I've been scouring all the threads in the Hobby section, and i don't see anyone talking about them at all.
 Anyone out there collect any G.I. Joe action figures yet?  Especially the 25th anniversary 3.75-inch action figures? I started my collection since last November/December and have been collecting them until now. So far that i've counted, i have about 60 figures here, gonna need to hit the 100 marker  Sorry for the blurry pictures! here in auckland, NZ got quite of numbers of ppl selling their old gi joes, you can try look at www.trademe.co.nz under action figures. if you need anything just let me know maybe i can help you out but again must always remember shipping cost isnt cheap too.

I feel sad that KL doesn't bring in GI Joe figures much, but last year TRU seemed to be picking up the 25th Anniversary figures.
Let's hope the movie in August will help opens the flood gate. |

I really like the new design of Resolute CC, it looks very regal and civil-ish uniform. I only wish that they churn out the G.I. Well it will be good for us outside US, I hope the movie will open flood gate for the toys. i have 412 25th and modern era GI Joe figures plus about 10 vehicles.not into the vehicles that muc coz they consume space. previously i have a dedicated Joe thread at play.com.my but the site had since shut down. here are some shots of my Cobra troopers,taken few months ago and was posted on play.com.my.           |

info update.
-as of now,only Wave 13 had been released,plus the new 5 packs of GI Joe, Cobra and Resolute. -Cobra Island 7 packs had been shelved to possibly end of this year. -movie figures should hit our local toy shops end of this month or first week of July. -vehicles wave 5 should be in store next month. -Wave 14 and 15 had been delayed till further notice. -Comuc packs stopped at Wave 8 (Destro/Shockblast and S.Shadow/Tunnel Rat) |

i have 5 black BATS from resolute 5 packs that wasn't shown in the pic.
the red Viper is from vehicle wave 3 Claw/Fang. Hasblow is concentrating on the movie line all the way to next year.. possbly we might get wave 14 ,again next year.same goes for Viper 5 pack. and there will be numerous repaints of 25th and modern era ,repackaged in movie line also coming soon. yeah the Para Vipers are awesome..am thinking of repainting some of them coz the yellow and orange just doesnt bring out the badass in them. i got my Bats and Para vipers in cases, not sold separately..that's the only way to ensure i get them..hence for wave 10,i bought 6 cases which equals 6 Para vipers..and 2 cases of wave 11 for the remaining 2. troopers rule,dont u think?back in 2007,i was more of Imp Stormtrooper freak...got over 20 of the 30th anni coin series Stormies..would have gotten more if not for the fact that there arent any left for sale. Too bad it's not the original Night Raven toy from the 80s, that is so awesome if they did There's also the Ice Vipers i'm aiming for, look very cool, the dull blue ish Night Creepers and Flash (i think, and i think it should in the movie line too) in Cobra Lamprey's suit. Yeah, man, i love cobra troopers but they're not selling enough in KL yet. Instead, i got like 6 Vipers and 2 Artic Vipers. i only look forward to NIght Creepers and Alley Vipers..hoping to get the Shockblast/Night Creeper 2 pack.
you started ur collection late,that's why u couldn't get them.. i only buy from ebay those figs from the earlier waves.. and i spent in total over rm300 just for shipping charges..plus i had to pay almost twice ,some even more, per figure for those from wave1-5. all the movie MARS troopers,vipers,etc look like shit to me. a real letdown to an old fan. i definitely pass on them...will get the others tho,mainly for customs purpose. here's my Joes and Cobra operatives in group shots..i didnt add in alternate versions or repaints or extras (i have plenty of extra figs due to case purchases) for the Joes but for Cobra i added IG Destro and wave 8 Baroness (instead of the new Cobra 5 pack).if i were to add all versions of the Joes and Cobra,it's gonna equal 3-4 times the amount that i had shot.
Only missing Lift Ticket which i didnt buy, Quick Kick,Alpine and Dusty (from the DVD Packs which dint make its way to Malaysia) and first Cobra 5 pack Baroness. G.I JOE =====    COBRA =====    |

in Canada,the movie toys is already on sale at retail..
there have been numerous release dates according to HIsstank,from July 1st thru July 10th. i already have 3 black HISS tanks from wave 1 ,so wil pass on the Arctic version. to Fatimus, there is no bubblegum/headset for the Vehicle version of Breaker.check out one of the grey tanks on the side of the bike..there's an extra pistol inside. to Sadistic, i have 6 Croc Master.have thrown away 4 of his crocs..no point having that many. |

just got news from local toy shop,loads of ROC stuff schedule to arrive by mid july..
Wave 1 and 2 figs, MARS 3 pack troopers loads of vehicle PIT 12" figs combat heroes and much more.... the turn off point for me is the pricing,each regular fig will cost between rm37-40 . PIT cost around rm550 and ultimate DUke over rm300. |

PIT is a pass for me, as I roughly estimated around rm400(before the confirmed price), just blown my set budget of RM500. Night Raven and Steel Crusher APV are my primary targets.

I am still on the fence for Baroness, I am sorry but the figure looks like Chyna from WWE.
However movie Destro looks cool in the movie military uniform, and I dare say on par with resolute version (though IMO, I wish resolute version to be as buff as the cartoon). |

Fatimus: Yeah, i did checked out in Grafitti yesterday too, and even just to make sure, TRU Mid Valley on Friday, but nothing!
I checked Time Machine, they still haven't update anything yet, and have the LAST comic pack piece of Shipwreck + Copperhead, and Destro + Cpl Breaker, just a heads up to those who wants to get it. if u check TRU website,its stated that ROC toys are coming mid July,and my local shop also emailes me saying they should be here in the next few days.
bro Helldiver,yeah movie based toys are always costly.anyway,wave 14 onwards should be released around year end or 1st qtr '10.now its gonna be just ROC and more ROC..i m thinking of getting one cobra gunship just for Firefly with removable helmet. |

