Hi,

I am planning to look for a new Plasma TV. At first, I set my sight on the 42PV80h. However, since the new model is out, I am holding it back.

Any significant different between this 2 model? I still do not have time to check out the new model. So hope to get some opinion here  rclxms.gif

Pros: Better contrast, better PQ, better color reproduction, better design & cheaper.

Cons: 3 yrs warranty only compared to PV80 5 yrs

If you can do us a favor when your unit arrived in 2 weeks, pls ask what the price for 50PV80.

Hi, my unit arrived today, I did ask them about the price of PV80 for 42" and 50".

They told me they no longer have stock for those, previously they are selling 50" at RM4800. Panasonic stop producing PV80.

Component output is better than s-video. But if it's Astro, then s-video is the only option.

Panasonic plasma th-p42x10k is now at RM 3529.00 with all the freebies.

Without RM 2880.00. from a shop in PJ.

You mean your own shop? Jintexelectronics? Self promote? doh.gif

what bull lah. Nothing to do with the huge market. UK also so cheap and yet, UK has only double the population of Malaysia.

So the big question again is, why is Panasonic having such big price disparity between 42 and 50 inch panels.

No logic. 70% is way too high.

Furthermore, in developed markets like UK, there are more brands to choose from and consumers have a bigger choice. There are more than 10 major brands competing for 58 mil people

In Malaysia, only 5 or 6 strong brands.

And yet, these 5 or 6 can capture 25 million people

Everybody is entitled to their own opinion, there is no reason to start a flame war, especially with your tainted reputation here. You don't want the same thing that happened a few weeks to happen again do we? There's always a nice way to put your words, no need to start flaming.

Full Hd does make a difference if you have larger screens and if you are feeding it with the right source.  To say that Full Hd doesn't make a difference is ignorance!  After all Full Hd screen is only cost slightly more these days so why not go for it?

Is there a way to access the service menu on the panasonic plasma Tv ourself?

LOLz, talking about ignorance, you should check a few pages back on how we access the service menu ourself.
