dont apply on all of your hair. just on the end part already enough if you keep your hair reasonably long.

For me, MUD is kinda the hardest to wash.

Even how much u apply to your hair, no matter wat product, the style will not hold for the whole day. It will get weaker when time pass by.

But for MUD, I find the good thing is, once the hold on ur hair is weakened, u can just mess ur hair and try to style it again, then it will hold for another period of time. But styling with MUD is abit harder coz it's dry.

For Hairspray, they give the hard/stiff hold. But u cant touch it often becoz it will lose holding strength.

For Wax/Web, these are easier to wash, easier to style coz not as dry as MUD but their holding strength might not be so strong too.

Thats what I think. tongue.gif

you guys should try Sebastian Xtah Crude Clay. works a lot better than any gatsby and arimino (japan famous wax) to me. although quite expensive but a small bottle of it last more than a year to me.

it's for matte look and can last without using spray for whole day on my medium long hair. use a little bit of it can style your whole hair already but quite hard to wash, about the same like using the hardest rubber from gatsby.

hair cut is the essential of getting a nice hairstyle. hair styling product is to style and enhance it only.

to me if you use the right product you can style your hair faster and easier. and if you able to style your hair with the least amount of wax/mud your hair will last longer since it wont be too heavy for your hair to stand unless you using hard spray.

Now Osis should be pretty cheap, I get to buy 2 Osis Wax Control (with the number 2 on the red square box, don't know the real name as I'm not at home, in office now) for only RM55.

If you wanna use MUD have to buy professional washing shampoo, easier to clean. But I find that professional washing shampoo sometimes make your hair dry so it's something you have to look into.

For me, I've been using Osis since 4-5years ago since introduced by my hairstylist last time, she was so cute lol. Never looked back since, no more Gatsby, Mandom bla bla bla.

I started using Hairspray now since sometimes the hair won't hold after you styled it (Means will drop or run abit la the style haha)

Well I am not very sure, never tried clay before. But the wax I am using is good enough to hold out my styling (I don't do awesome mad style though), my hairs are long. You can try I suppose, and change to adjust accordingly lor.

Clay is harder and can hold your hair more, but it's also hard to wash off.
Wax is more soft and natural IMO.

the price for sebastian crude clay is around rm40 for small bottle and around rm90 for big one. The small one actually last more than 1.5 year for me.

i think wax is better for shorter hair, clay more suitable for longer hair. anyway it's depends on which clay/wax you using.

clay is harder but i dont think it's harder to wash off. at least the crude clay i'm using easier to wash comparing to purple gatsby.

last time i tried b4. Dunno whether it'll work for u or not tho coz my hair is strange.

1. After washing, blow dry ur hair completely. Blow ur hair in an upwards direction to make it "fluffy"
2. Use some wax (I used L'Oreal Studio Dirty Clean Texturing Paste) and distribute it all over ur palm.
3. Ruffle through ur hair with ur fingers in d direction that u want ur hair to be. (I did d ruffling in a pulling motion rather than a pushing)
4. Adjust d odds n ends

Voila!

Erm so far I haven't experienced such thing... It might have some things to do with the shampoo you use tho, some shampoo makes your hair "Smooth & Silky" (Don't ask me which brand) while others just clean your hair (at the cost of dry/damaged hair maybe?)

For me I always use wax to shape my hair first, then if I know I'm going to sweat alot (ala sports or clubbing or outdoor activities), I would use hairspray on top of the wax to make the hold stronger. But problem is you cannot shape your hair after you've spray it because it would not be as effective anymore.

I've decided to ditch my Clay. Had to actually use SOAP to remove the clay from my hair last night coz my shampoo wasn't able to.

IMO , I hate Gatsby especially the moving rubber because it doesn't hold my hair and it falls to it's original position like after an 1 hour. Right now im using a Redken Clay, no problems with it so far.

Shampoo: Before using Dove, I used "Kepala & Bahu". Dove makes my hair smoother and harder to shape at first when I'm having really short hair, but now about medium length hair d, can shape easier because my hair is quite those that grows quite thick kind of person. Somewhat like this without the color:

Picture taken from:Male Hair Gallery
Wax: When I was small I used Gatsby, terus "pui~" mad.gif , then switch to Mandom awhile also. But then now using Schwarzkopf OSiS+ Mess Up Matt Gum (2 Medium Control) d and addon any hairspray will do. It will usually last for 1 or 2 months for each gum and hairspray, so it's worth the investment IMO.

