Hah. Good to see that the interest for zoids is still alive in malaysia. long live zoids! I have been out of the scene for a while but am pretty glad that the current released has slowed down. At least got a chance to catch up on older stuff. Ed, mtv place is LAKEFIELDS la. Lets meet at litt tak warehouse first, then can go to my place.

I am fairly into zoids. I had a bazillion when I was younger...trying to find them now in a basement that might as well be defined as "junk yard".

I was wondering where you guys order your zoids now?

When i was young I just got them at walmart and what not...(I'm in the U.S.)

Now I don't see them sold anywhere and was just wondering whats the best website that is trustworthy and has decent prices.

I Really like the HMM zoids, they are sick.

So any help is appreciated.

Where did you order all those HMM in your sig?

This is a recycle post.. but its what I have and still.. last time I tried to sell the whole lot.. but some friends advise me not too.. at the end.. I still have all of em. I started in 2002. Wanted to start HMM but price is way too expensive.. but they have details in their products so for those who want it.. you'll have to pay for it. My collection is still MISB. I love the artwork on the boxes..

Xnyhc73: HMM can get at XL-shop & robotica Subang jaya now, but ealier i got them from singapore and YJA (especially the limiteds). My sig is running out of space after i build my Geno breaker lol. If you have problems obtaining them let me know i can help source.

I intend to have a more depth discussion for this new V3 thread, instead of "wah, oooo, OMG, nice, good, great, how much, where to get?....." replies. I hope everybody agrees with me.

At this juncture i wish i have a good display for my zoids collection. It's getting massively big at the moment and my baby is coming along soon. The dust is the main problem although most shelves are sealed in transparent book wrappers (got the idead from ahtiven). I may have to move my collection to another room so that my baby stuff can be place there and have a healthy environment. I've actually lost count of my zoids numbers, presumely 400+ and counting. I will know once i moved them to the spare room i have.

Faizzaki: Where did you get that glass windowed shelf?

Another thing about collecting zoids, friends, made some good friends. We are not big, but thats our strongest point, we are closely knitted. Our motto is not about building an empire for zoids but bringing awareness and creating friendship.

let me just borrow this from ZP forum "Make a ZOIDS friend first. Buy a ZOIDS toy later".


OK, i just bought the Geno breaker, it cost me RM328. I know in Penang you can get it for RM300. It's a heavy box and much bigger than all the HMM boxes i have. The plastic sprues are filled to the top, i bet this has the most parts of any HMMs, i may be wrong but i will count the parts when i build it....NAH! HMM is a great line and is improving. Improving in the sense, structural design on body segments and limb. They are more sturdier now compared to those of HMM Shield Liger, Blade Liger and Command wolf.

I must say the HMM's are very nice.. but price aside.. even when building them... whoaaaaaaa.. I get tired very easily.. the strain on my eyes.. cant do it.. manage to build shield liger and command wolf.. even that my body aches.. hehe.. gues I'm getting old.. of course when you do normal zoids.. its a snap!! HMM is a challenge.. a really really good challenge. Let see you younger guys do it..

Coleturner: Yea building HMM has a strain on every part of your body. My eyes gets blurry and i can't look at the manual afar. Every parts completed you need to get up and walk around, smoke or something. I had this phobia sometimes, when you open the box and close it back immediately and wait for another day.

Dunnola Ed, damn paiseh if I suddenly show up after all this while with nothing to my name.... I think you can put my name in. I'll try to rush as fast as possible.

For building HMM it helps if you don't rush in it all at once. Patience is a virtue at most 3 hours a day on the kit so you don't lose interest and fatigue. I took 2 months to assemble a command wolf...

Couldn't agree more. I was building Saber Tiger Schwalz last night, work until 3am, got impatient at a stuck piece and used too much force, almost snapped it. ended up with a bloody finger.

as much as i love the mechanical ingenuity of the TOMY zoids, i really enjoy the process of building the Koto HMM kits. but it's really easy to work on for too long and got tired and impatient. or maybe it's just me.

Anyone know if its possible to pre-order the HMM buster tortoise yet?

I can see that you can buy the Cannon Tortoise but I'm not seeing anything on the Buster Tortoise.

Yea no one has an official confirmation when it will be released. It will come as separate unit unlike the molga. Only pictures are shown in Japan Exhibition. Until further notice we will know of the exact release date.

Gotcha, that (this may sound weird) has always been my favorite zoid and I am extremely surprised they are making a HMM of it so I am psyched.

Previously, I used to do Gundam models. Now, I change direction

Now, I am having a red saber tiger, Black saber tiger with big weapon on its body. and recently, I bought another zoids that is Geno breaker.

I am still building the red saber tiger, very slow cos I need to sand it, apply putty and eventually Air brush it.

The black saber tiger and the Geno breaker is above my cupboard, it will take some time to complete

I hope every one in this forum will help and share more of the zoids cos I am new here..

hai, I just learn how to post picture here...the above picture is the tail part, notice the putty I apply cos there is a seam line...

gundam76, take it easy with the putty man. otherwise, go gila trying to fix every seam line. Kudos to you if you do though...

I will still "cheat" a little, especially where I can enlarge the seam so it looks more like a standard gap in the mecha.

I've not bought from leoshop before but they have been around for many years and i've heard many time over, they are legit.

And how about Hobby Search aka www.1999.co.jp/eng they have some cheap stuff there as well but I just want to know if it is legit as well.

the reflector use to minimize the shadow. as you can see very strong light coming from the window. Yes, you can use camera flash light direct to the object, but it will leave a very strong white light at the object and the background will expose.
but if you try natural light source, defuse all the flashlight using umbrella. It will give more natural and killing look !

as for Normal compact camera, try to use manual mode if you have one. If you can master aperture, shutter speed, iso , so yes you can produce almost the same quality.

It's just my 2cent opinion. I'm still learning photography

well, last year I bought a book from this website I just shared with you http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10075381 and Jap rate at that time is 32. that means Rm64.00 but this website they dont give you total how much you need to pay until they send out. They are using EMS and it is very expensive. When they shipped out, total cost roughly Rm120++. Just imagine the flight charges so high.

The red part is too thick, do you think so ?? Do you mix with other colour when you apply colour ? for me, my sifu told me every colour have to mix at least 2 type of colour so that the result is better.

I hope I have a chance to meet you so that we can really discuss about AB, how to mix with colour and others...

Not really, have you seen Brembo disc brakes before? Their calipers are really heavy-duty painted stuff, which I sought to replicate here.

It's up to the preference of the builder to mix the color for their kits. For me, I'd prefer to use out of bottle colors as I have terrible long-term memory . I tried experimenting and always end up mixing different colors each time.

Again, it's all up to the builder. I might be going for the April 11 gathering so that's a good time.

well, sorry If I hurt your feeling, if the colour is thick it is ok, but the way I look at it, thick and uneven very obvious......

I like to mix with colour, the result is better and it looks more striking .... once I try out some of the colour, it is a new discovery
new challenge and new experience.. I sometimes do screw up but I learn from mistake.
