Plasmas are meant for darker environments, so the reflective screen shouldn't cause any harm I guess

Getting Started

|
QUOTE(kianwee @ May 26 2009, 12:04 PM) That is why the screen is hard coated and damage/scratch resistant. In case you get too annoyed and started to throw the remote at it. Haha.. Good one kianwee. Nah, won't be throwing anything at the plasma. Gotta sit in a specific position in my room to avoid the reflections from being too annoying.

QUOTE(Barricade @ May 26 2009, 02:52 PM) night time still ok la, not that bad. day time really....... Hi all, some questions: (1). What about during nite time when we switch ON the Living room lights and watch? Is it obvious to notice it? (2). This reflection is on the plasma panel or side panel? Any photos to show the reflective issue?

It is the reflection on the plasma panel itself. Downlights seems ok to me.

Drinks anti venom.... I'm not listening... lalalala ============== Actually my next target is a PS3 around July 25 then a receiver/amp next. I have a set of JBL and Sherwood speakers my Uncle gave me and I'm hoping to hook those up first... you can see in the pictures I posted, with the CD's rack on top. When it's time to get the receiver/amp I'll probably need pairing advice... like what's the voltage, resistence etc I should get.

podrunner, i think setting xv colour to auto would be better and from what i can gather, i don't think the tv does anything if the source has no xv color support. setting it to auto will only turn xv color on when it detects the source has xv colour support...

If I'm not mistaken, you can custom select for each AV/HDMI source. xv color is not even there on AVI (astro), so you can't even set it..I guess this could be the "auto" function which may be embedded....dunno.