Another good hairstyle tips reading can be found here.

Of course now I'm trying to keep a beard like this:

did you use finishing spray after waxing? if so it's the hair spray that caused it harder to remove. i dun think there's any special way, just use warm water and shampoo to wash it out. just wash again if it's still there or maybe you can consider other wax, gatsby moving rubber are quite hard to remove imo.

since you think that gatsby is oily maybe you should use something matte like clay, mud or maybe gum (not sure)?

the best way is you show a picture of the hairstyle you want, or you can ask them for hair catalog if you going to professional saloon, they should have plenty of them around just ask for it. describe as much as you want for your next hair style. anyway if you are that bad luck you might encounter some stylist that will ignore the hairstyle you pick and do it on their own for you.. sweat.gif

ask them which style that suits our hair type n our face shape.. ask them to list them out, then we choose.. sometimes i feel like troubling them but i think its ok to do so.. better than we regret later n wait for another couple of months to get it grow back laugh.gif

Gatsby moving rubber is generally quite okay , the only decent ones for medium to longish hair is the grey one , orange one or the purple one . The green one is an absolute waste of money since it barely holds the hair

The grey one and purple one however are a pain in the arse to wash off . The orange one on the otherhand is not as strong but easier to wash off .

For me the orange one + hairspray works best .

I've recently started trying a new product called "Hex" by Amby . I admit i did buy it cause the packaging was cool though tongue.gif . Its IMO better than moving rubber , a billion times easier to wash off and works just as well / better . Also its much much cheaper , i bought it for something like thirteen ringgit .

For those with problems with their wax or whatever not holding their hair properly , its either :
1) Your hair is too long , get it cut right .
2) You're using too much wax / using it the wrong way . Slightly more than a 10 cent coin + hair spray is more than enough to hold the hair .

it depends on the wax you using actually.. the amount of clay i'm using is less than 1/4 of 10 cent coin to style my more medium long hair. i cant get my hair done with product other than that clay anyway.

Actually different people will prefer dif amount as some might prefer heavy look so they'll use slightly more but you can always add more if you need extra amount to style the it the way you want..

Yeah, I'll try to style my hair tomorrow. Want to try punk style (mohawk rite?) first. Then maybe the day after tomorrow will try to make spikes. Well, I have a slightly curly hair so yeah, lest see what the red WAX can do with it lol.

Added on December 28, 2008, 9:36 amRed wax is superb. trust me, I used it yesterday to make spikes with big bundles. and guess what? It stayed until 7pm. then I tried to wash it off and yeah, as expected, the megahold WAX is pretty hard to wash.lol. but then, I'm very satisfied with this product, say yes to vertical spikes! lol.

I'm not pretty sure but I also have a slightly curly hair and it can be solved by using wax, the more curly your hair, the harder to style. Anyway,What's wrong with iron? I always use it lol.

But hair length matters also..for me,i always add extra wax on different part of my hair after applying the initial amount..to make spiky hairstyle and to ensure it stands, should try applying near the root and less on the tip..just some advice..

Ohh, more on the root less on the tip? I always use more on the tip but less on the root. Ok2, thanks for the advice, I'll try tomorrow!

Naah, No problem, it just that I thought you use the wax separately, apparently, you are mixing them together lol. THanks for the tips!

yea..thats what my hair stylist taught me...it works for me but mine is not really that spiky...as in not that wild type if you know what i mean..and you'll still need to apply a small amount on the tip..but less compare to the bottom unless you're using spray to ensure it stands..

I also got a hard time washing my hair after using the clay for the 1st time. I think is 3 times. After that usage, i put it into my closet and never take out since then.

You know guys, most saloons they don't recommend Gatsby stuff as they tends to get oily after a while. Which I agrees and the best hair products which i think is those that they use in Saloons.

U can try OSIS+ hairspray. I forgot whats the name d but its a metal grey can. It does its job pretty well and when u wash that time u can smell the watermelon essence in it. Smells good when wash hair hehe.

