What Zoids did people find at the previously held Litt Tak warehouse sale (13 - 15 March)? Or totally none already?

Almost end of the month. Budget time!
What are attendees bringing for Sale/Trade to the 3rd General Meeting of LYN Zoids Assembly at PWTC? Anything on the catalogs posted by Sir Edmaestro would be just a dream for me, I think. HMM Zoids look like fun but with the putty, paint and glue needed? My toenail clipper and school knife would fee very unloved. |

QUOTE(kindredd @ Mar 25 2009, 06:56 PM) Check out this guys site. Its an old school zoider modifier...google translated version zoid mods. Beautiful find, Master Kindredd! It's great to see Zoids getting some love treatment. Those tips on modding for extra movements are fabulous but I think Google got confused with the translation. Makes for disjointed reading. About your planned model shoot: NJR Godos + NJR Blue Shield Liger + NJR Red Sabre. Any others invited to the party (e.g. Tiga Godos, Great Sabre)? |

QUOTE(ahmad fadzli @ Mar 27 2009, 07:52 AM) ...any one can tell me more about this type of zoids n the shop available here in malaysia. Welcome, fadzli. Glad to see another person willing to give Zoids a chance at survival. Unfortunately, Zoids aren't as abundant as Gundam models in our shops here. KL-ites are a luckier lot, in this respect. Jusco seems to be bringing in HMM Kotobukiya Zoids and of course, a majority of Zoids sellers on eBay Malaysia are available for C.O.D at LRTs and malls around Selangor side. In Kuching, all I've seen are Elephander, Deadly Kong and Leogator. What Zoids available in Ipoh? You're looking for motorized Zoids? Edmaestro's got some of the new models and reissues for sale. TS Ahtiven's got his built and MIB sets of vintage OJRs/Zoids2/NJRs(?). For an instant collector's haul, Cole's got that covered! Where to get non-motorized HMMs? That's the topic that started this V.3 thread, yes? Singapore seems to have more Zoids in their shops. I don't know about southern Thailand. Anyone know what are the chances of being stopped and saman by Johor Kastam if you're bringing in a haul after a weekend shopping spree at CSC Singapore? Or would airport kastam be more lenient? QUOTE(ahmad fadzli @ Mar 27 2009, 12:33 PM) Gathering is at Bro Kindredd's house (Thank you for allowing us to play with your Zoids! I am also at the mercy of hardcore Zoiders on this forum to show me the way. Sir Ahtiven and/or Edmaestro - What day is it going to be on? Saturday, 11 April (with Mr Yap) or Sunday, 12 April (without Mr Yap)? Zoids for sale by forum members can be found under "Garage Sales" section of Lowyat.net. Just search for...what else? Zoids! @Cole: ".. hey everything is availble here!! know that kind of feeling??" I get that feeling every time I visit Yahoo Japan! Used to get that feeling when visiting Kuala Lumpur malls too. My current dream of having two of each Zoid model seems so unattainable now. Besides, I'd need a climate-controlled warehouse to keep them all! Master Ed, when are you building your Zoids museum and charging tourists RM12 per entry to view them? NO TOUCHING! NO FLASH! |

Genobreaker Raven special! Have fun painting the little figure inside. My cousin almost got cross-eyed painting Van and Fiona that came with his Blade Liger.
My bro's got this model. The ON-OFF switch is beautifully positioned so as to be inaccessible to big, clumsy fingers. And I don't care if it's got a waddling-duck walk! All toy soldiers will tremble in fear at its approach. To those who've had this assembled for a long time - How's the quality off this kit holding up? I read on zoids.us that there was some issues with the plastic? |

QUOTE(gundam76 @ Mar 27 2009, 04:37 PM) ...now I am lost I'm sad to hear you can't make it to the gathering this 11 April. Would have been nice to meet more people I can "reserve" items from! So many parts to ZOIDS hobby, so little time and money. Blame Takara-Tomy for bringing Zoids to the world in many, many formats! > There's the motorised and non-motorised models which we all love. > There's the series of anime which Sir Edmaestro's graciously offered to share (Thanks, Sir!). > The Battle Storied boxes, comics, magazines and print media (who's got the UK comics?). Speaking of which, how goes the translation, Sir Ahtiven? The Japanese and Chinese Battle Story are different? |

