tried to do the disconnected undercut like above. but cant last and hair ended flat after half hour.

tried with water based pomade, L'oreal Indesctructible Strong Wax, but none working.

Considering to try Hanz de Fuko but any recommendation for strong hold? like super strong hold type of wax or pomade.

not enough vol on the top of ur hair maybe? i myself need a very long hair on the top of my head to pull a decent pomp.

try oil based pomades. It gives the best shape pomp and the endurance is amazing. You can also restyle it easily as it doesnt dries up. But downside is that oil based pomades takes 2 washes to get them out of the hair.

Any recommendation for matte (not wet look) and keep hair fixed in place?

I go outdoor constantly and sometimes the wind is really annoying.
Gatsby black matte and grey moving rubber are not strong enough.

suggestions for best water based pomade, something that can be restyled throughout the day? i have thick heavy hair and i need hold and lightness as well. thinking about going for a oil based for occasional use also.

Depends on your preference of texture of the hair product, fragrance and etc.

If you like gel texture, go for suavecito, its cheap, its a classic, hardens up like helmet but can be restyle by wetting your comb before restyling. Scent is like manly cologne.

If you like unorthodox waterbased, go for shear revival crystal lake, it has been reformulated recently but I havent tried the new formula...based on the old formula, it feels like oil based but it is waterbased. Can be restyled without water. Doesnt dries up. But the hold is towards the light side. Scent is vanilla-ish.

If you like creamy type of waterbased, go for anchors teddy boy original, the texture is creammy, can be restyled without water, doesnt dries up, hold is pretty good. Washes off at one shower. Scent is like foresty musky.

If you want oil based, can go for goon grease. Scent is fresh lemon lime. Doesnt dries up. Hold is fantastic. Washes out in 2 -3 showers. Can be restyled with ease. Based on my experience, oil base style the best pomp. But not convenient to use daily.

I normally alternate the days of my pomades. Like one day oil, next day waterbased. So it degreases on the 2nd day. And the build up from the 1st day of oil base adds the hold to the 2nd day as I use the waterbased.

which oil based pomade are you using? using waterbased after the 1 day built up doesnt help the degrease. Because as you stop using oil based for one day, so the oil based remains from the 1st wash will be completely washed off by the 2nd day wash.

By alternating oil and water based, you get the best of both worlds.