From a few gatsby rubber i use, all also tends to get oily after some time. But Gatsby normal wax, the red color and black color can wont have this oily problem. IMO, its nice to style and holds pretty well. In addition, Gatsby's downside is hard to wash. I recommend u guys to try out OSIS/Sebastian products if u can spend some extra money on hair products. Not every1 wanna spend so much money on hair products i understand, but hey, an extra 20bucks for 4months. Some ppl can use it for a year which i dont know how they manage to use so lil. If u wanna stick to a RM20 and below product i would say Gatsby black color wax.

from what i heard, spray does quite a substantial amount of damage in the long run... but infact, all hair styling products do. just go for treatment everymonth. and do hot oil treatment to your hair every week ur self. easy as that. i use clay and hairspray everyday...still not obvious yet the damage but i do go for treatment.

I just bought a square red color osis+ for RM55 around two weeks ago. Really regret it now. Not that it sucks but I don't think I can finish it even in 3 years time. Lol. Should have gotten the small package. And I'm the type to use 2 different hair cream given on the situation.

Is it apply to your fringe only?
And lets say I want to spike my hair
Will it be the thinning or layering that will help it ?

If I'm not mistaken, layering and thinning can be done to every part of your hair (e.g. back, fringe, sides...). It all depends on the cut and the style you're trying to achieve.

Layering
- literally means putting layers into your hair
- to add texture to your hair

Thinning
- your hair is cut, but the length is still somewhat kept (meaning won't cut until too short)
- usually to make your hair lighter, so that it's easier to be styled using styling products (e.g. wax, clay)
- there is a type of 'thinning scissors' which can be used to achieve this

As for spiking your hair (e.g. the top), just let the hairstylist know that you wanna spike your hair, he/she would know what to do tongue.gif

All the best icon_rolleyes.gif

p/s: Please correct me if I'm wrong, I don't wanna go around spitting the wrong info lol sweat.gif

Blow your hair with the hairdryer after bath to get the shape first. Until dry ... Then apply gum or mud or wax or whatever ... Then spray for long lasting holding power.
Morning and night time , when you wash your face ... get a hair band for your head ( if your hair is long in the front ) ... if not ... your hair wet already not good.

Hmm, looks like a lot of peoples are using Gatsby Moving Rubber wax pink, I'm using as well, but I noticed that this product cannot last longer, after I applied the wax for few hours, it will roll back to the style like I didn't use anything, so should I use Gatsby Wax Spray as well after applied the Gatsby moving rubber pink wax?

PS: My hair is medium short, not very short, I use it for spiky styling purpose.

Which one is the pink?
I use Gatsby moving rubber grey - grunge mat, pretty much lasts the whole day, but then again, with the grunge look the messier the better...and I love the smell.

when u start blowdrying, turn ur head upside down...and blow dry the roots part to make it stand
and then when u style with wax/clay, apply it to the roots instead and dont apply too much on the tip as this might result in it getting heavy and falls out of place.

Anyone know where to buy some styling wax at penang? Like the osis+ . Im looking for some wax that pack with unique bottle or casting. I don't prefer gatsby because after applying to hair, it is to hard to wash off and oily.

And also , anyone can recommend some perfect hair styling set for me? like wax + Spray + other things . I would like to know where to buy those (penang).

i'm a current user of OSIS's THRILL & MESS UP. THRILL has a gum texture and gives a more wet look when wearing. i'm using both alternately or depending on what kinda look i want to potray on certain days. so far i can say that i'm happy with the product. maybe if u're looking to change hair product, u could switch to OSIS and give it a try then thumbup.gif

this forumer is selling OSIS item with a discounted price from what the salons are selling. there are other shops like Shins where u can buy the product as well. sometimes these shops are having discounted price which are cheap. i saw once when they were selling MESS UP for as low as rm27 rclxms.gif

use Sebastian X-tah crude clay... you could re-style it once you apply it appropriately.

'dig' out some and style it using your fingertip. many people style it with palm which i think not right and wasteful.

it costs rm50 and can last for 6 months if u use it daily. for me.. it lasts for a year.

i bought that about a year and half ago for RM90 which is like a 3.4 oz and i still have like more than half tub :-) that shit is good.
i went around vancouver to restock but apparently sebastian stops its production. however, theres a new clay with a new packaging.. which is like black in colour. its super duper expensive tho. now im worried if i run out of xtah crude clay sad.gif

edit: the new sebastian xtah crude clay is now known as the sebastian craft clay.