Hey all! The Movie line has just been released! I found them in Mid Valley's TRU and i got myself...
1 storm shadow 1 desert ambush duke 1 ship wreck (devil due's design) 3 M.A.R.S. units (1 officer, 2 troopers) Tomorrow, i'm gonna get the Steel Crusher (despite that i dont like the Nitro Viper, it looks bad) Has a lot of other joe toys too, including the hall of heroes (but i'm still contemplating whether if i should get the BATs, the plastic quality isn't all that great) Try checking out other TRU's branches in all over Malaysia EDIT: I almost forgot! There's NO MORE movie storm shadow, me and my friend just bought the last 3 storm shadows (he bought two of them). Destro Steel Crusher Rockslide ATAV Night Raven Cobra Gunship No sign of Ice Dagger yet, and anyone who wants Destro, there's 2 or 3 more in TRU KLCC. now here's my purchases for today...i broke my record of single day spending on toys.
will head to the second TRU branch on Saturday,still have 16 Desert Duke to buy to complete my purchase ,for now. from my observation,TRU in my area brought in 6 cases of figs (12 fig per case) at 3 case each for wave 1 and wave 2. note ------ Snake-Eyes visor can actually move up ,tho' it was glued on..but i managed to get it up. Duke's NVG is movable,to my surprise.my only gripe is the hole on his right leg is supposed to store his gun but somehow the cheap design on the gun comes without the peg.        |

yeah i am troop building Duke..he looks like current US troops..but the biggie has got to be PIT commando..that one is the real troop builder. i havent open my gunship...BATS and Vipers from Hall of Heroes completely gone when i went there.. i will wait for the Cobra Island 7 pack for the BATS,maybe the second outlet may have them..but priority is on Duke.. |

Hi all!
I finally finished putting the stickers onto the steel crusher. Lets start the figure first. NITRO VIPER So i pulled the figure out first from the box and boy, was i really dissapointed. I'm not gonna bother showing you the figure, it seriously sucked. The only 2 things that's new is the head and the vest (i hope i'm wrong), the rest are recycled parts from Viper, AVAC and some others i haven't bothered to remember. The helm glass is really cheap in design and the head is easily poppable.  The colors is dull, is mostly dark blue with nothing to make it interesting. I tried looking if this piece of crap has any weapons or foot stand. Guess what? Neither. Poor crap has no sidearm or even a combat knife (not like AVAC or Copperhead's, least you get a combat knife) but this stupid viper doesn't even come with a foot stand, what the hell?  Artwork from the bottom of the box is lame, like the artist didn't take any effort to make it look...presentable. I guess i don't blame the artist, since the figure alone looks like a cheap crap. Overall, if there's a rating, i'm gonna give: * out of ***** Next, the highlight of the show... STEEL CRUSHER Wow, they actually put a lot of details on this vehicle. I like the color scheme, black and some parts are grey and silver, its simple. The tires are rubber, which i'm surprisingly glad its not pure plastic And you can remove the tires off the rim too, of course i didn't try it, fraid that i can't put it back in, lol. I was expecting too much of it, because i was hoping that the front tires can actually swerve and turn, but too bad it can't  Sorry for the lousy image quality, i took them with my handphone (my camera's battery is dead) The headlights is transparent-ish, makes it a nice little thing there, least its not pure yellow Bottom of the hummer is surprisingly detailed with gas tanks, axles, and all that thingies you find under a real car. Both doors from the left and right can be opened (sad to say, the back doors aren't). A removable plower, which is a good thing to turn this as a normal vehicle.  However, the bad news is, its kinda pain in the ass to fit the figure through the door, so i just pop him into the driver seat from the top opened roof. From the inside, it has a lot of nice touch of details. Too bad for a few things: it has a steering wheel (which you can't turn), a hand brake (which you can't pull). But your crappy Nitro Viper can actually fit his hands onto the steering wheel and the hand brake, nice Here's a not so clear view of my crappy picture that they went as far as putting the vehicle's gas tank, i like that kinda detail in this.  Both side of the hummer's backdoors can pop out the small missiles (where you can remove them out as well). From the top of the roof, you can slide the back of the roof to the front and the back of the hummer's secret hidden missile launcher, pops out with spring loaded action  Too bad the turret's a bit loose. You can store your 3 missiles in the vehicle. Aside from that, once you slide the roof, you pop the windshield protector down, and voila, Steel Crusher is ready for combat Overall, Steel Crusher is worth the money (despite that you're getting a crappy figure, with no weapon and no foot stand) with the close details of workmanship. I will say the nitro viper is like a real life lego character, due to the hilariously big helm glass.
Here's my brief review on the Rockslide ATAV with Snow Job I can't comment such about the vehicle but it is overall a sturdy little one, the tank track can be adjusted up and down and the front skis can be steer left and right but with limitation. Overall it is fun to fiddle with if you have wild imagination.    As for the figure, it is....surprisingly good. He is one sturdy little *******, and his goggle and sweater head can be removed. Funny thing is, the figure reminds me alot of The Thing poster. Oh yeah he comes with the nifty revolver on his right leg   The figure can be fit perfectly well into the ATAV, which is a good thing. Depends on personal preferance, I kinda like the idea that figure with vehicle doesn't come with the trademark stand. I give it 7 out of 10 |

You almost tempt me on getting Snow Job and that Rockslide but i would rather get the original 25th Snow Job (he has skis and i'm a sucker for those lol). You should do a review on your Night Raven! I saw the Stratos Viper figure in the Night Raven, and it seemed that the paint job aren't doing so well, i could be wrong. And someone should do a review on the Cobra Gunship, i'm thinking of getting it but it looked kinda weak with its lack of weaponry, its suppose to be a gunship And what turned me off is that, another Firefly figure, i like the helm and accessories, just not liking having another repaint of Firefly |

