Hi guys. Need some help in choosing a SFF casing. Can recommend one which can accommodate a 5770 or 5850? I'm hoping to spend less than rm250.
Also, is a custom HSF necessary in a SFF setup or can stock cooling do the job? I'm planning to go for a PhenomII x4 955 with either a 5770 or 5850. Not planning to do any major overclocking. |

you should look for this bro
XQBOX it would fit up to 5850 with a bit of stress on the power connector for the two PCI-E connector loh .. but it's a case with lots of potential .. meanwhile for ur query regarding cooler, it should be fine to use stock cooler. but that doesn't limit u to not using 3rd party cooler... after all .. cooler environment also gives u lower case temperature .. good for other components. |

stock cooler aint so noisy anymore la....the prescott days where stock coolers were screamers have long passed...thank god.
im using a Q6600 stock cooler (mounted on e5200) in my XQBox and its quiet. only makes a little more noise when the room is hot. when the aircond is on, sometimes i dunno if the pc is on or not oso. |

Hi guys,
I'm helping my brother build a sff desktop. his requirement is that it has to be a PORTABLE desktop. you see, he sold off his laptop coz he decided in the end he want a computer that can upgrade. he doesn't like every year or so change laptop. so, I already got these: Asus M2N68-AM Plus 7850 BE Huntkey greenstar 550 2GB Kingston DDR2 DVD writer ATI 4850 The above he wants to put inside a XQBOX X-CUBE. he wants to be able to take this desktop around with him. so scenario is: home>office>starbucks(!) Obviously, the monitor is the main problem. are there any solutions anyone can suggest? is it possible to hook up a car sun-visor LCD or other portable monitor to his desktop? a standard lcd desktop monitor is too large he says and will make it hard for him to move around. he travels outstation alot too and wants his computer with him. thanks guys, really appreciate any suggestions you may have. personally.. i think it's impossible to have a portable desktop
c'mon, ppl think it's quite impossible to carry a conventional laptop around, hence the sprouts of netbooks.. there's a possibility, get a thermaltake lanbox with a USD399 7" LCD from thermaltake also.. but wait.. ur fren has a tight budget right? lol no offence thou', but why didnt he think or at least do more research b4 selling the lappy? Added on November 7, 2009, 4:17 amheck.. i'll even add in a pic for u to see.. ![]() This post has been edited by evolutioner: Nov 7 2009, 04:17 AM |

Hi there, I've been trying to search for AOpen G326 in black but so far unsuccessfull. Most that are in stock is red in colour. too striking. prefer subdued and neutral colour. it's for my brother.
anyone here knows if, let's say, i'm unable to source a black case, is it possible to repaint the red parts to black if i end up taking the red one? i assume that the red parts that stick out is plastic. are they removable? btw, i also opened a WTB topic in trade zone. Anyone thinkning of selling theirs can PM me. thanks |