I can find tht model for RM39 only from wholesaler. Every KL saloon stylist use that model clay, If u generate better relationship with stylist you can ask them where they get this. I'm sure they getting it for real cheap price cuz its bulk

thanks in advance for helpingme I'm a real noob on these kind of things!
*
hair gel is the hardest after applying on hair..just hard like plastic..hair wax and clay quite same..the hair is just like rubber, the hair can be restylish after apply(dosent dry) but the only diffrence is wax do shows glossy hair and clay just looks like natural..

hair Gel containing the most alcohol and the containing alcohol will evaporate the moisture in your hair which is bad for hair..

LOL, farni la you.

Maybe try a bit sweeping bangs in the front. I know you want short, but you can experiment with short hair at the back and slightly longer front bangs. Maybe add a bit of curl to it, too.

I've got a question: when I went to the hairsylist he used spray on my hair after styling it to hold the style.

is it nessary for daily use if I dont want the style to droop after 1-2 hrs? or a good gel/wax/clay would solve that

I'm a regular user of Elite Extra Hold gel. Yes it makes my hair hard and stayes where it is. And it is much much more managable than hair cream, clay or wax.

Osis fiber gum+ osis hair spray.
Bought both for RM48 only.

Hate Gatsby, hair start to fall after using them. Until I change to Osis then hair fall only gets better.

I do use wax and spray but I personally don't think it makes me girly. Mind to post some pics of girly hairstyle u are refering ?

ur hair seems like its not even properly cut.
and yes, u still have a long way to go in the growing process.
also, it seems that u are suffereing from a mild hair loss..do u shed a lot when u sleep or when in the shower ?

btw, afaik for moving rubber, the grey one has the most matte look of all.

yeah make sure u dry your hair properly before applying. drying your hair is important when styling anyway, cos it give ur hair the general shape that u want.

Want too know good product on hair??? Actually it depend on yr hair & yr taste~ For me i don like gel/jelly,mud & wax...i consider clay best
1)Gel/jelly is liquid n has wet look after styling guess everyone know wat this is: ;)
Easy Too style yr hair can use it on wet hiar~ but look like 4-12year's old kid~ :P (whole head shine shine like thoose uncle come's from the 70's or 80's de) :shakehead: not much ppl use this nowadays...

2)Mud is normally come in small tin or plastic can open up n it look's like Mud "thoose on the padang after rain"jus that it gray colour: :D
Mud is for thoose who have long hair n i mean really long over neck~ it has a semi-dry look after style depend on the amount u used, can use under a semi-dry or dry hair, it does not hold yr hair really strong yr whole head will be messed up really easy especially on a winddy day~most ppl combine it with hair spray after finishing styling their head for longer lasting n hold yr hair in shape~ is easy too wash n but i won recomand this for thoose who don't have good styling skill coz it will only make u  @#$%# :furious: ! when u styling due too it does not hold tightly it only give u a look that make's "ppl know that u got style yr hair today only" ~ So is always for thoose who has long hair e.g:"fei lun hai" they all~ This product outside normally sell it at Rm50~Rm80 depend on brand~ oasis is not bad if u wan mud~:D

3)Wax this is mostly comes in white colour n come's in plastic can normally oso some come's in stick~e.g The G logo"Gatsby" the most porpular product in this thread alot talking about it: :x
Wax is a very porpular product alot of ppl using it coz it hold yr hair really strong n it got the dry look after styling make's ppl think that u born with stylist hair~ Must be use on 99% dry hair too have good result after styling~ it can be use on short~miduem~ or long hair~ but not too long or it will keep on falling down unless u use hair spray~ is easy too style a hair with Wax it can hold for for more then 2 days ~ e.g:today morning u style by using wax then u go work or watever until night u come back witout any accidents :) ~ It will surely still in the same shape as the style u make in the morning & u few sleepy u don wan too wash yr head u go too sleep straight away & tomolo morning u wake up first u see the mirror u will see "GOKU" :P Dragon Ball! Hahaa~ u can reshape it witout using anymore wax just use abit of water put in hand then style yr head again & go too work or watever after back it wont get the same quality as yesterday u got home the time le coz is second-hand/reused wat u expect!? :D Wax is not bad for thoose who r learning too style yr own head exspecially for beginner~ But on the bad side is it is really hard too wash it off & i mean really sometime even need spampoo 2 times depend on amount u use as well~ u can use the Gastby product i use it be4 is not bad for the moving rubber model~ it cost normally RM20~23 if i not mistaken~

