Hi all!

I finally finished putting the stickers onto the steel crusher. Lets start the figure first.


NITRO VIPER
So i pulled the figure out first from the box and boy, was i really dissapointed.

I'm not gonna bother showing you the figure, it seriously sucked.

The only 2 things that's new is the head and the vest (i hope i'm wrong), the rest are recycled parts from Viper, AVAC and some others i haven't bothered to remember.

The helm glass is really cheap in design and the head is easily poppable.

The colors is dull, is mostly dark blue with nothing to make it interesting. I tried looking if this piece of crap has any weapons or foot stand. Guess what? Neither.

Poor crap has no sidearm or even a combat knife (not like AVAC or Copperhead's, least you get a combat knife) but this stupid viper doesn't even come with a foot stand, what the hell?

Artwork from the bottom of the box is lame, like the artist didn't take any effort to make it look...presentable. I guess i don't blame the artist, since the figure alone looks like a cheap crap.

Overall, if there's a rating, i'm gonna give: * out of *****


Next, the highlight of the show...

STEEL CRUSHER
Wow, they actually put a lot of details on this vehicle. I like the color scheme, black and some parts are grey and silver, its simple. The tires are rubber, which i'm surprisingly glad its not pure plastic And you can remove the tires off the rim too, of course i didn't try it, fraid that i can't put it back in, lol. I was expecting too much of it, because i was hoping that the front tires can actually swerve and turn, but too bad it can't

The headlights is transparent-ish, makes it a nice little thing there, least its not pure yellow

Bottom of the hummer is surprisingly detailed with gas tanks, axles, and all that thingies you find under a real car. Both doors from the left and right can be opened (sad to say, the back doors aren't). A removable plower, which is a good thing to turn this as a normal vehicle.



However, the bad news is, its kinda pain in the ass to fit the figure through the door, so i just pop him into the driver seat from the top opened roof. From the inside, it has a lot of nice touch of details. Too bad for a few things: it has a steering wheel (which you can't turn), a hand brake (which you can't pull). But your crappy Nitro Viper can actually fit his hands onto the steering wheel and the hand brake, nice

Here's a not so clear view of my crappy picture that they went as far as putting the vehicle's gas tank, i like that kinda detail in this.



Both side of the hummer's backdoors can pop out the small missiles (where you can remove them out as well). From the top of the roof, you can slide the back of the roof to the front and the back of the hummer's secret hidden missile launcher, pops out with spring loaded action



Too bad the turret's a bit loose. You can store your 3 missiles in the vehicle. Aside from that, once you slide the roof, you pop the windshield protector down, and voila, Steel Crusher is ready for combat

Overall, Steel Crusher is worth the money (despite that you're getting a crappy figure, with no weapon and no foot stand) with the close details of workmanship. The overall plastic seemed a bit tough and stable.

I will say the nitro viper is like a real life lego character, due to the hilariously big helm glass.

Here's my brief review on the Rockslide ATAV with Snow Job

I can't comment such about the vehicle but it is overall a sturdy little one, the tank track can be adjusted up and down and the front skis can be steer left and right but with limitation. Overall it is fun to fiddle with if you have wild imagination.








As for the figure, it is....surprisingly good. He is one sturdy little *******, and his goggle and sweater head can be removed. Funny thing is, the figure reminds me alot of The Thing poster. Oh yeah he comes with the nifty revolver on his right leg





The figure can be fit perfectly well into the ATAV, which is a good thing. Depends on personal preferance, I kinda like the idea that figure with vehicle doesn't come with the trademark stand.

I give it 7 out of 10

that's becoz Snow Job is merely a repaint of 25th Wave 5.does he come with backpack and skis?

too bad nope, hence i can't make react the PSA parody.

Fatimus: Nice brief review there

You almost tempt me on getting Snow Job and that Rockslide but i would rather get the original 25th Snow Job (he has skis and i'm a sucker for those lol).

You should do a review on your Night Raven!

I saw the Stratos Viper figure in the Night Raven, and it seemed that the paint job aren't doing so well, i could be wrong.

And someone should do a review on the Cobra Gunship, i'm thinking of getting it but it looked kinda weak with its lack of weaponry, its suppose to be a gunship

And what turned me off is that, another Firefly figure, i like the helm and accessories, just not liking having another repaint of Firefly

Since i have both Night Raven and cobra gunship, I will do so tomorrow.

i opened my Gunship last nite and i gotta say,its pretty impressive.
am thinking of getting a second one.

COBRA GUNSHIP REVIEW
================

-the machine gun below the cockpit rotates 360 degrees.
-topside hatch slides open to store 3 bombs.behind the hatch is a button,upon pressing releases bottom hatch to drop the bombs.
-left and right side panels open to reveal engines.
-3 working landing gear (2 in front and 1 in rear),push them up when the craft is in the air.
-cockpit opens from left side and there are a bunch of controls and radar plus two controllers on each side of arm rest that can be gripped by Firefly.
-side door opens and you can store 2 figures inside..there are no pegs for the figures' back hence they tend to move about..however pushing the figure's leg more towards the front solves this.
-you can also place a figure on the bottom of the opened door...see Baroness in the last pic.

darkshadow: after seeing your "dressless" storm shadow, i did the same thing too!

