How is Panasonic TH-P42X10K compared to Hitachi P42E102A (full HD)? Selling in HN at RM3399 plus S video cables.

Hitachis are very rare, but its price is competitive. A full HD may be cheaper than a HD ready panasonic. but u can't buy a TV based on the resolution.
and i don't think its panel is as good as panasonic's. after all, 1080p makes peanut differences for most people.
I thought people should be educated enough now not to avoid the Full HD gimick. yawn.gif

That's because anfieldude uses the same calibration software, namely CalMan. You can tell the dude is serious in his calibration by the stuff he uses. notworthy.gif

Thanks jchong. Actually the results mimic the results from podrunner's X10. The only difference being the gamma. The calibration of podrunner's X10 was done thru a WDTV and the viewing environment was much brighter. The gamma was around 2.1 to cater for the brighter viewing environment. Also the colour luminance was not that great due to the WDTV known problem with the Sigma Designs chip.

Full Hd does make a difference if you have larger screens and if you are feeding it with the right source. To say that Full Hd doesn't make a difference is ignorance! After all Full Hd screen is only cost slightly more these days so why not go for it?