4)MY Favour Clay~
OK~ Clay is normally & most the time come's in small Tin Can~ It consider as 50%Mud & 50%Wax.. :hyper: make it good too use for me i feel that way la~ other i not sure~ :D the colour normally is grey colour n it abit hard on the surface~ use on a complete dry hair too have good result u can oso use it after blowing yr hair it will come out with a even better result~ it can be use on any type of hair even ladies~ :cool2: styling with clay will make yr hair have a very free look~ it does not look too hard n solid~ it will be jus natural but with style~ :) it's not sticky like wax n is oso not hard too use~ in my opinion clay is the best upon 4 of this~ is not sticky make it easy too wash of after u styling yr n not like wax is very sticky need spampoo too wash it off, clay no need spampoo just open the tap n jus wash with water thorghly n it will go off~ it is oso easier too wash it off on yr head then wax 1 time spampoo sure clean~ if u looking for good brand of clay i will suggest the Sebastian brand xTah crude clay~outside normally sell it for RM40 for small can & RM85~90 for big can~ is good too use n is oso most expensive upon this 4 type of product...hahaa~~

Well that all~ :hyper:

I'm currently using Fudge products. It's originated from Australia. Using their Smooth Shot series for shampoo and conditioner. Their Erekt gel helps me a bit in straightening, also acts as heat protector (even using with hair dryer will produce straighter hair for me).

Yesterday, was deciding between Sebastian Xtah Crude Clay which has tons of rave reviews and Fudge Matte Hed - clay as well, but haven't heard much people using it. In the end, took the risk and went for Fudge since I'm having positive experience with their other products. Got myself their hairspray as well - Membrane Gas, and the combo of both really holds my hair nicely. Washes off very easily as well. So far no regrets, though since I've never tried Sebastian's before, can't really make the conclusion blush.gif

Downside is, it's kinda pricey. Depending on the situation, might not be able to make repeat purchase sad.gif Hopefully it'll last me long though!

for me..gatsby movie rubber purple is very easy to style, as i just shake my hair around making messy look, but its holding power is just not good enough, apply too much of it will make hair too heavy to hold too.
OSIS+ i personally have few which isn't nice for me, especially oily based product, but lately went for my haircut, saw my stylish using OSIS+ with the gumstick thing(never gotten the name) quite easy to use, specially made for lazy people...lol
for my hair, i just hardly find any product that will last one whole day as my hair is too soft to be holding up, i've tried mixture of clay and gum, or mud and gum...all together with spray, still don't hold my hair in place like it was right after styling after half a day, it surely drop down...lol...maybe spiking up ain't my thing, i'll be better off with medium long messy hair i guess...(looking not professional at all)

Erm i use gatsby moving rubber the pink colour one. I like it suit my hair when its short, lasts for whole day and doesnt look too wet or shiny. PERFECT look, good hold = i like smile.gif

But problem is when my hair gets long. Not too long, but just medium long, front hair reach my eye. It burns my pocket when i still use that gatsby and it doesnt look that nice too. So i use hair cream like Brylcreem and Code 10. Both are nice, i really love Code 10. Its non greasy, and feels DAMN NICE after shower. but after just a few hours my face gets oily coz Code 10 sort of melts even during cold time. so i always have to wash my face, and to top it off the hair look starts to suck after few hours.

NOW im looking for any hair cream for medium length...any recommendations? I just want it to give me the FRESH look, means abit wet but not like juz come out of shower. And it doesnt make my face oily

wash hair, towel dry your hair then use conditioner then wait for 10minutes after that wash off, then wipe your hair 1/2 or 1/4 dry then use hair oil then only comb

never scratch your hair when washing, it damages your scalp..learn it when i was having roadshow..