i opened my Gunship last nite and i gotta say,its pretty impressive.
am thinking of getting a second one. COBRA GUNSHIP REVIEW ================ -the machine gun below the cockpit rotates 360 degrees. -topside hatch slides open to store 3 bombs.behind the hatch is a button,upon pressing releases bottom hatch to drop the bombs. -left and right side panels open to reveal engines. -3 working landing gear (2 in front and 1 in rear),push them up when the craft is in the air. -cockpit opens from left side and there are a bunch of controls and radar plus two controllers on each side of arm rest that can be gripped by Firefly. -side door opens and you can store 2 figures inside..there are no pegs for the figures' back hence they tend to move about..however pushing the figure's leg more towards the front solves this. -you can also place a figure on the bottom of the opened door...see Baroness in the last pic. well,initialy i thought of buying maskless SS but then i thought it's the same version sans the skirt .
besides, the gun that comes with skirt-Tommy just wont fit inside the holster. the dress just gets in the way of posing..logically,ninjas need space for movement and speed..the skirt just dont make sense to me. and he looks much cooler this way. Perhaps I expect too much from Cobra Gunship, hasbro seem lazy to paint the engine
.Oh do anyone think that the gunship look similiar to some aircrafts in C&C Tiberium series, I just got that feeling by looking at the tail fin. I feel sad for Firefly's lack of accessories, and there's an empty gun holder (or whatever it is) on his lower right leg. But since i have another Firefly (ARAH single card version), it will go along fine. I will be waiting for the RoC paratrooper to go along with the gunship, it might be sweet. Beside I think this has the resolute paint scheme, if anyone still remember at the early part. Anyway moving on to Night Raven   It has 3 buttons at the end of the jet, I start from the back till front : 1st button : Take off sound effect 2nd button : Pilot's random dialogue (I can't hear it clearly), 3 lines 3rd button : Sound effect for targeting The trigger below also can be activated after you press it to shoot. If you look at the Night Raven wholely, it function like a shotgun, cock the head back to turn the revolver at both side and squeeze the trigger. I don't have much comment on Air Viper, it looks cool to me, just that the handgun is molded along with the vest. |

Air Viper is actually a repaint of Strato Viper..very cheap of Hasblow not to include weapon for most of the vehicle drivers and pilots.
The Viper in the mole driller is a repaint of Croc Master. NIght Raven is kinda cool,the way you place Strato in the seat and push it up and he'll be in the cockpit.the original Raven can seat 2 figs but i believe this one only has storage for 1 pilot. also,there's machine gun effects(sound and lights) from the side gatlings..really cool. i would hv grabbed it if not for lack of storage space. |

Yeah it only allow one pilot, the Air Viper just practically lie down inside the cockpit. I just bought the last Hall of Heroes' Beachhead. Was wanting to get the movie snake eyes, ever since i removed Stormy's skirt, but Mid Valley's TRU ran out of movie snake eyes and no more Hall of Heroes' Firefly.

stock of PIT in Pg is not moving..went to second TRU outlet few hours ago..hoping to get Desert Duke..to my dismay,not even 1 left.ask the store assistant and he told me yesterday ,2 guys came and bought a huge bunch of figures..there goes my Duke.. also missing are Destro ,HOH Firefly,BATS and Snake w/Timber..others are aplenty. bought 1 more Ripcord..the helmet is pretty cool..hence am thinking of getting 2 more for customs..make it a squad of 5. i have no luck in findin BATS,not that I need them ,seeing I have 10 regular BATS and 5 Resolute... heh,but tangan gatal and feel tempted to buy. anyway,was about to leave the store but decided to check on Wolverine origins and Marvel Universe..got all wave 4 Marvel figures that i have been searching for over 1 1/2 months ,not needing Red Hulk which was reserved for another customer by the store assistant. so no Duke but got Marvel..yayy. went home and called KL shop, good thing there's 8 Desert Duke available. sapu all plus 2 more Eel with Wave Crusher. the Eel was purchased from one of Penang toy shop..all 4 types are there but i only wanted Eel.cost me RM75. this repaint of Eel looks pretty impressive compared to Wave 11's. the price tag is rather a turn off tho.      |

Finally, i replaced my camera's dead battery and now i can post some decent pictures!
First up! RoC's NITRO VIPER (aka MOTOR VIPER) From what i learnt, they reused the Viper's thigh and the HISS Driver's arms and torso, but the head, lower legs and the vest is all new. When i compared the Nitro Viper to the Motor Viper, they are very similar, except for the paint job (Motor Viper's paint has sky blue on his hands and legs, and a silver plate face). It seems okay after a while i have this guy, but seriously, the figure doesn't appeal to me that much. I have to use my extra foot stand for him, as you would have noticed. No weapons whatsoever. RATING: * out of *****  HoH's BEACHHEAD I really loved Beachhead's head sculpt, and all his accessories. According to his field card, his military specialty isn't just as a ranger, but a Small Arms Armorer. The man has a lot of accessories and details. His vest shows that he packs up several ammo clips stocked from his vest, alongside with his extra side pack (one of the clip is removable from the side pack), 2 assault rifles, a berretta pistol (which is too big to fit into his gun holster), a crossbow (which nicely fit on his backpack) and a backpack. My only dissapointment is that his posability is hindered by his hips and legs so you can't bend his legs all the way to sit (same with all the variations of Fireflies out there) and his unremovable combat knife. Beachhead's paintjob is excellent, a lot of variations of color that fits well for a jungle camo. Dark green, muddy green, brown, black, a bit of grey and red for his rope climbing gear. RATING: **** out of *****  RoC's SHIPWRECK When i first saw this figure being shown in Hisstank forum, i seriously needed to get him. The Devil Due's version of Shipwreck's head is what i really love. Not the YMCA sailor man Shipwreck back in the 80s. The man comes with a surprising number of accessories. A Steyr like assault rifle (which looks kinda weird with very long scope), a handgun, a curved combat knife, 2 webbed flippers, an oxygen tank backpack (hollow from the bottom, which i hated), scuba goggles and polly, his parrot. Polly can only be perched onto the backpack's peg, not like the original figure where Polly can perch on his shoulder. So now Shipwreck can go all commando style in underwater, or remove his scuba gear for land assault. Figure's posability is surprisingly very well, i can pose him in any way fashion with no problems, whatsoever. RATING: **** out of *****  RoC's M.A.R.S. OFFICER I seriously like my bad guy grunts. And this guy really blows me away and that i really had to get him. Despite that his arms and legs are reused from the Neo Viper, it doesn't matter anyway. His accessories is decent enough, a strap to hold his handgun (handle's too big though, then again, the gun's too big too), a combat knife similar to Shipwreck's, a MP5 submachine gun (or some variant version of it with the elongated arm stock), removable helm. What i don't like about this figure is that, removing his helm, and underneath it, he wears a sort of a ski mask, that shows his eyes. He looks like he's bored. But i love the figure's posability and the color scheme seems to be alright to fit. At least he's not as bad as Resolute's Crimson Trooper Officer (only difference between the Trooper and the Officer is the Officer's helm with the reverse arrow plat). The MARS Officer has his own difference (despite the uniform's the same). Colors is alright, not as dull as the Nitro Viper. His foot stand is different than the rest of the RoC's foot stands. I noticed that there's 4 variations of foot stands (Duke's has a dog tag with his name and rank, the lego like foot stand as shown in Neo Viper's and Shipwreck, the 25th annivesary's footstand and the MARS boring footstand). The MARS set don't label the figures' names, plus that the pegs is a bit too far back, so the feet is hindered by the "step", so i'm a bit dissapointed. RATING: *** out of *****  RoC's M.A.R.S. TROOPER Now, the trooper is another story. He's the same thing, except with a different strap that holds his red grenades and 1 weapon. His assault rifle (i seriously doubt it is), is too damn big! Its so big, that the handle for the weapon can't fit his hands (it can, but you probably do more damage that way), so i had to replace it with my extra assault rifle from Resolute Duke's. I like the figure, i just hated the weapon that came along with it. Color scheme is nicely done, there's red, black and dark grey colors. Removing his helm is the same boring eyes look. Overall, he's okay, just not worth the value with the lack of accessories and a weapon that can't fit properly. RATING: ** out of *****  RoC's NEO VIPER At first, i hated his armor vest. But after a while, it grown onto me. Arms and legs is the same molds as the MARS figures. So posability is great. But the vest sort of blocks a bit to the arms. He comes along with 2 pulse rifles (i can't seem to fit his smaller pulse rifle to his hands, so i used the big one instead), a small pulse gun and a backpack with 2 pegs to hold the 2 pulse rifles. He looks very similar to the movie version, albeit just a bit weathered down colored. A bad point is that, underneath the backpack is hollowed. I see a trend going on with hollowed backpacks because Desert Ambush Duke's backpack is ALSO the same, as well as Shipwreck's. I also noticed that they don't bothered to paint it black underneath as well. So you get black on the top, and grey from under. Despite with the armor vest, he can still turn his head, not much though (the armor still hinders the neck). He also can't seem to hold the second handle as shown in the image below, a bad point. Overall, he's an okay figure to me, so i don't know whether if i wanna get more of this guys to make a squad. no offense to u Reaper but to me,those movie troopers are a bunch of lame ass shit.compare them to modern era.pitifully and horribly sux,and both TRUs in PG still have a lot of them on the pegs.

