People always talk about less features on the iPhone, it's not like they really use all the features much.

QUOTE(nonickname @ Mar 11 2009, 03:56 PM) If they are selling those units with contract, it should be more cheaper to attract ppl but.... phew! The phones ARE cheaper. It is the contract plans and the monthly commitment fees that are the killer. If you have been keeping up with Apple's tieup with all other telcos, it has been the same throughout. maxis .. maxis A lot of people dont realize this. All they see is "iPhone 3G for USD199" and immediately call it cheap. But to get the iPhone for USD199 , you need to sign up with AT&T and pay USD129.99 a month. Convert that to RM and see if you can call that cheap! |

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Mar 11 2009, 03:55 PM) Reading through the internal email I'm receiving from my contact, here are a few important tidbits. I cannot divulge the entire email, as it contain sensitive material on how Maxis handles the iPhone internally, so I'll need to self-censor and post what CAN be posted. Nice info you have there. The rest of the email content, I cannot divulge. Any other details are either of sensitive nature, or not pertaining general public release (internal staff rates, plan packages, etc.) Well, am very curious, how big a difference is between their staff rate and consumer rate? 1. Not much difference 2. Some differences, but it is only a few carls jr visit 3. Holy-mama!!! |
