All sifu pls help me.Since from 1st day i took the phone until today,i feel that my iphone battery life really short.I very less make call, wifi on9 or even play game.my iphone battery life only can stand by only one day.
I found that in setting->usage in this section can show us the daily battery usage,am i right?i very less use my iphone but here show me usage 2hour 56min and standby 10hour 17min.about this i really wan to ask u guys, y in usage hv took 2hour plus?Is there any program and software hire running?Do i need to reset all setting?cos i really dislike charge phone everyday.I found that iphone can stand by 300 hour for 3g version le.
Besides this, my iphone firmware only 2.1(5F136) is come from NZ.Can i possible update firmware anytime?can any sifu pls help me about this!

hy guys, i just bought iPhone 3G last week...

i'm having problem with my ''contact'' rite now, i must add " +6 " to every each number, if not, when i rec. call/sms/mms, my iPhone wouldn't display the sender name...

thank you dude,act. i hv been read all this forum.I also in setting there turn off unuse program.
just wan to find out with you guys, do i must update latest firmware?cos my iphone is software unlock unit.
i worry later myself updated the firmware cannot turn it on my phone later

errr....if urs is a official NZ unit, there is no need to use software unlock aka yellowsnow.
And it is official NZ unit, u can update it straight from iTunes at anytime

I charge my iPhone everyday as well, and i make less than 2 calls/day and less than 10sms/day. But I do use internet for maybe about an hour a day via 3G. ur battery seems normal

no. JB as the name suggests, is to "free" your device so that you can introduce foreign and unrecognised elements into it. cydia is obviously a foreign element as it is unsanctioned by apple and therefore voids your warranty

But when a warranty claim becomes necessary, just restore unit before sending in for it. No issue.

are you so sure? do you know that if apple decides to be a "anjing betina", they can actually trace back whether a unit has been jailbroken before.

okay let's forget about that technical bit. now consider this, what if your unit is broken and cannot be restored (obviously one of the main reasons when one decides to claim the warranty)? then what happens?
