phone no. validity last till they r 28 right? and the conversion is done by calling the maxis helpline right? and jus say u wanna convert to HYC? need anything else?
*
In fact I was almost so stupid to go to the Maxis Centre in TTDI just to do the conversion. But somehow or rather I just ended up calling from the house whether is it true I need to go all the way to TTDI just to do the conversion or is it true that I need to get a new SIM pack.

Fortunately, I got it all done over the phone and the conversion only took 2 days.

All you need to give is your full name as per when you registered your SIM, IC number, student ID number and the institution of higher learning you are in. That's it tongue.gif

How come now they sell new simpack without even student ID? I see some shops doing this
*
They are selling the new SIM pack. But as far as I know about getting that new SIM pack, the person buying it must produce the student ID card to do the registration on the spot.

u can try your luck lor some ppl manage to register without student card.
*
laugh.gif True also. But most places I went to and ask about the HYC, the asked me to produce my student ID.

But existing Hotlink users can just call the CS and do the conversion over the line. I did mine that way and it was within 2 days my plan was switched tongue.gif

Oh, usually any handphone dealer can port to HYC?
*
Unfortunately not all. Only a certain few dealers are able to do that. What you can do now is to call the CS and tell them you wanna switch yo HYC.

haha i asked exactly the same ques and the feedbacks are almost the same, Hotlink less likely/nearly impossible to have free sms,  doh.gif

It is hardly unbelievable as well these days, Hotlink has just gave me free RM9 worth of airtime the other day. Normally I would only receive not more than RM5.

Something weird happened. Ported my line from Digi to Hotlink on Thursday. I asked the girl if she can port me straight to HYC, she said nope, there is no way they can do it, need to visit the centre at KLCC. I kept bugging her if possible but she kept saying nope. Today, when i check credit balance *122*, my validity will expire in 2013. Did she secretly converted my account?
*
Maybe that guy said no but she did help you port to HYC.

You are one lucky man tongue.gif

By calling 1300820***(forgot ledi haha)? How do u confront wif them?

Added on September 25, 2009, 5:53 pmAnyway I had send some feedback about these and they replied me by saying the hotlink team is working on a new system.

But I would say this may take someee time. So I would like everyone to send their feedback too(at www.hotlinkyouthclub.com.my) in order for the hotlink team to curb this problem asap.

Thanks.

I just told them I would like to convert my Hotlink Prepaid plan to the Hotlink Youth Club Prepaid plan that's all. The consultant was more than willing to help me with it over the phone.

I received consecutively 2 months since August. Only this month I didn't get it since I topped up a few days after specified date.
