Btw, kinda off topic, robot related but not Zoids related. Anyone went to/going to see Pleo under a Pensonic Fair? Saw it in The Star page W40(didn't see the paper's date). Midvalley KL, 29-31 May. It's a robot Dinosaur with rubberized skin. Seen a huge advert for it near the turning to Giant USJ for quite some time.

ed... i bow to your supreme zoids knowledge... i took a look at the instruction sheets again... u were right, my godos IS complete... hahahaaaaaa... well, if anybody by any chance got those extra tail weapons for guysack in sum scrap heap sumwhere that they dont want anymore, gimme a holler... njoy the weekend everybody!

i think its easier to get another complete built guysack than to find scraps. So that you can have 2 guysack with 2 type of configuration.

Hmmm...got nothing to do this Sunday afternoon. I'm baking butter cake today for the Gawai family dinner gathering tonight at Granny's house. To bad rider and moosejoose cant be here to join the family gathering. It feels the gathering will be a little quiet tonight without them . Oh well, Happy GAWAI DAY to rider and moosejoose. I bet they will miss the foods here.

You right Ed, need dark horn a black saber tiger. But still cant afford for those kit. I'm still negotiating with some ebay seller for CP03 for my red horn. Hope to own a dark horn by this year.

The Power Mantis 1/72 #102.

The Unrelease zoids from the HASBRO line but it turn up few years back in 2006 at a UK shop selling 1 pound each. No one knows how they got their hands on the unrelease zoids but rumoured that they bought it wholesale under old or abandon toys from an unknown source. Not much is known about this zoids or why it was not officially announced for retail. It was never sold by HASBRO but it made it's way into UK market and soon in America through many appearances on ebay. It has been label under RARE category though it still can be found on ebay. One very unique feature about power mantis is it utilizes rubber band mechanics and there are only 2 variants that only uses the rubber ban. The other the Power Mammoth.

Quite a different build as mantis have this sprues of removable pegs which allows joints to bend and move.


It only uses 2 caps.





Mantis attack swift mode as it mangled its prey with lightning fast grab technique
The hind legs extends as you apply pressure for the mantis to attack.

it seems like a fairly easy build mantis though..

the thought is that.. if only 1 or 2 were found instead of abundance of them in the UK.. these buggers price will go sky high.

and.. it seems like a zoids, but somehow it doesn seem like one... *confused*

@DeinanCF: Congratulations on the Soul Tiger. Not as glowy as Rayse Tiger, maybe but the backpack makes a beautiful kutu/tick with light-up legs!
I'll have to get Buyus to post a picture of the LED kutu later.
Sorry, cannot help with the pictures. I only have camera phone. Good luck in the project though.

@Edmaestro: That built power mantis probably has its design history in another old, vintage Zoid. Pen-holder, anyone?

Ed, the power mantis is cool, nice gimmick with the rubber band mechanism. Are there any release for this kit by Tomy.
