Hi, I am Gundam76. Introduce by EDMAESTRO to this forum smile.gif smile.gif

Previously, I used to do Gundam models. Now, I change direction brows.gif brows.gif

Now, I am having a red saber tiger, Black saber tiger with big weapon on its body. and recently, I bought another zoids that is Geno breaker.

I am still building the red saber tiger, very slow cos I need to sand it, apply putty and eventually Air brush it.

The black saber tiger and the Geno breaker is above my cupboard, it will take some time to complete blush.gif blush.gif

I hope every one in this forum will help and share more of the zoids cos I am new here..

Couldn't agree more. I was building Saber Tiger Schwalz last night, work until 3am, got impatient at a stuck piece and used too much force, almost snapped it. sweat.gif ended up with a bloody finger.

as much as i love the mechanical ingenuity of the TOMY zoids, i really enjoy the process of building the Koto HMM kits. but it's really easy to work on for too long and got tired and impatient. or maybe it's just me. biggrin.gif
*
yes, all of you well spoken. HMM really very challenging, many small detail parts and very interesting. I too also enjoy building it, but if I am not in a good mood, better don't do, sure the result will not be so good. take our own sweet time assemble it. The end result will be very rewarding.

the reflector use to minimize the shadow. as you can see very strong light coming from the window. Yes, you can use camera flash light direct to the object, but it will leave a very strong white light at the object and the background will expose.
but if you try natural light source, defuse all the flashlight using umbrella. It will give more natural look and killing look ! tongue.gif

as for Normal compact camera, try to use manual mode if you have one. If you can master aperture, shutter speed, iso , so yes you can produce almost the same quality.

It's just my 2cent opinion. I'm still learning photography

well, last year I bought a book from this website I just shared with you http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10075381 and Jap rate at that time is 32. that means Rm64.00 but this website they dont give you total how much you need to pay until they send out. They are using EMS and it is very expensive. When they shipped out, total cost roughly Rm120++. Just imagine the flight charges so high.

another website is http://www.xl-shop.com/

Base on the picture, I can see that you make the hole taper/bigger so that you can dis-assamble it. And the gray colour I assume that you are use surfacer. very impressive .... thumbup.gif thumbup.gif rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif

The red part is too thick, do you think so ?? Do you mix with other colour when you apply colour ? for me, my sifu told me every colour have to mix at least 2 type of colour so that the result is better.

I hope I have a chance to meet you so that we can really discuss about AB, how to mix with colour and others...

Not really, have you seen Brembo disc brakes before? Their calipers are really heavy-duty painted stuff, which I sought to replicate here.

It's up to the preference of the builder to mix the color for their kits. For me, I'd prefer to use out of bottle colors as I have terrible long-term memory . I tried experimenting and always end up mixing different colors each time.

Again, it's all up to the builder. I might be going for the April 11 gathering so that's a good time.  happy.gif
*
unsure.gif unsure.gif well, sorry If I hurt your feeling, if the colour is thick it is ok, but the way I look at it, thick and uneven sweat.gif very obvious......

I like to mix with colour, the result is better and it looks more striking .... once I try out some of the colour, it is a new discovery rclxms.gif rclxms.gif
new challenge and new experience.. shocking.gif I sometimes do screw up but I learn from mistake. rclxub.gif

*
if you want to play safe, you can ask them 1st before you pay.

I suggest you go into more reliable website such as Hobby link Japan

hi guys,

congrats for reaching v3. notworthy.gif

i really like the EZ-016 Saber Tiger Schwartz Ver. thinking of buyin 1, but the shop selling at rm270. izit worth it? unsure.gif
scared got cheated by the shop owner  hmm.gif ..

Since im more a gundam fan... saw this Saber Tiger Schwartz when shopping for gundam's xD.. how bout the quality of it? same like gundam "master grade" ?

tq.
*
hi there, I bought a lot more cheaper , it depends where you buy. Honestly, Rm270 is rather too high liao...If I were you, I will pay extra for the new Geno Breaker.

The one I am building is red saber tiger, Honestly, the plastic is not so good, very fragile. You need to handle carefully, especially asemble it....Take note. However, It is fun to do the assemble. You will NOT regret buying it.

Previously I do Gundam models, now I change direction. however, I still do Gundam, just that not much liao..this year planning is HMM zoids. maybe next year for Gundam, BB Gundam only, not thinking about MG or HG. Just plan only cos budget constrain. cry.gif cry.gif

The plastic is not as bad as everyone thinks. I've build many HMMs and i vouch no plastic has ever got broken and final result is more than satisfying. Kotobukiya has never failed us on quality assurance for high end model kits.

I'm selling my MIB Sabre Schwartz, see my sales list.
*
Sorry Brother Ed, I dont agree with you. Bandai plastic is better than KOTO. this is because I have done many of Gundam models and I do know about it, I have friends in Penang also break some small small parts in saber tiger.

Well, the story is like that, KOTO brand is in Japan, the designer is from Japan, but the moulding is in China. The quality is not so good compare to Bandai. Bandai is fully from Japan.

Hi faizzaki, the glue is not use. dont worry. However, if that parts doesn't fit well, then you have no choice but to use it. I am still my red Saber tiger.

Pro : Zoids model is good : well design and very detail. I like compare to Gundam. they even have very small parts that need to assemble.

Cons : plastic is not so good compare to Bandai. Bandai is using engineering plastic material. I have done PG/MG Gundam, and the plastic is better.

Gundam76, no doubt that Bandai plastic is better (i've heard). But if you read what i wrote I never did compare it with Bandai's plastic quality or I mentioning that is best of all plastics. I'm just saying that it's not true that it is as bad as what people say about koto plastics.  icon_rolleyes.gif

And yea plastic break is sometimes unavoidable. People like me use feather like strength to assemble, unlike some people with King G strength to assemble kits.  biggrin.gif

Btw, avaultz PM you my price!
*
yes, Ed... rclxms.gif

Actually what Ed said is true....The plastic is not as bad as what people said, cos the Japanese people got quality control. You dont have to worry about breaking it, any plastic material is not handle properly will also end up breaking. NOt only Koto but also Bandai as well.

However, I do know the new Geno Breaker, the plastic material is a lot more improvement. If anyone have it, try notice the red parts, got some things like shinning and a bit looks like oilly, ahhh... that one is good plastic. I think ED has finish it, he should know better. nod.gif nod.gif

Dont worry about breaking it. you will not regret for HMM model you buy.Nowadays the quality has been improve compare many years ago.
