Can the Cobra Commander's face mask be removed? I saw a couple on the shelves and I'm now thinking whether or not to get my very first G.I. Joe figure...!

Is there an image posted online where we could see the disfigured face of this particular figure?

@ starwarsilike: I am really resisting very hard to join this side of the dark force. LOL! Came across Cobra Commander a couple times but decided to not get it yet. Must. Remain. Loyal. To. Star. Wars. LOL! Furthermore, CC doesn't look like this in the movie, right? For the record, I have not watched it yet. Otherwise, I'd go and purchase all the VIPERs and troopers. LOL!

Anyway, I don't understand why the MARs troopers and commander 3-pack costs more (RM30 more, IIRC) than the Destro and Senior Officers 3-pack. Sigh!

Which version of Destro is more movie accurate? The single carded one or the Senior Officers pack?

Also, IMHO, the Viper looks better in the single carded version than this 3-pack. What do you guys think? But of course the 3-pack is much cheaper when you calculate the individual figures.

@ Sadistic Reaper: I'll see if my force field gets broken before the end of the week. LOL!

@ Sadistic Reaper, starwarsilike, et al: Is there a GI Joe website like what Rebelscum.com is to Star Wars that one could check out for updates?

Do you have images of the upcoming The Doctor and Crimson Neo Viper figures?

Any others that we should keep an eye out for?

Thanks in advance.

Argh! Please don't temp me. Hah!

Anyway, yeah, the price increase for Star Wars made me more selective when purchasing George Lucas' creations nowadays. And I still haven't purchased my first Joe. Yet. LOL!

Are Rex "The Doctor" Lewis and Cobra Commander the same person?

Added on August 21, 2009, 4:48 pmBy the way, can anyone please identify who these figures/troopers are: http://generalsjoes.com/wp-content/gallery...1_cobra_box.png

Left to right: Neo Viper, Elite Viper, Duke (Disguised as Cobra unit), MARS Officer and MARS Trooper
IN that case, then perhaps this is a better set to collect with most of the figures that'd caught my attention. However, if Hasbro were to OVERprice it, then I'll just stick to Star Wars. Consider it a warning, Hasbro! brows.gif

What does a Para-Viper look like?

Edit: Is this the one?

In that case, I haven't seen any around... sad.gif

I'm still able to resist any purchase of G.I. Joe figures. The Force is still strong with me. Please don't tempt me. Argh! Not to the dark side! wink.gif

as for me,the first ever major collision of GI Joe vs Transformers by Marvel Comics back in 80s is awesome.
also, the above mentioned Image series.and 1 particular digest in B+W featuring ninjas in action with no dialogue titled Arashikage Showdown.

Thanks, man. Re: the first GI Joe vs TF, is it reprinted anywhere at all?
What about the Image/DD series? Now that IDW's taken over the publishing rights, is the former publisher's series still available in its entirety in TPB form?

For the record, I enjoyed the cool looking TF vs GI Joe minis produced by Dreamwave a few years ago.The first one had jaw-dropping artwork by the ever awesome Jae Lee (who, by the way, came to M'sia sometime in the 90s and I even had a photo taken with him and a sketch drawn and autographed by him). IIRC, I think they didn't finish the second mini-series.

Wow! Good thing I did not start on G.I. Joes. Otherwise, I'd be "trooper"-ed! Besides, these're kinda hard to find in retail... TRU, etc. Have to get whole cases from toy specialty stores...
