didnt expect to find a Joe thread..i am from Penang,consider as king of GI Joe here..for starters check out my website at http;//darkshadowtoys.50webs.com .i didnt update it for over 6 months but will do so soon.

i have 412 25th and modern era GI Joe figures plus about 10 vehicles.not into the vehicles that muc coz they consume space.

previously i have a dedicated Joe thread at play.com.my but the site had since shut down.

here are some shots of my Cobra troopers,taken few months ago and was posted on play.com.my.

info update.
-as of now,only Wave 13 had been released,plus the new 5 packs of GI Joe, Cobra and Resolute.
-Cobra Island 7 packs had been shelved to possibly end of this year.
-movie figures should hit our local toy shops end of this month or first week of July.
-vehicles wave 5 should be in store next month.
-Wave 14 and 15 had been delayed till further notice.
-Comuc packs stopped at Wave 8 (Destro/Shockblast and S.Shadow/Tunnel Rat)

i have 5 black BATS from resolute 5 packs that wasn't shown in the pic.
the red Viper is from vehicle wave 3 Claw/Fang.
Hasblow is concentrating on the movie line all the way to next year..
possbly we might get wave 14 ,again next year.same goes for Viper 5 pack.
and there will be numerous repaints of 25th and modern era ,repackaged in movie line also coming soon.

yeah the Para Vipers are awesome..am thinking of repainting some of them coz the yellow and orange just doesnt bring out the badass in them.

i got my Bats and Para vipers in cases, not sold separately..that's the only way to ensure i get them..hence for wave 10,i bought 6 cases which equals 6 Para vipers..and 2 cases of wave 11 for the remaining 2.

troopers rule,dont u think?back in 2007,i was more of Imp Stormtrooper freak...got over 20 of the 30th anni coin series Stormies..would have gotten more if not for the fact that there arent any left for sale.

i only look forward to NIght Creepers and Alley Vipers..hoping to get the Shockblast/Night Creeper 2 pack.
you started ur collection late,that's why u couldn't get them..
i only buy from ebay those figs from the earlier waves..
and i spent in total over rm300 just for shipping charges..plus i had to pay almost twice ,some even more, per figure for those from wave1-5.

all the movie MARS troopers,vipers,etc look like shit to me.
a real letdown to an old fan.
i definitely pass on them...will get the others tho,mainly for customs purpose.

here's my Joes and Cobra operatives in group shots..i didnt add in alternate versions or repaints or extras (i have plenty of extra figs due to case purchases) for the Joes but for Cobra i added IG Destro and wave 8 Baroness (instead of the new Cobra 5 pack).if i were to add all versions of the Joes and Cobra,it's gonna equal 3-4 times the amount that i had shot.

Only missing Lift Ticket which i didnt buy, Quick Kick,Alpine and Dusty (from the DVD Packs which dint make its way to Malaysia) and first Cobra 5 pack Baroness.

in Canada,the movie toys is already on sale at retail..
there have been numerous release dates according to HIsstank,from July 1st thru July 10th.
i already have 3 black HISS tanks from wave 1 ,so wil pass on the Arctic version.

to Fatimus, there is no bubblegum/headset for the Vehicle version of Breaker.check out one of the grey tanks on the side of the bike..there's an extra pistol inside.

to Sadistic, i have 6 Croc Master.have thrown away 4 of his crocs..no point having that many.

that's quite a lot of wave 2 Cobra troopers u got there, TM2 Dinobot .i have only 3 of them...check out pg 2 of this thread for pics of my troopers...

just got news from local toy shop,loads of ROC stuff schedule to arrive by mid july..

the turn off point for me is the pricing,each regular fig will cost between rm37-40 .

PIT cost around rm550 and ultimate DUke over rm300.

damn Hasblow really is pushing up prices..Joes used to cost rm23 per fig,up till Wave 13...same goes for thee 5 packs (5 figs at RM114.90)...this is another ploy by them to cash in on the movie...but its not going to sell..most ppl will grab the two resident ninjas...leaving the rest to warm pegs.
this price is on par with Marvel Universe.DC IH,and X-Men Origins...all of which i am collectin,,which puts an even bigger dent on my torn wallet.


here's carded figs for wave 1 to 4..also, HOH is coming together with ROC..each one cost RM39.90.i'm grabbin 2 Firefly and SE with timber.skip the rest coz u can get them from CPs and new 5 pack Joe and Cobra.

do u mean just the faceplate or together with the helmet?or the hood of CC?or the battle helmet?or the sigma 6 version ?or VvV?or ,there's just too many variations to CC.

rest assured,you will hv an easy time choosing Joes..the only figures u hv to worry about are the two resident ninjas,SE and SS.
plus possibly Baroness.that's all.

i'm getting 2 baroness,she packs quite a number of accesories..will skip Cobra troopers tho'.but will definitely be troop building Duke in desert ambush.

there's also Duke from sideshow...to come soon.

if u check TRU website,its stated that ROC toys are coming mid July,and my local shop also emailes me saying they should be here in the next few days.

bro Helldiver,yeah movie based toys are always costly.anyway,wave 14 onwards should be released around year end or 1st qtr '10.now its gonna be just ROC and more ROC..i m thinking of getting one cobra gunship just for Firefly with removable helmet.

how many Dukes are on the pegs?there should be 2 per case.

good haul there,Fatimus .i was at TRU just few hours ago..called both outlets in Penang and they told me last nite ROC had arrived.

now here's my purchases for today...i broke my record of single day spending on toys.
will head to the second TRU branch on Saturday,still have 16 Desert Duke to buy to complete my purchase ,for now.
from my observation,TRU in my area brought in 6 cases of figs (12 fig per case) at 3 case each for wave 1 and wave 2.

Snake-Eyes visor can actually move up ,tho' it was glued on..but i managed to get it up.
Duke's NVG is movable,to my surprise.my only gripe is the hole on his right leg is supposed to store his gun but somehow the cheap design on the gun comes without the peg.

yeah i am troop building Duke..he looks like current US troops..but the biggie has got to be PIT commando..that one is the real troop builder.

i havent open my gunship...BATS and Vipers from Hall of Heroes completely gone when i went there..
i will wait for the Cobra Island 7 pack for the BATS,maybe the second outlet may have them..but priority is on Duke..