He looks far more better without his latex like dress and poses better too!

well,initialy i thought of buying maskless SS but then i thought it's the same version sans the skirt .
besides, the gun that comes with skirt-Tommy just wont fit inside the holster.
the dress just gets in the way of posing..logically,ninjas need space for movement and speed..the skirt just dont make sense to me.

and he looks much cooler this way.

Perhaps I expect too much from Cobra Gunship, hasbro seem lazy to paint the engine .

Oh do anyone think that the gunship look similiar to some aircrafts in C&C Tiberium series, I just got that feeling by looking at the tail fin.

I feel sad for Firefly's lack of accessories, and there's an empty gun holder (or whatever it is) on his lower right leg. But since i have another Firefly (ARAH single card version), it will go along fine. I will be waiting for the RoC paratrooper to go along with the gunship, it might be sweet.

Beside I think this has the resolute paint scheme, if anyone still remember at the early part.

Anyway moving on to Night Raven





It has 3 buttons at the end of the jet, I start from the back till front :

1st button : Take off sound effect

2nd button : Pilot's random dialogue (I can't hear it clearly), 3 lines

3rd button : Sound effect for targeting

The trigger below also can be activated after you press it to shoot.

If you look at the Night Raven wholely, it function like a shotgun, cock the head back to turn the revolver at both side and squeeze the trigger.

I don't have much comment on Air Viper, it looks cool to me, just that the handgun is molded along with the vest.

The Night Raven seems pretty much smaller than what I expected

Man, I feel like getting them Ninjas and the Steel Crusher for them to do those action fighting scenes on a car XD How much does an individual figure cost? The steel crusher costs RM119.90 right ?

Air Viper is actually a repaint of Strato Viper..very cheap of Hasblow not to include weapon for most of the vehicle drivers and pilots.
The Viper in the mole driller is a repaint of Croc Master.

NIght Raven is kinda cool,the way you place Strato in the seat and push it up and he'll be in the cockpit.the original Raven can seat 2 figs but i believe this one only has storage for 1 pilot.

also,there's machine gun effects(sound and lights) from the side gatlings..really cool.

i would hv grabbed it if not for lack of storage space.

It may not be as awesome and big as the vintage one, but I still like it.

Yeah it only allow one pilot, the Air Viper just practically lie down inside the cockpit.

I just bought the last Hall of Heroes' Beachhead. Was wanting to get the movie snake eyes, ever since i removed Stormy's skirt, but Mid Valley's TRU ran out of movie snake eyes and no more Hall of Heroes' Firefly.

I finally saw TRU stock up the Joes' Mobile Pitt Command, impressively huge! And pricey!

congrats on ur haul Reaper..

stock of PIT in Pg is not moving..went to second TRU outlet few hours ago..hoping to get Desert Duke..to my dismay,not even 1 left.ask the store assistant and he told me yesterday ,2 guys came and bought a huge bunch of figures..there goes my Duke..

also missing are Destro ,HOH Firefly,BATS and Snake w/Timber..others are aplenty. bought 1 more Ripcord..the helmet is pretty cool..hence am thinking of getting 2 more for customs..make it a squad of 5.

i have no luck in findin BATS,not that I need them ,seeing I have 10 regular BATS and 5 Resolute...
heh,but tangan gatal and feel tempted to buy.

anyway,was about to leave the store but decided to check on Wolverine origins and Marvel Universe..got all wave 4 Marvel figures that i have been searching for over 1 1/2 months ,not needing Red Hulk which was reserved for another customer by the store assistant.

so no Duke but got Marvel..yayy.

went home and called KL shop, good thing there's 8 Desert Duke available. sapu all plus 2 more Eel with Wave Crusher.

the Eel was purchased from one of Penang toy shop..all 4 types are there but i only wanted Eel.cost me RM75.
this repaint of Eel looks pretty impressive compared to Wave 11's.
the price tag is rather a turn off tho.

Great haul, yeah agree with the price, must be just because of Target Exclusive.

I read at the Hisstank forum, that Target will be selling the Neo Vipe with the SNAKE armor pack, great nostalgic toy, i hope any of the toy shops in KL is selling it when it comes

I'm hoping to get movie Destro, and some of the Hall of Heroes' BATS and Vipers

Just bought Heavy Duty and Zartan (is the actor that acted as The Mummy fellow ?), still abit sad at Heavy Duty's eyes, will need help from sone to photoshop his face into awesome smiley.

the Snake armo is a definite buy if it has articulation.if it's a piece of plastic statue,then give it a pass.

Fatimus : yeah,it's Arnold Vosloo aka Imhotep..looks like portraying the master of disguise may very well revive his Hollywood career.he's been acting ina bunch of B grade movies for few years now.

Yeah I like his acting in Darkman 2 and 3. This time he needs another big break especially this one.
