I wonder how much do I have to pay to replace the screen?
If I .."accidentally" ruin the screen, how would they know if it is accidental or on purpose? |

^ Why do people like to say "heard" this "heard" that?
FYI in my experience with the omnia, I've never gotten a hang before, bear in mind my set was a 2nd hand set. A 16gig white. Do check the thing out before you state something. BTW guys, my omnia is giving me good feedback, even tho my set was used since..oct last year. |

I have yet to configure anything on my pc's outlook, and on my phone, I have entered an email address on Owner's Information. Is that the address? Because every time my phone syncs with the pc, it downloads emails yet I duno which email it is from LOL.

Guise, my omnia is syncing with the pc to another email. Its not mine, because I've checked many times its not my email. How do I change the email thats embedded in the phone? I've deleted the account in my outlook express inside the phone yet I still get those emails.

Guys, I thought that using my nail was normal, till I looked at some youtube vids and saw that you could use your thumb for this phone.
Got mine as a 2nd hand set, go figure. Anyone knows where can I change the screen and will I be able to use my thumb with the screen change? |

QUOTE(Omnian @ Aug 1 2009, 12:20 PM) Old screen, new screen, 2nd hand set screen, all can be operate by finger. I use fingernail only if the icon is too small. Why do you want to change your screen? Damage? It's not cheap, you know. The thing is, I cant use my thumb and I have to apply a certain amount of pressure to enter menus, etc. Even for normal sms typing I'd have to use my fingernails. If not I'd have to press on the screen, rather than simply touching it. Isn't that what the "touchscreen" suppose to do? I'm not expecting iphone taps, but rather soft pressure, which mine has to exert quite abit of pressure. Or back to my fingernails. |

QUOTE(Omnian @ Aug 17 2009, 06:13 PM) I went to Samsung Service Center today, to check out the Omnia II. They quoted me S$898. While inside the service center, since there are not much people, I asked the Tech whether I can change my Omnia i900 screen. After checking his PC, he found that my i900's garantee had expired in July, but still asked me what's wrong with my screen. I told him there's nothing wrong, no scratch, no damage, just heard others said that the new screens are better, so I just ask for fun, since I got nothing to do here. He took over my i900 and poke the screen a few times, then tell me okay, he'll change it for FREE. ADDED: Forgot to mention, he didn't even ask about the Custom WM6.5 Firmware. So after one hour, I had a new screen and an Omnia II from another shop which sell to me at S$838. Truely, the new screen is slightly more responsive. |

It's okay. But now I see my screen really needs a change, and from what you've experienced and through others in which I've read, they've all got a free screen change.
I was thinking of changing the screen for my omnia, and then trade it in for an omnia II. The 3.7" screen is really inviting |

Hey hey, don't condemn MY too fast,
I recently went to Samsung's Service Centre in Malim(Melaka), said about my screen being unresponsive, and in an hour they have mine changed free of charge! So happy with the new screen, even my friend who has an ipod touch says that the screen is up to par, albeit not exactly, but she says its a huge difference |

^If you can, try to search for eyephoto. Works even better, no crashes in landscape mode.

Hey Omnian? Hear any news of the omnia getting the win 6.5, officially?
I know there's a cooked rom and all.. but somehow an official release will give me a piece of mind. Scary hearing people having their pda's being an expensive paper weight :S |