I always wash my hair and get dry before i can make new hair style. I'm using Loreal Ultim Fix Gel for extreme lasting hold, straighten your hair with your hands.
Use the heat of a hairdryer to enhance the effects.
Finally, spray onto hair after blow drying, i use Gatsby Long keep Wax Spray or Tracia O2 Shield Spray.

Hmm... i dont like to spike2 my hair. I tend to leave my hair long. Till now i use a lot lot of hair cream, wax, gel etc.

Currently i m using Gatsby moving rubber (blue one) and quite ok. Non greasy but wet look, so ok la with my non short hair. Hehe. But some time i mix it with other hair cream such as code10 or any cream coz i only apply small amount of Gatsby at the end of my hair.

We cant suggest others to use what we use coz result may vary and diff person got diff taste lo..

Serious Talk here, can some one recommend me an effective wax for easy styling for SPIKY TYPE, looks NATURAL, and the most important is to RETAIN the hair style for at least half day, currently using Gatsby Moving Rubber Pink Wax, doesn't work well, after I style my hair, after few hours my hair started dropping, some more it's not easy to style with this wax, and it's a bit oily for my hair whenever I applied this wax.

PS: My hair type is kind of too soft and has dandruff(easily get oily to my hair).

you guys should consider using hairspray after styling. it helps to lock in the style you want.

for me my hair is quite thick so i prefer to use those not so shiny products. I'm actually using dough now and then i spray after i'm done.

Hmm, currently using Osis+ Mess Up, not that perfect but at least the holding power is slightly better than the gatsby moving rubber pink, anyway been heard about styling spray can really hold the style, i mean initially wax then spray, so can anyone recommend some best styling spray?

depends on how well the conditioner absorbs into your hair. technically its always believed that hair absorb nutrients from the conditioner better when its mildly dry since there is no water molecule coming in between. salon does it right after shampooing cause they use better conditioner with high absorbency and effectiveness.

Added on September 17, 2009, 2:12 pmbtw, right now im using sebastian craft clay (formerly known as xtah crude clay)

Osis+ Dust is the best, no oily, no wet look makes flat hair becoming boofy naturally even if you have a thin hair.
$50 per bottle, worth every cents tho.

Hello Gatsby Fans. rclxms.gif

Address: Carillon City Arcade, Ground Floor Food Hall next to Sumo Salad.
They are the only shop in Perth Australia selling Genuine Gatsby hair wax, They imported from Japan (not the China copy).
I am using the Wild Shake Moving Rubber now, it's really easy to style and reset.
I am gonna buy the pink Wax hair spray next. thumbup.gif
Hope this help you guys.

BEWARE of China Copy! mad.gif

depends on how well the conditioner absorbs into your hair. technically its always believed that hair absorb nutrients from the conditioner better when its mildly dry since there is no water molecule coming in between. salon does it right after shampooing cause they use better conditioner with high absorbency and effectiveness.

hmm... what i notice about the new craft clay is that if u really rub it between your hands really long and emulsify it, its a little greasier and shinier. not as matte as crude clay. however, both has the same hold tho.

I'm using Osis+ Mess Up now, not bad but the holding power is still not the best, it just can last for few hours, afterward starting drop off, can anyone recommend me a good hair spray with stronger holding power that last at least half day that apply after wax our hair? Have anyone tried out the new gatsby wax pink spray? how is it?

I should stick to clay. It stays longer and firmer..harder to wash though.

I am considering using Sebastian Xtah Clay.
Can anyone recommend a place to get it and how much it costs? I have found a place selling it at abt RM100 for 150ml. Is it around that price amd how is the performance compared to Gatsby moving rubber?

For those looking for Osis products, you can try this shop at BTS. They are currently having a 'buy 1 free 1' offer on Osis products.

I use Gatsby Gel (Hard) the blueish one.
It's not really hard cause I have long hair (not too long, touches my lips)
Then I finish with Gatsby moving rubber, the orange one.