QUOTE(EDMAESTRO @ Mar 27 2009, 07:17 PM) who's not going to the gathering? Who can't make it from the list of confirm guest i mean? Whoops! Forgot to put the almighty tag "@gundam76:" before my opening statement of my post. Wasn't our bro here on the guest list? Apologies for the alarm. And, Welcome to Zoids, eanson. Too bad we both got poisoned when the glory days of NJR are past. Still, there's the Zoids Graphics and Rebirth Century models although I don't know how long the latter will be in production. Is the recently released Gul Tiger the last confirmed RCZ for this year? |

Those HMM pilots are articulated at the shoulders only? I thought the elbows were jointed as well.
One thing's for sure, I'll think I'll reserve these painting for the blue and grey plastic pilots. Chrome Silver and Gold are too special to me. |

Is the visor of the command wolf covered with sanded-down putty or did you have to use a plastic piece?
I'm toying with the idea of making the Zoids Graphics Orudios to be more like its photographed prototype. Orudios prototype used in promotion shots: Orudios Model: ![]() |

You mean the standing on hind legs stance? For that I'd probably do what was shown on HLJ - just use a string to pull the front-end up! ![]() What I'm hoping for is some way to give Orudios its white Grilles on the leg cover and the rounded part on the chest. The rectangular stub seems so incomplete. ![]() |

QUOTE(ahmad fadzli @ Mar 30 2009, 07:21 AM) Bigger scale than 1:72 for Zoids? The 1:24 scale Zoids!First batch were from the OJR line: R24-4 Megatopros R24-5 Battlerover R24-6 Neptune R24-F2 Sandspeeda E24-1 Deathpion E24-2 Roadskipper E24-3 Dontress E24-7 Gorem E24-F1 Shotwalker Second, the Panzer Tier Wave. This comes with 1:20 scale pilots, I think. I don't own any but the pictures show something like another sprue with pilot parts on it: Wave 01 Gorem Wave 02 Roadskipper Wave 03 Shotwalker Wave 04 Deathpion Wave 05 Dontress Third, the beautiful colours of Zevle line: Gigiima Zargam Zeevao Golgola Land Gallop (Landgallop?) Bolide Toys Dream Project also released reissues of 1:24 scale Zoids: TDP Neptune TDP Deathpion As you can see, Megatropros and Sandspeeda never got reissued. Have you got these to donate? It needs to be mentioned here that the models for 1:24 scale Zoids may NOT be physically bigger than the usual 1:72 scale Zoids models. Largest, mass produced Zoid toy model EVER is still King Gojulas! Well, it's the largest one I've seen thus far.
The 1:24 are nice because: (a). Articulated pilots with bendable elbows, knees and ball-jointed wrists/feet. Also comes with their own weapons. (b). SMOOTH, curvy pieces for the models. ©. Larger surface area makes it easier to paint, I guess. Never tried and I don't think I ever will. They just look too beautiful the way they are. Speaking of which, those museum/bone Zoids - if ink lining was to be done, what colour would make it more "bonelike"? Or would ink-washing be a better technique? EDIT: How nice! "(""c"")" becomes a copyright. This post has been edited by riderTEKRAN: Mar 30 2009, 03:44 PM |

QUOTE(gundam76 @ Mar 31 2009, 11:06 AM) I will show in this forum when I am ready. I have not paint yet cos this will take longer time as I need to take out the part by part to Air brush. Take your time with the Zoids HMM, gundam-defector.You have no choice but to make it look better than any of your previous models! No pressure For the artists out there Should theses museum Zoids be panel-lined? And if yes, what colours to make it more bonelike? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() About the upcoming gathering: Bro Kindredd - have you decided on the cast of actors in your movie? Limited to OJR/NJR Red Sabres? Or are other Sabres free to join (e.g. yellow, Great, etc.)? What other cast members were you looking for? |

QUOTE(EDMAESTRO @ Apr 1 2009, 10:16 PM) Anyway got this today. Tortoise's munching tobacco during battle for superfire-spit attack! ![]() In other news: my cousin recently acquired (and built) an NJR Genosaurer model from TAKARA TOMY's 2007 production run. This does not come with the sitting and standing Raven figure. See evidence: ![]() So for those who are missing Mr.Zoids Anime from their lives - you'd have more luck with TOMY production runs of Genobreaker and Genosaurers. But I don't personally know if ALL versions of TOMY Genosaurer models will have Raven in it. Happy hunting! |
