I have encountered the same problem with the latest official ROM. but there is no known solution to this other than keeps on aligned it until it won't repeat again. another things to note ensure that your phone in a flat surface otherwise the recurrence of problem will haunt you back.

FYI, now on flat surface, one alignment will be enough for my phone. it will not repeat again

Added on July 6, 2009, 10:19 amIt depends on the type of video/audio bitrate you are using and the codec issue as well.. I'm not an expert on this but being an avid movie-goers on the phone, i knnow some type do not work well on the default Touch player of omnia. even omnia boast with having divx/xvid, the issue is not the file type, but the settings in the video/audio file.sometimes you can't play what supposed to be played on PC only.

perhaps you should use third-party video player like coreplayer.it usually handles a lot of media file quite well

I also received the same mail before. The coding is means where the phone born(manufacture country). i think no issue on quality as same hardware implemented.

tried my korean mate omnia HD.. great resolution with 3D effect, a bit responsive than normal omnia.. but " a bit " la.... symbian OS still unmatch for mac OS..

but,

i'll stick with my normal never-updated omnia... hehehe

afterall HD utilised the capacitive screen..better responsiveness than current omnia is understandable

HELP!!! My Omnia switches off on its own. This has happened a couple of times. I depend on my Omnia for alarm to wake up, there was once, it turned off on its own overnight, I woke up late for work! I thought it was on standby, when I pressed the front buttons a couple of times, it refuses to turn on, I had to remove my battery and replace then only able to turn it back on. Another time was when I had replied an sms, I pressed the power button to standby the phone, but after a while, I pressed the front buttons to "wake it up", I was unable to do so. I had to remove the battery again, and replace then only restart the phone. According to my friend, he replied my sms, but after I turned my phone back on, I did not receive the sms. This scenario has happened 3 times already.... Please help.. What's wrong with my Omnia? It's only 4 months old...

Did you pressed the power button for too long and accidently switched it off?
Which firmware are you on?
What other softwares have you installed in your device?
Why do you need to take out the battery before starting your device? Power button not responding?

Did anyone know that why the Garmin Mobile XT installed on my omnia keeps on searching for satellites and the satellite sgnal bar remains empty??

1st time usually takes longer time. try update XTRA and tell us your setting,then only we can help u..

i updated XTRA but the situation doesn't get better.

Program: COM3
Hardware: COM9
Baud rate: 4800

I have been using Omnia for like 3 months, this phone serves me well during the day and make me cry during morning... I like everything that i can do wth this phone, and i dont regret getting this phone.

Why i say it makes me cry during the morning? I same like some of u guys who rely ONLY on phone to be my alarm clock... This phone either sleeps with me(doesnt wake up) until i wake up unlock the screen only the alarm rings... i am not using G-alarm.

can anyone recomend any nice 3rd party Alarm software?

The default ones i cant put really long tones into it and it supports only WAV files, as i tried to Extend my WAV files by using audacity, i cant use the file if the file is too big as in more than 10mb.

Any advice?

U must try outdoor only satellite can be detected.

I used the default 1 never fail me. Some time feel very avoid and think to throw my omnia cos it keep snoozing after 1 min(Set myself)

As the file size,u can try to convert to mp3 format to optimize the size.

ya me too..i juz use standard alarm & nothin wrong with it..
i set to working days so no need to set everyday..

my alarm works fine~ using the one provided in omnia...never fails to wake me up

but MP3 files cant be reconize as alarm tone...

eh who said like dat? juz put mp3 file in root folder then u can use..

hey, i wonder does anyone else have the same problem as my omnia.

Whenever I use landscape screen, wherever I touch, it seems that only the top of the screen is functioning. I mean, I can seem to navigate around. Each time I touch the screen, only the start menu pop up.

Guise, my omnia is syncing with the pc to another email. Its not mine,because I've checked many times its not my email. How do I change the email thats embedded in the phone? I've deleted the account in my outlook express inside the phone yet I still get those emails.
