Some of J&J lenses can be very poor quality like acuvue clear but acuvue oasys are very good lens.

While B&L lenses are ok quality but their HD lens can give much better vision. Thanks

Hi jialat. I just got my first pair of contact lens last week. I got biofinity toric for both eyes, but i'm having difficulty focusing nearby objects. Nearby objects look slightly blurry, and I'm having difficulty reading and doing my work on PC. But far objects have no focusing problem.

Is it normal? My optometrist said it's normal, and i'll get used to it over time. But I want a second opinion. My contact lens are
R -6.50 -0.75 20
L -6.50 -0.75 160

My eye prescription was
R -7.00 -0.75
L -6.50 -1.00

I got my eye checked by an optometrist in paris miki klcc, and she recommended me these lens. So, is it normal? or should i try another power/brand/optometrist?

Hi, assuming u are a young ppl, less than 40 year old, then u should not face any problem with near vision even with contact lens unless the power is wrong. And from ur eye prescription, its very clearly that she gave u the wrong power contact lens for ur left eye. Pls go back to her and ask for her name, then ask why she gave u the over-corrected power lens for left eye. I want to know what is the reason too. Thanks

Wah really from Israel? Checked out their website not a single word is mentioned about Israel.

Anyways, now I know who to contact if I decide to get contact lens in the near future assuming I don't go for Lasik.

Thanks! notworthy.gif

Yes bro, it is manufactured in Israel, and malaysia optometrist need to buy through 3rd party, ie canada, uk or us. Thus the cost u paying is very much higher compared to that 3 countries. Feel free to contact me if u need any lens, pls add me in facebook too to check out my customer feedbacks.

FB : contactlense@hotmail.com

Hi, its best to see an optometrist to get ur eyes checked 1st to see what lens suit u the best. They will teach u how to handle and take care of the lens. Get 1 pair from them to try out 1st before purchase lens in box. Thanks

Well said man jialat. Jia lat la you nickname:) I'm using Acuvue from Johnson & Johnson. As for the solution I use Solo Care Aqua by CIBA vision. Really suit my eyes. I wear for sports purpose only other than that is too dry to wear long hours..

Thanks bro.

There are many types of acuvue lens from J&J. Avoid using acuvue clear, its their worst lens. Lots of protein deposit will build up even after short hours wear. it doesnt suit dry eye ppl too. try their acuvue moist or acuvue oasys for sport purposes, best is still daily lens, just throw after use. Thanks

Master jialat, went to the optometrist and got the reading as per above. The power has definitely grown but the good news is astigmatism has dropped, almost to the level i dont need to use toric lens anymore..

Need your view on this, since i have bought a few months of supplies, Right using normal lens, Left using toric lens. Is it likely/normal for one's eyes to fluctuate (especially the astig part) ?

Testing both eyes on toric, the vision is great. Same result with only L on toric. However with both without toric, objects farther are getting blur

hi Ivan, u will need toric lens for left eye, otherwise distance vision could be blurred.

There are cases where astigmatism have been outgrow and nullified when a child grows, because the corneal surface curvature changed, but not many.

U definitely can use normal lens on right eye because astig is only -0.50 and can be compensated. Thanks.

You are better than the sales personnel in the optical shop, honest and sincere to help bros here.

No wonder my eyes gets dry up so badly from time to time. At times it works fine at times I just cannot tolerate the dryness that causes irritation to my eyes.

@@"

Jia lat bro do you have a shop or something? I can buy from you.

On other note, is Solo Care Aqua from CIBA vision ok?

Hi, i have no idea what lens is 3 pcs in a box, selling rm 79. I know air optix is 3 pcs in a box, rm 69 a box, good for sensitive eyes.

If u want a much better lens, then try acuvue oasys. Much more comfortable than air optix but more expensive. Thanks