MARS troopers seem like a recolour of the normal Cobra troopers and officer, just that the extension of their helmets to cover their face, I assume they used the recently release Resolute pack cobra troops ?
Next new wave haven't arrive yet, but US peeps already enjoy some of the later line now, i am actually looking forward to off movie figures. |

Checking out TRU KLCC today, Night Raven still has 3 boxes, one more Steel Crusher and 2 more Cobra Gunships.

CG is plain horrible for the helmet and backpack.. coz its too RED...if u can find the Comic Pack CG w/removable helmet and Cobra Officer from wave 3,fast fast grab it..i got about 10 of those,simply bcoz of removable helmet CG.at least u get accurate colors to go with the uniform.plus an additional Cobra Officer and a comic book for only rm 39 or rm32..depending on ur luck...
i bought them last year so i'm not sure if u can still get it. |

I thought PP SE with Grey Timber might worth more but not the one with black Timber? The 25th version from wave 1 with Black Timber is worth more than the one with Grey Timber.

after getting bro wast8's reply ,i headed to Tesco .there was no sign of Desert Ambush Duke or DS Scarlett ..other than the basic figures ,there's nothing else...no vehicles.
Duke's knife can be slotted on the sheath on his right lower leg. i added Ripcord's helmet on Duke and swap SS wave 1 ROC's masked head onto unmasked Tommy's body and it looked great..been waiting to do this ever since saw pic of unmasked Tommy weeks ago.the gun fits perfectly into the holster this time.also ,Tommy's sheaths is no longer glued on his back..i broke the peg of one of my wave 1 ROC SS's backpack coz the glued was too tight. CC's gun also fits onto his back,just like the 25th versions.there's a nice silver Cobra emblem on the left side of his jacket and there's one hole on each side of his hip..the Snake is a welcome addition to this great figure. Snake-Eyes's visor cannot be taken out due to being glued on ,just like wave 1 ROC SE. the mouthless face looks pretty awesome this time...i hate the mouth sculpted onto him in wave 1. here's today haul..... scored 2 more BATS .making a total of 14 regular plus 5 from Resolute.
TRU staff gave me the GI JOE ROC catalogue..apparently,you have to buy Joe toys to receive it...u guys seen it?coz i didnt get it 2 weeks ago when i purchased from TRU..matter of fact,i didnt know about this catalogue at all. below are some pics from the catalogue .Dragon Hawk is cool but RHINO is awesome.        |

Guys, though i dont collect GI JOES, in fact i dont even have a single GIJ figure/vehicle. But i really REALLY want to buy this one below:

Great news, Time Machine in BTS does bring in Target Exclusive RoC stuffs, expect to see Serpent Armour when the next wave arrive, hope they bring them more in.

TRU ROC today had several Baroness and that master-of-disguise fella. No ninjas or accelerator suits. Lots of those Alpha(?)-Class vehicles, RM69.90. Got lots of those RM569.90 tank/fortress... the PITT is it ? Anyone getting that ? |

