ic, low astig there. freshkon alluring eye is suitable as acuvue define u cant wear for long hours esp if u have dry eyes. besides, alluring eye is cheaper too. thanks

may i know what is the different between O2 optic and Air optic?
Also, what's the different between toric lens and normal lens?

hi, u need toric lens for both eyes if u required clear vision. normal lens will not be able to provide u clear vision due to ur high astigmatism. thanks

Hello jialat, I'd just like to ask regarding some hygienic steps for contact lens wearing. I wear O2 Optix on a daily basis.

Before wearing, I rinse the lens with saline solution. Is this step necessary? Because many friends that I know do not use saline at all. Heck, they don't even know what it is. After taking the lens off, I rub and rinse it with Opti-Free Replenish before soaking it overnight. I also leave my lens casing to air-dry during the day.

Should I get protein-removal tablets as well? I've never used them, so quite unsure of it. Also, I'm using Allergan's Refresh Liquigel as my eye drops. Is this particular eye drop good? I do not use it often, so I hardly ever finish it in one month, is it okay to use it after a month?

Oh and, if my power is -5.50, -5.00 contact lens should be correct, right?

yes, is a very good practice to rinse the lens with saline before insert onto ur cornea. saline helps wash away the chemical content in solution, thus reduce chances of allergic reaction. u have been practicing very good contact lens hygiene there, good on u.

protein removal is not necessary if u continue to take good care of lens like u mentioned.

is the allergan refresh liquigel in liquid or gel form? is best to use liquid refreshing drops. allergan is a very good brand, well recognised world wide.

i usually recommend patient to use the eye drop within 1 month or so, dont keep it for too long, some of them actually put it in fridge but i m not sure how good the drop is after being 'cool'

I feel that the Refresh Liquigel is actually just liquid, just slightly more viscous than their original one, Refresh Tears. But their website states that it's "extra strength gel drops for dry eyes". I've previously been using Tears, and actually bought Liquigel by accident. Found that Liquigel provides more relief and lasts longer, but as it is more concentrated, it tends to leave salt around my eyes after it dries up. Should I revert back to Tears since I do not use it as often anymore?

yes my advise would be switched back to tears, the liquid form if ur dry eye problem is not very serious. gel form is prescribed for those with more severe dry eye. thanks
