it is say it not use any developer UIID but once you install it you cant install the public release this 17 june, because your iphone will tend to lock with dev account base on your serial number. i myself not quiet sure bout this but the OS you mention is the master/gold/final BETA series of OS3.
my advice is that better dont need to restore it because afraid of locked into installing official public release of OS3.
OMG, This want me to but it and use it because i dont have any digital camera so i prefer camera on my iphone, can take a picture, send via facebook, email etc...
urmmm.... i cant take it anymore, i want to get 1 of this I3GS.

There's an iPhone OS v3.0 gold edition meant for the developers released on the day of WWDC 2009. That version is meant for developers and the commercial version is not expected until 17 June 2009 (as announced). According to Apple, upgrading to this developer version may lock you out of the commercial release on 17. Not sure what kind of implications Apple meant. We do know that upgrading to v3.0 beta or official cannot be downgraded though.
I guess this gold edition is lurking around the internet. Better wait for 17.

to clear misunderstanding, in software release life cycle
Gold also means Production or Live release of the final version of the product. It's not Beta.
"The production, live version is the final version of a particular product. It is typically almost identical to the final release candidate, with only last-minute bugs fixed. A live release is considered to be very stable and relatively bug-free with a quality suitable for wide distribution and use by end users. In commercial software releases, this version may also be signed (used to allow end-users to verify that code has not been modified since the release). The expression that a software product "has gone live" means that the code has been completed and is ready for distribution. Other terms for the live version include: live master, live release, or live build. In some areas of software development the live release is referred to as a
gold release; this seems to be confined mainly to game software."

wikiand Apple never never mentioned that it will lock u out from the future commercial release but instead you
cant restore to the earlier released of iPhone OS.