PIT was a real tease for me..but as usual,lack of storage space kills the temptation .however,RHINO will compensate for that,so i hope Hasbro Msia will bring it in.
will definitely grab a few of the Snake Armor..black is always good for me.. on a side note,was at TRU earlier to collect a pair of GSC ROC tickets..i told the manager that i didnt receive the goodies when i first bought ROC toys .so he gave me 2 each of the poster ,dogtags,guidebook and profile cards (1 each of Joe and Cobra) .yay! its just a popcorn movie ,the type when you watch it mainly for its entertainment value .do not expect well thought out storyline ,deeply fleshed out characters etc .
you've seen The Mummy and its sequel..the same principle applies here .its an action packed movie for crying out loud.mix in humour,hi-tech vehicles and weaponry,slam bang thank you maam ,hard hitting action in your face,that's what i expect from this type of movie..one word sums it all ;COOL. i saw the Horsemen with Dennis Quaid in the lead as a father who buries himself in work that he doesnt pay much attention to his two kids..i recommend watchin this movie for Quaid's acting.it contains some torture porn element but not as gruesome as Hostel or Saw series . the last time i saw Pryce was in POTC :AWE .which part did he played?the man himself,Hama plays a general IINM. I just watched the movie this morning with 2 of my colleugues of mine. We didn't have any expectations but did expect a lot of rage, hate and grief after the movie is over. But when its really over, all 3 of us find it surprisingly enjoyable. More enjoyable than Transformers 2. The overall actions scenes, the fight scenes between Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, the cool factor of the vipers shown in the movie, just makes it better than Transformers 2. I mean, Transformers 2 is great, just that, all its scenes are very anti-climatic. Its great, but not sastisfyingly enough.
After the movie, me and my collegues just went to get more G.I.Joes toys. I got myself 3 HoH Bats, Target Exclusive Eel with the sled, Snakes Eyes wave 3 (i think), 25th Hiss Driver and Comic pack of Iron Grenadier/Viper. |

I love transformers in the 80s for the cartoon for GI Joe, it was the comics that was superb. As for the movie, I think GI JOE beats ROTF hands down.
I personally will pay any price for a G1 transformer but if you give me money to buy ROTF toys, I will throw it in a bin. As for Joe figures, they still rock as they still have slight resemblance to the 80s version. Unlike TF, let me count, ermmm, about 0 resemblance to the G1. So there, TF collectors, leave the Joes collector alone. And which idiot is selling or buying night raven for 200+, I got it for 199 at toyrus. Which idiot part with 400+ for the piece of crap they call devastator? |

That Delta 6 Accelerator Suit Duke is available at Carrefour... Kids' toy, lots of gimmicks, too noisy IMHO...
BTW, bro wast8: I think it has been argued to death that Bay's TF is too different from G1... No matter how much I love G1, but G1 stuffs just won't work in a movie context (non-animation / cartoon)... Agree with you on the playset Devastator... But TF collectors can also be Joes collector... Anyway, is the Reactive Impact Armor HD out? Out of touch, just have Rip Cord and Snake Eyes from ROC to date... |

Tropicana City's TRU has a lot of stock of RoC stuff and some HoH. Some Parkson and Metrojaya outlets sell them too, even Carrefour (wave 3 lines, but very limited and out of stock fast). You can still find RoC in Mid Valley's TRU, still, not a lot (left the crappy figures, quite surprised that Neo Vipers ran out of stock) but at least there's something. There's also KLCC's TRU, not sure about Subang Parade's TRU though (no one to confirm it yet). |

i already mentioned much earlier,SS and SE are the only hot figures..since they get to perform those cool moves in the movie..
but no worries coz there's an even ultimate version of SE coming..the City Strike SE which is incidentally the Resolute version..watch the cartoon on youtube and you will agree SE is without a shadow of a doubt,the coolest ninja ever to make an appearance in cartoons.cool gear,cool accesories.. i got PP SE from Tesco but there was only 1 left...got 3 unmasked SS though... bro wast,i went to SJ Tesco extra this morning...not even 1 GI Joe figure hanging on the pegs..i asked the staff and she seem clueless..i suppose they are completely sold out.... there's some wave 1 and 2 ROC at Sunway Carnival TRU. i hope TRU will bring in wave 3 ASAP...still need 2 PP SE and 1 DA Scarlett . Whoa! That is what I said when I opened my Wave 1 Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow this afternoon. They are just amazing figures; GI Joe figures have changed so much from before! (These two are my first GI Joe figures in this modern world.)
Storm Shadow looks very wicked with his coat even though it blocks his leg articulation. I particularly love the Nanomite Warhead Launcher. Every weapon of his is also very nice, but a gripe here: Is there anything or anyway his left hand is able to hold at all ? Snake Eyes is just... cool. Nothing needs to be said about any Snake Eyes toy except one word: Cool. The leg articulation is simply just amazing. After this two figures, I can be sure with myself that there are a few more to come. XD Pictures up tonight! |

I finally got some wave 2/3 lines...
Reactive suit Duke, Ripcord and Scarlet, and 1 Ice Viper, and Cobra Commander. No more Wave 2/3. Apparently, Times Square's Metro Jaya sold the only Cobra Commander there. The staff mentioned that Hasblow is restricting their stock (unknown reasons), those bastards Fatimus: What do you mean they're not bringing in more RoC toys? jz finish watch GI joe movie at 1U. no bad, but still less a bit of fighting scene btw SE & SS. do still enjoy watching those explosion scene & love their high tech weapon...
so they hav oready release SE normal & paris persuit figure. coming soon will hav city strike. i wonder soon will they release or not the white snow camo suit as we saw at the last part of the movie.. |

I finally unpacked my Cobra Gunship, it looks very cool along with the stickers on, too bad that the firefly figure has some complications sitting in the cockpit. I'm sastisfy with my Cobra Gunship, not sure if i wanna get Night Raven or not, it's too big and i have lack of storage space in my display cabinet. I tried peeling off Cobra Commander's mask off last night, took a long try and i only gotten half his mask off. The other side's peg sorta looked glued on to me. |

I love the senior ranking officer pack! The Commando Viper is meh, shouldn't be a Commando Viper since we already have the separate, single figure Commando Viper.
This Elite Viper is a variant paint, with the red visor instead of the single figure with the black visor, love it. I could get a few more of the normal black visored elite vipers and treat the red visor as an officer I preffered this variant destro repaint than the original one though, the colors are more deep and it stands out better than the grey colored version, but the weapons is a bit pain for the figure to hold properly. |

gunship is nice,its just the front gunner doesnt add up...but u can mod to replace the tiny gun with a better arsenal...
APV steelcrusher is awesome,nice mold,plus rubber tyres too raven on the other hand...slighlt smaller, the wheels are plasticly static,cant compare to the original raven, nevetheless the sound gimmick and overall new design is there to stay dont forget about ice dagger ya...kinda awesome figure with towering turrets polis, that dragon hawk nice |

tsg: Yeah, i forgot that the night raven's wheels don't move at all, kinda dissapointed though. However, i rather wait for Crimson Hydra, its Sigma 6 but i really love the overall design of the plane (and the wheels rolls too!). Bad thing is that there's no gimmick other than the missile launching feature in Crimson Hydra, saw the review in Youtube. Ice Dagger is the same mold as the original Cobra's Ice Dagger in the 90s, but as a repaint. Its great that Hasblow brings in nostalgic toys from the 90s. Review said its Ultra Deluxe, same as Crimson Hydra. Fatimus: Tempted to get it, when i was a kid, i was a fan of Exo Squad cartoons but never gotten a chance to get the toys (too expensive back then). both seasons of Sigma 6 is unexpectedly quite nice.HD and Tunnel Rat provide all the humor..both Stone and Firefly are cool and i was hoping for a longer fight scene between them..
i missed out on Sigma 6 figures..wave 1 SE is perhaps the awesomest figure in that line..not forgetiing the Hovercycle and RHINO.. |

