shhhh..

Anyway, the down jacket served me well mah..hahha..at minus 11C and windchill of minus 20C. Althought out of fashion, its only cost less than RM270 compare to those North face or spyder that cost >RM2000 each haha.. biggrin.gif BTW, those ppl in Korea or probably in beijing wearing so simple..We are more fashioneable then them biggrin.gif

Bought it from Marks & Spencer in 1980. Serve me well in many Cold countries! And will still use it since it is still in good condition!

Was in Shanghai, saw many shops making and repairing down feather jackets. Was told it is the best material for cold winter. Lightest weight yet THE best protection against cold and wind chill!

Yeah I'm a fan of down jackets too. Light and serves its purpose well. When it's blizzarding cold out there, screw fashion.

Sure trench coats look trendy, nice and pretty but I feel they're more for autumn or early winter. Once you start getting strong winds and single-digit temperatures (and below), down jackets will protect you best.

For me one down jacket is enough I don't need any more layer other than just a shirt + jacket. Now I'm in Shanghai, average around 5-6 degrees everyday.

trench coats are for peak winter. its to prevent your jeans or long pants from getting wet from the snowing season and slush. doh.gif

I disagree. Synthetic fibers are the best. Down jackets are not wind resistant. Problems with down jacket is that down absorbs moisture and clumps up. Also , over time, down drops to the bottom half of the jacket

If you are young, winter is fun. If age catches up with you, winter if not fun. Try shoveling Toronto's wet snow and see if it is fun. Try walking on icy pavement and roads. is it fun?? Old people don't like winter. That's why so many snowbirds(old people) headed south to escape winter

Uniglo is the best interm of quality but very limited design compare to the stores I saw in Seoul.

Others normally imported Koreans/ China designs but also OK. almsot similar pricing & lotsa discount esp Universal Travelers..read few pages on types of winter clothing suit diff temperature.. The chart from Winter times probably the best references

Btw, For Uniqlo

For Me, I Feel that The Just Like A "IKEA" Product.

Got Brand/Design, But No Quality. Correct Me If Wrong.

Maybe Their Price Tag On High.
