got this from gizmodo, apple is relaxing some restrictions and publish app review guideline

l>>>> LINK <<<<<

Good news for app developers? less restrictions >> more developers >> more apps?

QUOTE
— The App Store℠ has revolutionized the way mobile applications are developed and distributed. With over 250,000 apps and 6.5 billion downloads, the App Store has become the world's largest mobile application platform and App Store developers have earned over one billion dollars from the sales of their apps.
We are continually trying to make the App Store even better. We have listened to our developers and taken much of their feedback to heart. Based on their input, today we are making some important changes to our iOS Developer Program license in sections 3.3.1, 3.3.2 and 3.3.9 to relax some restrictions we put in place earlier this year.
In particular, we are relaxing all restrictions on the development tools used to create iOS apps, as long as the resulting apps do not download any code. This should give developers the flexibility they want, while preserving the security we need.
In addition, for the first time we are publishing the App Store Review Guidelines to help developers understand how we review submitted apps. We hope it will make us more transparent and help our developers create even more successful apps for the App Store.
The App Store is perhaps the most important milestone in the history of mobile software. Working together with our developers, we will continue to surprise and delight our users with innovative mobile apps.

Hi Everyone,

I'm glad to inform that my indie company Pringgle Media has just released its first app for the iPhone and iPod touch not long ago. It's called iWorry.

iWorry is the first worry journal app on the App Store and it helps users to handle their worries and problems more effectively and it is based on the following 4 main ideas:
  1. Keep a worry list by writing worries down the moment they occur
  2. Schedule a specific time to worry
  3. Have a worry place to be with themselves
  4. Think through and decide on its solution or action.

Instead of using a normal notepad (paper or electronic), iWorry has these to offer:
  • Good mobility as users carry their iPhone wherever they go
  • Scheduling worry time
  • Choosing worry place
  • Quick entry of worry and tag
  • Worry list can be viewed only after scheduled time is reached
  • Worry list can be filtered by a tag
  • Deletion of multiple worries at one go
  • Entry of decision and tag when thinking through a worry
  • Logbook that keeps all reviewed worries for future reference
  • Unlimited number of worries can be stored
  • Password protection
  • Web resources on how to handle worries more effectively

To find out more about iWorry, you may check out its product page or its App Store page.

iWorry is now available on the U.S. App Store for $2.99 and is priced according in other regions. There's also a free version called iWorry Lite that you can download for free from the App Store.

I welcome all kinds of constructive comments and feedback.

Thanks sogoatticus.

Yes, iWorry is kind of like reminder but it's more than that.

It's actually a worry journal that let you capture your worrying thoughts and problems the moment they occur. By writing your worries and problems down, you get them out of your head as quickly as possible so that you can focus on other more important things.

You then schedule a worry time and select a worry place. When the scheduled time is reached, only then you think through your recorded worries and problems. For each worry, you either write down its solution if it's solvable, or delete it from iWorry and your life if it's unsolvable or out of your control.

If you happened to have an iPhone or iPod touch, you may download a copy of iWorry Lite for free from the App Store.

Linkable is an extension utility that sends your current URL link in your browser to your iOS device. With its simple interface and device management system, all you have to do is to select your device from your account and Linkable will send that link over to it, where you can immediately open and view the sent link. Linkable on the iOS will also store the list of links that you have sent from your browser for future references.

Available on the App Store: Linkable App

Linkable Browser Extension: Linkable Web

I have a simple notepad app here called LittlePad

http://sites.google.com/site/chenkuangyap/

There's a new version being reviewed by apple so see how it goes...

I designed and programmed it myself but the code is a bit messy due to
inexperience.

If anyone likes my work and wants to collaborate on my next project:
LittleWeb a web browser with a killer interface, please drop me a mail.

There are plenty of different self help book that you can find in MPH/Popular. Anyone dedicated enough can make an app. I'm a college dropout smile.gif

Hi, developers.

Have a question here. For those who are interested iPhone/iPad development and wanted to have a try, do we still have to fork out USD99 just to be able to download the SDK. I went over to Apple's developers site and could not find a way to just download it without an Apple ID. Is this true? However, I read somewhere that there is a free version that only allows to be ran on an emulator (and of course cannot sell on app store). Does this still apply with iOS SDK 4.1?

Need some guidance here,

iPhone/iPad developer wannabe

I got the sdk for free. but the apps will only run on a simulator not the actual iphone/ipod. If you pay the 99 USD/year
you can install them and sell as many of them as you like, give your apps to friends etc and of course use them on your
own iphone too.

If you don't have an apple ID you must create one using an iTunes account mmm i think so - the one you use to buy apps
on the app store. I think you need a credit card.

there is no need any degree for developing apps, as long as you enjoy programming and enjoy solving some logic problem/math problems, you can do it. a 9 years-old kid also can do it. smile.gif happy coding!