I had about 3 box sets of Resolute packs, so i had extra resolute rifles from Duke's, i had the Mars troopers equipped them with it. Looked far more better than the cheap rifles they originally came with. Oh, nice little mod, by adding the red markings for the officers, i'm thinking of getting some paints this coming weekends, paint some of the weapons and the figures i have for a nice touch up.

starwarsilike: I think you can try your luck on Grafitti toys in Times Square on the Comic Packs, the Crimson Guard/Cobra Officer figures. I got myself about 7 of the comic packs for the price of RM40 each, reasonable price for 20 each. But, they might have it or not, have to keep on checking on the shop, i check them once every 1 week or twice sometimes.

Here's the pictures of Heavy Duty before unpacked...
 Here's the list of equipments that comes along with the figure...  Here he is with full gear...  And nothing but a Grenade Launcher  I have to warn everyone, its a bit pain in the ass to hook the minigun's belt feed to the backpack, which is quite true from the Youtube review i saw a few days ago. Guy from the review had the same difficulty hooking on the belt feed too, so i'm not alone here. so you might need a little bit of patience to stick them in. The Desert Eagle handgun seemed a bit small for the figure's size, well, at least its black. The Grenade Launcher seemed a bit soft, compared to the rest of the weapons from the other figures. Details are very nice, the backpack isn't hollow this time. I really like the figure, he's bulkier than the rest of the Joes and has a kick ass minigun. Same as the first wave Heavy Duty, I gave up trying to hook the grey minigun belt onto the bag.

Fatimus: Yeah, the body mold is the same as wave 1, but the sculpt's different due to the reactive armor. I preffered him in reactive armor than that wave 1 though. You might need to follow the way i stick the belt feed in like in my posted picture.
Also, i read that there's a Black Helm Firefly figure (instead of the Red helm) for the Cobra Gunship pack. I prefer it to be Red, the black helm seem to look bland. Just got back from TRU 1U and TRU Tropicana. I was able to get a Duke in Reactive Armor, Paris Pursuit Storm Shadow and a Scarlett
I wonder if the Paris Pursuit Snake Eyes was in this wave of restocks? There seem to be a number of them on the local ebay |

lowyatben: I saw several reviews, folks managed to pry off Cobra Commander's face off, some have difficulty (like mine), but you gotta be careful when you try to pry the mask off and not damage the mask using too much force. Once the mask is off, you can still put it back on the face as the forehead has a peg (as long you don't damage that

@ starwarsilike: I am really resisting very hard to join this side of the dark force. LOL! Came across Cobra Commander a couple times but decided to not get it yet. Must. Remain. Loyal. To. Star. Wars. LOL! Furthermore, CC doesn't look like this in the movie, right? For the record, I have not watched it yet. Otherwise, I'd go and purchase all the VIPERs and troopers. LOL!
Anyway, I don't understand why the MARs troopers and commander 3-pack costs more (RM30 more, IIRC) than the Destro and Senior Officers 3-pack. Sigh! Which version of Destro is more movie accurate? The single carded one or the Senior Officers pack? Also, IMHO, the Viper looks better in the single carded version than this 3-pack. What do you guys think? But of course the 3-pack is much cheaper when you calculate the individual figures. |

There will be the "The Doctor" coming out soon, can't wait for him And yes, me and starwarsilike had the same gripe on the pricing for the MARS troops and Senior Ranking Officer Packs. Both destro figures is not movie accurate. They haven't release the James McCullen (aka Destro, but in his normal attire) figure here in Malaysia yet Yes, i preffered the original Neo Viper, he looks far more better than the rest of the repaints...except for the upcoming Crimson Neo Viper, he looks very nice in red. |

but not promising is the price. 39.90 is really expensive that is why till now still not getting 1 movie figs. those 25th annivesary all those are more reasonable 25-30 some even 20 bucks only hopefully they will re tag their price. |

just returned from toy-hunting..TRU has Target Exclusive Wave 1 selling at RM49.90 each!!!!and i was paying RM80 each few weeks back at local toy shops...so now's the time to stock up on Eels with Wave Crusher..
i went to 2 TRU outlets and each one had only 2 Eels on display.also,Wave 2/3 is very limited..only 1 each of Cover GIrl,HD RA and Deep 6 available...i saw about 2 SS and CC ..no DA Scarlett or Ice Viper tho...also only 1 outlet has Ice Dagger (2 available). more pics of Ice Dagger and short review in few hours . here's today's haul..    |

here's the review and pics on Ice Dagger..this bad boy is a definite buy at RM119.90.i was expecting it to be around RM150-200.haven't apply stickers on the vehicle but will probably get that done tomorrow.
so here we go with the review. Packaging ------------- beginning ROC line,the vehicles are packed in a more eye-catching way.the flaps are designed in a cool way. here's the contents inside the box. stickers and instruction sheet are included with a plastic bag storing the missiles, a gun (to be attached above the canopy) and radar dish and antenna. Frostbite comes without any weapons or accesories..cmon Hasbro ,at least give the guy a sidearm or a knife.  The Dagger ------------- here's a pic of the vehicle's bottom .there are 3 mini wheels and you can roll the vehicle forward and backward.pretty standard stuff.the treads are not movable,same with the HISS tank.  the vehicle in "battle mode". push a button on the rear and the two side panels flip open, thus allowing the top mounted gun station to spring into action .  the front skis can rotate left and right plus downward (but not all the way).it can't go upwards though.  Added on August 21, 2009, 11:20 pmSize Comparison -------------------- the Dagger is place side by side with VAMP and HISS tank.without a doubt ,our bad boy is the winner in terms of size.  the gunner station is where the 4 missiles are located .adjacent to the radar ,there are 2 buttons when pressed, fires two missiles on each side.  Storage Capacity -------------------- now here's where this vehicle is most awesome. with space for 8 figures ,i believe this has to be the largest capacity vehicle for the price range .  there are pegs above the treads although you have to bent the figure's leg sideaways ,which is absurd.  poor Stalker has to cramp inside the back compartment . I tried calling them up, asking them if they have the new wave of GI Joe figs, but they say they only have the old ones. And it's really far for me to go to Mid Valley. At least the other TRUs were able to tell me that they didn't have it. (Not that it's what I wanted to hear)

So far TRU at KLCC letting scalpers got away, as on my previous a worker said that right after the lastest wave arrive, a person "swept" all of it.

