QUOTE(hanz079 @ Jun 8 2009, 03:25 AM) I m using MadzCat SE too and so far it works fine. Maybe the quick connect attached to the buttons in ur stick were loosen. open up and push it back and it should be fine. anyway, will be upgrading it wif seimitsu parts once they arrived This post has been edited by Star_Scream: Jun 8 2009, 09:34 AM |

It's not that Madcatz SE don't work fine. It's just that it has quite horrible quality control. If you're lucky, you'll get an ok stick. If you're unlucky, it'll have some sort of defect on it.
HRAP3 has pretty good quality control and it has a bigger base. You only need to change the buttons to Sanwa if you like. |

just came back from a short trip to JB n SG ... of course i paid a visit to TKA Virtualand at Bugis Junction to feel the REAL ARCADE !!
OMG !!! the competition is high there in terms of QUALITY n QUANTITY !!! In fact spend the whole morning and afternoon there ... spend the most worth while SGD9 there ahahaha, max win i could gather is about 5 wins in a row but damn, its really a hill to climb consider the gief n sagat soldiers out there ... but its really nice, "a new challenger ..." keep on coming up on screen, i think to play 2 rounds with AI is quite IMPOSSIBLE hahaha ... Fought with a 20 wins ryu and damn .... kena trashed like a kid hahahaah ... fun fun fun !!! However, i do find there are slight differences on playing with those viewlix cabinet compared to console, I feel that the speed is slightly faster than console, meanings charge get charged up faster, links needs to be pressed faster oso (somehow easier). Apart from that, need few games to get use to it due to the eye screen distance. Its so near that everything seems so big !! hahaha Anyway, i find that the cabinets were not equipped with SF4 card system well, now back to console |

And make sure all the QD are well and tight... Yet 2 hours later, blam!! Down left doesn't register, middle kick stop responding to presses unless I hit it really hard... Same like you, I'm waiting for the seimitsu parts as well... Well, back to my soul calibur 2 stick then... |

Next time you guys wanna come down to SG, do tell me!! And yes, the standard at Bugis TKA is quite high. The tourney players play there almost every evening. On Friday/Saturday nights, the same bunch of guys will be there until the arcade shutdowns. The console speed and arcade speed is the same. It's a placebo effect that makes you think it's faster (adrenaline's pumping!). Last time they had a machine linked up to the big screen. That one even more stress!! There are 8 SF4 machines which are all interlinked. During peak hours, you can't even find a space to play. You'll have to put your coin on the machine to book the machine!OMG !!! the competition is high there in terms of QUALITY n QUANTITY !!! QUOTE(mikeeeee @ Jun 5 2009, 09:23 AM) Morning Phyurix !!! I too regretted that we couldn't meet up as Kodanshi's plan ... If it were weekend, most likely we can get a few rounds of offline games. My bad. Ho ho, New Toy, Empty Wallet!!!! Anyway, heard from nick that you most likely will be visiting KL periodically due to See you next round !!! or in PSN kekeke Added on June 5, 2009, 9:28 amoh ya, forgot to congrate you for acquiring a "NEW" toy Yeah, its too bad we couldn't meet up, Kodanshi almost wanted to crash your place (bringing me along) and go all out SF4 with everyone haha. Will hope in the future that we may have a chance to meet up QUOTE(rawfish @ Jun 5 2009, 10:28 AM ) Hi phyurix, sorry I couldn't make it - by the time I free'd myself in the evening Freddy said you left already. On the second day I was very free but I only heard the news of a meetup a little bit too late! I heard from Freddy, he told me the next day when I came over for a photo session for rememberance, after I left on the 1st day, almost everyone came by and he forgot to inform everyone As mike said, hope blossoms and blossoms and air ticket prices get cheaper and cheaper Hopefully with more cheap flights (and wallet getting thicker), I can come over again to KL. QUOTE(Darkstalker @ Jun 5 2009, 03:35 PM) Dude, if you're around in two week's time Saturday/Sunday, drop by Midvalley Megamall. There's an SFIV marathon going on Saturday, witht he top 8 players with the highest number of wins going on to the next day knockout stages. Would be cool to meet you. Heard from Kodanshi about it, heard the grand prize was a PS3 Same goes for everyone else really, if you're free drop by~! I posted the details in teh tournament thread, but I lost the link to the tournament thread... XD I don't think I can get another weekend off for such an event sadly, but its ok, I give chance to Kodanshi so he may get a PS3 QUOTE(sce @ Jun 5 2009, 06:50 PM) yo..bro. coming kl no visit me meh ..let me know mah ..i come and play with u sf4 .hehehe Haha, sorry la bro, didn't have enough timeto go everywhere. Cuti-Cuti Malaysia to the Max already. Only got 2 days a bit free to try to meet up with everyone. Also, I didn't know where was your shop, that time when I went to Sengei Wang only by chance I saw Kodanshi and Freddy Well, the trip was fun. Although didn't get to meet with everyone but it wasn't a total waste. Had some nice matches with tristan, kodanshi and freddy when I was there. After had a taste of the HRAP3 straight away want to get it haha Hopefully will get to see everyone on the next trip (dunno when la) |

The bolded part could be very true !!!! hehehe or probably the eye screen distance ... Actually i was trying to spot for you but I don't see any Dictator around and of course don't have your contact ler However, made some friends with locals there and they told me i should have come 1 day earlier cuz they had the tournament qualifier on Saturday night at that very same place. Really wish we have the scene here locally. On the side note, saw the latest KOF machines as well, the sprites were nice but somehow to my eye, the rendering doesn't look smooth for the characters movements and of course not as many playing KOF there then. |

So there's still no SF4 machine in any KL arcades eh? And to think I played it in Bugis in November 08. That's more than 6 months ago! So hard to believe not a single SF4 arcade unit made it to KL.
Seriously, miss those arcade days. I think arcade operators are missing out on an opportunity here. Wouldn't even mind if it was a PS3 modified cabinet, like those Tekken 5 PS2 modified in the arcades with unlimited stages hahaha |

How I wish we would have even a mini tourney at my side, I don't think there would be anyone who wanna play it here. Unless theres a PS3+2 HRAP3+SF4 as the grand prize XD

QUOTE(mikeeeee @ Jun 8 2009, 10:43 AM) Anyway, i find that the cabinets were not equipped with SF4 card system I think the card system is exclusive to Japan. I can get you one(or more if you want Oh and, to those who know, whats the diff between Seimitsu/Sanwa buttons? I'm using HRAP3 with Sanwa buttons and I'm loving em so far. I'm using HRAP3 with Sanwa buttons and I'm loving em so far. main difference between SAnwa and SEimitsu should be looks and also the feel when button is pressed. SE should be more clicky type compared to SA. Once we receive our SE hopefully can give u more detail |
