I don't have any problem tethering on both vista (my laptop) and xp (office pc). no setting required. just turn on the tethering and windows will take care of the rest.

btw..i'm on singtel network.

Anyone having difficulties downloading OS 3.0 from the Malaysian i-tunes store?
It's on the front page but clicking it just errors that it's not available in this region's store.

That is correct, saya wilayah Celcom. I dont think Vista would inadvertantly change the setting in your iPhone to mess with your previous OS X setting you've done. The iPhone has been pretty much a closed-platform all this while.

No joy on the Bluetooth keyboard. Not on the Mini, not on the diNovo Edge, not even on Apple's own Wireless keyboard.

ah okay, but i'm using touch not iphone, so must go through the store cause have to pay right?

I still don't quite understand why touch owners are being made to pay when everyone else gets it free...

bro, my laptop ( XP ) not even detect when i on the internet tethering. i'm on maxis 4.0. But one thing that make me happy is i managed to browser iTunes now thru my iphone.

Any suggestion on maxis internet tethering?

ya i think so, because my bar around here around 2 to 3 bar only, and today around 3 pm i at town with full bar also got same problem, i stay in kampar perak btw, maybe kampar here got line problem hehe.

i tot maxis by default already supported internet tethering (and mms, of course) since it's an official carrier, and thus shd not required any additional setting.

i'm not too sure about maxis, but in my case where by all the setting of mms (singtel) etc already preset once upgraded to OS 3.0. everything works as it should.

I wonder why those people with iPhone 2G (jailbreaked & unlocked) could get to update to 3.0 without using Dev Team's upcoming tools on Friday.

but u will lost ur cydia.. coz still waiting dev team to coming up their stuff...

manage to update my jailbroken phone. still have to wait for new jailbroken tools if want to use cydia or other third-party app.

if you have official unlock iphone then you can update directly without any problem even tho your iphone is jailbroken or not, but you will lost all cydia app because its not an apple store app and you/all of use need wait for the jailbreak tools in order to use all cydia app again.- and im still waiting for the jailbreak tools to do it on my iphone..

when i plug in the usb cable

how come cannot explore the photos taken by the phone
and cannot detect the camera folder from PC

Internet tethering works with my MBP but I still haven't been able to get it to work with the damn Vista ! *sigh*

I even tried creating an ah-hoc connection but still tadak apa-apa

If I update now and when I use Dev Team's tools,
Can I still restore from backup?
I tried on 2.X before and my backup corrupted.

And I don't wanna replay all my games again.

hmm...the internet tethering is working when i connect to my desktop but not to my laptop. I sent this message thru tethering using my desktop. Is it the problem of USB port? Is it because all USB being occupied by another hardware?
