hmm, i guess he would want at least a 15" instead... i still remember my mum complains that the fonts on my 14" monitor is too small... laugh.gif

so yeah, likes of Dell Studio XPS 16, BenQ S57 and Acer 5935... can't run away from these... but u definetely dun get a thin laptop here if u want performance...

hello fren. i think Asus K40AB is ok.
however, i still think that i need ur advice/opinion on whether to choose Asus K40AB or Presario CQ40-401AX (Turion X2 RM-74, ATI HD3450). which one do you think that i should buy?

ive gone through presario CQ40 thread and it seems that CQ40 also has overheating issue (correct me if im wrong).

sorry..its just think that i have to be more cautious in buying a new laptop this time..

still Asus K40Ab for me... for AMD CPU, the difference in cache between Athlon and Turion has little effect on performance... it's all abt speed when comes to AMD...

the advantage on Turion is that it has 1 more P-state than Athlon, thus it can saves more power...

but if u re one who likes to play games, u definetely will appreciate wat HD4570 can offer...

naa.. though i like to play games, but my main priority is that the laptop does not have troubling issues where i need to spend more money for the sake of repairing it (not the type of laptop that can get mobo failure just after 4 months of purchasing). i hope to find a laptop that is stable and equipped with Nvidia or ATI gc with the price range around rm1500-2000...

There's no guarantee in this world, you could get a Sony or Mac and they can phailed you in 1 weeks. I can just say Asus have very good build quality for their mobo and graphic card and I expect the same for their lappie.

2yrs int'l warranty by Asus still not good enuf???

and besides, if u want a laptop with dedicated graphic card for rm2000, ur choices are pretty limited...

Asus K40Ab, Compaq CQ40, Acer 4736...