Keeps my hair in place and I can change my hairstyle easily.
Not too hard and not too soft.

honestly, after all the rave reviews on this thread about osis mess up, i decided to gave it a try.

first thing i noticed was the smell. even the gf compliments me frequently on it and me myself, i have to admit its better than alot of the hair products that i used in the past.

second thing, the texture. its nothing like clay or wax, instead it felt more like a cream which would turn dry after rubbing your hands together which is a good thing because im tired of having to wash off the clay or wax.

but again, what dissapointed me in the end was the durability. its holding power was pretty bad. similar to gatsby. after 4- 5 hours, it would just fall down. and then i would have to keep restyling and it would keep falling down.

this is just my short review for people who are interested in finding a better hair alternative and dont want to spend money on something that only wastes more money. my next review will probably be on sebastian xtah clay or fudge.

dude its not magic. atm ive not found any hair product that has a lasting hold for more than 4-5 hours (ive tried osis, sebastian, gatsby, got2be, osmo, TIGI bedhead). thats when hair spray comes in handy. also, a lot of ppl forgot that what actually makes ur hair style is the cut itself. it should be thinned to make the hair ligther and layered to add texture to the hair.

see this ?

user posted image

^ this is not magic. it has been thinned to make the hair more voluminous and airy so as to make it easier to style.

well, im just stating what it is. theres no lasting hold and thats what people are looking for. i dont care if its magic or not. if its purpose is for holding hair, then i'll give my opinion on whether it holds hair or not.

i was implying on your statement of how long the hold will last. not how well does it hold. what should be said was, yes, it does provide a certain amount of hold to a certain amount of time (according to you its 4-5 hours). for any hair product to provide a hold of that amount of time (or beyond) is simply ridiculous (in a sense, magical).

act to hold hair it depends a bit on ur hair >.< i've got some fren that their hair kinda hard to hold up the style, even the stylist told them tat...
but normally if you want ur hair to hold up a style for a long period den spray is a recommended after u use ur wax/clay

and also if u never get ur haircut, its hard to style up >.< wax/clay is not a magic and tats y there are salon around ^^

lol seriously dude, im not going to argue with you over a hair product like some fashionista.

it provides hold for a short time. forumers who are looking for something stronger should look elsewhere because osis mess up fails in that department.

if you must, get a hairspray.

i mean practically when i use, no shining feeling, coz its a volume up, it helps to hold the hair up to a messy/neaty look.

sry to gatsby fans, but this product suck balls man...compare to other product, it may seem cheaper, but actually it's not....my sebatian clay last me for 1 yr+ because onli small amount can make ur hair looks nice...not like my fren who use moving rubber...have to use alot to have the effect, n few months have to buy new 1...n he always complain it sucks...so why put such a fuss on my hair?

I'm using Go Care Molding clay, it's fomulated in germany. My hairstylist friend recommended it to me and it's really very good, strength to hold your hair is just awesome. And when you're washing your hair, just rinse with water and it's gone. Not like Gatsby when you're washing your hair the clay is stuck on your hair. Anyone interested with this clay I can get it for you smile.gif. He's selling around RM48 and I can get it around RM35 or lesser.

Easiest way to style your hair,

Hairdryer is a must,
Blow your hair until it's really dry, use wax and lastly use hair spray.
And you're set and done. Can go tackle your awek awek. smile.gif

I tried lots of clay and wax. It just can't hold for few hours.
Now I am using Gatsby Pink Color + Hair spray. Have to apply a LOT to the hair root.
Dyed my hair to damage it so it can hold a little longer.

go for sebastian clay, been using it for almost 2 years, from the orange to black bottle smile.gif. combo it with a hairspray for some shine cause it'll look very dry with just clay alone.

try ironing like corn to ur hair... no nid to wax or anything but u will get the same effect, just nid use finger do like how u usually do with wax... cos when few hair macam spring curl together, they stand forever... i scared not nice at the first but tried once, forever also do same thing lol...

p/s: i have hard stubborn hair too

Schwarzkopf is having promotion recently. I personally thinks that there is a new range of products called Osis Design Mix is coming in.

Anyone heard of it? Is it available in Malaysia now? Or long long time ago?

Hairspray is to harden, you can't style your hair when it'll be hard in a few minutes.

To Shah_15, grey maybe?

I used to buy it from Guardian, but these days I can't find it anymore.

Any recommendation for hair wax/clay/mouse/watever that is dry type and not so oily, long lasting, strong holding(for hair around 12cm,need to spike up abit),easy to wash off and most importantly,cheap/reasonable price?
