Huh? They are the best compare wth those from UT & WT. Those from UT & WT are mostly Korean or china made.

Simple but the quality is damn good..The ligghtweight down feather jacket much lighter than any sold by UT/WT 7 will not adding lotsa weight to your luggages.. And I tested it wth normal down feather from UT/ Goin places..very fast warming...those lightweight down jackets also available in Seoul Morning market (Esp namdaemun) but pricing almsot similar to Uniglo or more expensive to my suprise!!
Good buy..Travel light not heavy |

With the introduction of Uniqlo, there's more trendier choice and affordable winter wear.
If it's RM169 now, I think it's a very good price so grab it. Like stimix, mentioned ; it's 99k won in Korea when I was there in Dec. Forgot to mention, it's easily packed unlike the bulky version (like a T-shirt). The only down part is, it's not water proof. So if next time, snowing and all, you can don a waterproof & windproof jacket outside ontop of that down jacket. And I would still guarantee it's not going to be that bulky as those selling in Winter Time even after wearing that 2 layer as I suggested. This post has been edited by b00n: Feb 18 2011, 01:36 AM |

For example like what I mentioned above, something like this:
This is Lafuma instead of Uniqlo. But obviously much more expensive. I use this because the outer layer, I can use it on my tropical trip or my outdoor trips. Another option is Fleece + waterproof jacket. This sort of fleece is also available in Uniqlo and not expensive and packable also. However, how it will withstand the winter, am not sure. But wearing this (the fleece) to sleep in an aircond room is quite comfortable and comfy. |

First of all, not sure if this is the right section to post instead of trends+fashion, kindly move it there.
Of course I don't expect you guys that visited winter countries to buy it there since u would probably be frozen to death before visiting the shopping mall, so for sure would buy in Malaysia first. I would just like to know what are the price range of Winter Wear(as in the huge thick jacket) that usually can be found at Winter Traveller or Winter Times? Is it really expensive at RM500 or less or more? |

if u go during snowing time, rm 500 will probabaly get you wool under shirt/pants, scarves, gloves. A good overcoat (at least knee level) will set you back rm 500 already.

How do you wash the winter clothings and long johns?
do you send it to dobi for dry cleaning? or, do you wash it at home? and, if you just bought it, do you wash it before you travel? thanks - need some tips here |

Hrm, for your winter jacket, what material?
Mine is not down feather, just normal dunno what it's called. I put washing machine n then dry accordingly. Then put in box with those silica gel packs so nothing will grow on it. I dun use long john coz my body can tahan cold. |

Depends on the material.
My down jacket cannot wash at home, sent for dry cleaning. The long john made of wool I use the wool washing program that my washing machine have. If underwear I wash before using them cos you donno if the last person who tried it out have STD. |