I've checked on Toy Wiz last night, surprisingly, nothing fruitful on the RoC line except they do have a almost full set of Hall of Heroes. Storm Shadow and Snakes Eyes are sold there in retail price, that's good to know. Other stuff, i saw a comic pack for an Iron Grenadier and Iron Grenadier Destro being sold there for RM 40.00.
Nothing much on RoC, just a handful of wave 1 figures that no one wants and a couple of gunships and 1 night raven. Apparently, my trip to Time Machine, i saw...still unopened boxes of G.I. Joes figures. They're probably stock with Collection 1 Wave 2 stuff and they probably going to jack up the prices up to RM 60 per piece, if i'm right. Or even more expensive. Cineleisure's toy shops has nothing except in MySciFi diner. They got a handful of RoC stuff, but its the same ole wave and i didn't bothered to check the prices. At least my trip over there isn't wasted, i saw a very interesting find... Cobra Patch for RM 15!  When i saw it, i immediately bought it. They do sell more patches but with the white background. I didn't like it. I wanted to get more of them for all my working shirts, but they ran out starwarsilike + Fatimus: Least its good to know that most TRUs are keeping their stock away from scalpers/toy shop owners. more haul for today..finally scored my DA Scarlett.interestingly,there's not even 1 ROC Wave 1 SE and SS on the pegs.non Joe collectors are likely to sapu them all.same goes for HOH Commando SE..let's not talk about the Wave 1 SE as that was sold out immediately upon arrival.
no sign of PP SE at any TRU outlet in PG. bro Sadistic, what's the size of that awesome Cobra patch?is it the same as TF that's on sale at TRU? also,anybody bought SDCC 1/6 Baroness?  |

darkshadow: Its about 3+ inches wide, and 3 inches in height. I compared the sizes, it'll be the same emblem sized of the G.I. Joe movie poster that TRU's been giving out (the smaller movie poster). Not sure about the TF patch though, i didn't noticed those in TRU so i can't compare it.
The HS for Baroness in the youtube video somehow looks a bit weird, but at least better than the grinning unmasked cobra commaner |

yes Cobra trooper comes with decent amount of accesories. btw,his facemask is not removable,is it?
anybody getting sideshow CC?there's also a throne chair just for him.but those 1/6 really expensive la..first SE,then SS,CC,Cobra trooper and coming soon ,DUke.fuh!then there's SE with Timber and dio scene.the other alternative is Hasbro's own 1/6..now those are cheap but i hate the molded on shirts. i am running low on ammo so gonna stick with the 3 3/4 scale. |

just finish watching GI JOE Resolute animation. Maan they made Joes tooo damm good. 2 fella can sweep the entire base making as if cobra soldiers are total useless

Actually, they sorta rushed the Resolute animation, i didn't like the ending too much. Not to say that the entire animation is bad, its great, mind you, with the modern animation, the PG 13 kills, the Snake Eyes vs Storm Shadow scene, all very nice. But if they wanted to make a stand alone, alternate G.I. Joe animation, they shoulda offed a few more Joes and Cobra ranking officers. Yeah, the entire animation shows that the Cobra troops is very incapable of doing any harm towards any random Joe or something. Typical storm trooper effect during in the scene with duke and scarlett in th emiddle of drums (which i pressumed to be oil drums, that makes it even more ridiculous), surrounded by the cobra alley vipers (which i don't see too much of a difference since they look like the typical cobra troopers). Bazooka is the only casualty throughout the animation, while Zartan, Major Bludd K.IA. but Destro and Baroness were arrested (lame). Firefly made his brief only appearance in 1st episode (lame) Where the hell are the twins? (lame) Where the hell is Wild Weasel? Snake eyes looks soo cool flying above the water and taking down cobra troopers. Fighthing against Storm Shadow was nice to watch but i do felt they also given all the good stuff to the good guys. Overall it was nice to watch but just totally hated when i see like OH MY GOD 30 ++ cobra shooting at 2 men and non get to hit them and 2 guns shooting 30 ++ cobra and got hit most of it? yeah, the gi joe resolute briefs were kinda silly, but kudos to the animation and the 'raw' side of gi joe that is hardly seen in mainstream media...
the premis of the show is ok i guess, particle canons and sat disruptors... and for once, they actually reveal how sinister and smart cobra commander really is, which is a plus to mee too... othyer than that, id rather watch the star wars animation briefs on youtube.... ...comming back to the toys though....lol |

para viper - haha dont think easy to get ler everyone is aiming for it especially scalpers. I think i spotted some of them in amcorp mall( i mean scalpers). Saw this stall selling storm shadow,snake eyes, Paris pursuit of both character as well. Price 55 each and have to buy in pairs.

here's my collection of Wraiths..got 1 more not pictured coz i couldnt find him..when i first saw his appearance in Image comic series,my first thought was how amazing his action figure will be like.this guy is just awesome.there's a blue variant but i couldn't find him..
bro Sadistic,there's two solution to the elbow restriction issue..completely cut off both ends of the wires or just the end that joins to the upper elbows.  and here's Wraith marking his debut in the comics.beginning that issue,there's 4-5 pages dedicated to telling Wraith's origin.i think he was offed by Snake Eyes in America's Elite..not sure which issue tho coz i stopped buying after issue 10. Although Wraith has the upperhand with the suit, Baroness knew the scematics of the armor long enough (Wraith worked for Destro and Barones instead choosing to work with Cobra for quite some time, probably months), to counter-attack and disable his armor. Rendering him imobilized and helpless, Wraith offered Baroness the whereabouts of her child in exchange for sparing his life, Baroness rather blows his brains apart, knowing full well that he'll probably backstab her again. I remembered in the Image comics, Destro sent Baroness away in a jet ,piloted by Wraith..correct me if i'm wrong but it's been few years since i read that issue..when the jet took off,it exploded...what happened to Wraith?in Elite,Baroness was held captive by the Joes,her child taken from her.

darkshadow: You're right, Destro did have Baroness to be transported by a jet plane with Wraith as a bodyguard. Destro was afraid of Baroness and their child's safety. During that time, Wraith was already on a payroll from Cobra Commander. The jet did explode, sabotaged by Wraith, but she and wraith wasn't in the jet, can't remember how he did pull it off though. And yup, somehow she ended up being caught by the Joes, had an operation and got the baby out.
Then it gets even more funkier...Cobra Commander handpicked several promising units, each specializing in their own skills, to do their final test...to kidnap a baby in a hospital and killing ALL witnesses. Two of the units questioned the logic and the moral compass of kidnapping babies, one of them is the famous Rip-It, HiSS Tank Commander. They got killed. This same unit, later joined by few more promising candidates, are renamed by Cobra Commander...as The Plague, to be EQUALS to the Joes. Awesome. darkshadow: Yeah, WWIII storyline! It's pretty awesome with those covers, showcasing all the characters. There were at least a dozen over cobra characters that i don't even recognized and i wish Big Boa was in the 25th line

dzirhan: I think, so far, only the America's Elite is by far, the most enjoyable for me but you'll be missing out a lot of stuff happening in the previous storylines. There's also "G.I.Joes - Cobra", a short mini-series, starring Chuckles, inflitrating into a terrorist organization (Cobra hasn't made their name yet). Its fun to see how vast the Crimson Guard army is, how Cobra work their way to conquering third world countries and such.
starwarsilike: Nice review as always , i always love your camera shots on your reviewsjstbid: Cobra Gunship is really worth the money to buy. Despite the small packaging box, once you snap in the tail fin, the gunship is pretty big. It could store up to 3 figures (including the pilot), and can hold 3 more figures underneath the gunship on its handle bars. I haven't had the oppurtunity to get the Nigh Raven yet, despite my pay came out, i'm still contemplating if i should get it due to its pricing and...the size of it. Doubt i have extra space for it alone. |

the problem is ,after attaching the tail fin,its hard to detach. i tried to yank it out but gave up as i'm concerned something will break..it takes up too much space...damn.
now need to find lubang to squeeze those vehicles..else no space for RHINO. |

Same as Night Raven, it has auto lock after you snap the cockpit into the body, and it can't be yanked out.

I just bought the Cobra Senior Ranking Officer set and I have to say that is one good pack! Its so fricking amazing at such a good price!

Been trolling here for some time and wishing I still had my old ones intact.. I've spent the last 3 days scouring the city looking for 2 figures (extremely small chance of finding them nowadays but I had to try) and would like to ask here for help. I am looking for these two: 1) Hall of Heroes Snake Eyes with Timber 2) Hall of Heroes Storm Shadow If anyone knows where I can find them or direct me to where they are available, I'd greatly appreciate the help (E-bay is my second last option while a shop here would be my very last option. Wouldn't sell separately but in set and I only need these two). Thanks in advance everyone. I'd show my current figures but they're all from the RoC lines and I just collect the cool looking ones. Not into troop building |

I stop by TRU KLCC everyday since my office is just opposite the building. My itinerary these 3 days:
1) Sg Wang 2) Lot 10 3) Times Square 4) Curve 5) Amcorp Mall 6) Tropicana City Mall Checked out the TRU and department stores only. No luck and all the walking and driving makes me sad |

went to Curve no luck at all on Wave 1 storm shadow all gone.
But still got tons of Snakes eyes and paris pursuit of snake eyes and storm shadow also got cover girl. Odinn congrats haha |

It's been mentioned before, but Jusco is not carrying any Hasbro products. Also while everyone posting here is a true collector, I'm just wondering that if by posting info on where to find etc on this thread, we are making it easier for scalpers who lurk on this forum. Rather sad really that these kind of things happen.

Regarding the Toywiz question, it might be possible if you are ordering a case as basically most speciality stores will only reserve figures if you take the case (so that they don't get stuck with the dregs), unfortunately many of the speciality stores aren't really taking GI Joe given that Hasbro is releasing it to TRU and the dept stores. BTW Fatimus, where is your hometown? As there might actually be a place there where you can get joes. |

who knows, but the supermarket will be depending on demographic.

Well save for newcomers who've not posted in the thread here , it's pretty much certain by the postings here that those who have posted on this thread are collectors. So one can PM in the cases of any of the regulars here who asked where to find a particular figure and since the scalpers only target figures, it's not a problem to answer freely to anyone looking for a vehicle

too bad renjiv stock is not abundant like transformers 2 where hasbro stock up tons of stock. Gi joe they did not do that and that is why it was not a tons of stock situation now

    Check out the nifty little turret As for Aqua Viper Officer  His legs use the Resolute Duke legs.    Love the WWII submachine gun  Too bad you have to remove the helmet to close the hatch. |

damn, the mantis attack craft is nice. Still no sign of Rhino in malaysia? Cobra Island packs have been out in the US for sometime but I still cannot find any shops carrying those in malaysia. I want Dr. Mindbender .

Fatimus & starwarsilike: Just came back from Lot 10 Isetan, i bought 2 of the Mantis craft (there's still 1 or 2 more left), as i was about to pay RM 160 for both of it, the cashier had me wrote my name and phone number on some sorta promotion on GI Joe toys and i got a 10% discount off! I instead paid RM 143, cheaper
I'm saving some dough for the Crimson Hydra I did checked for any new stuff in Mid Valley's TRU, sorry all, nothing new Yup, i seriously meant about the gathering. So who wants to meet up, watch GI Joe the movie in GSC Times Square, check out the toy shops and talk all about GI Joes? If you meant premier class for the movie then yes, got 12.00pm noon, but for normal class it is getting later and later, the 1st view is 3.30pm
