Don't take it that way. You DON'T have to EXACTLY bench that way. What Dave is trying to imply in that short video is to show how important a good tight setup is. To get a leg drive isn't an overnight thing. You need to bench seriously for quite sometime to achieve SOME leg drive. Not all federations allow the foot to be in such of a position though. The importance of a setup applies to your deadlift and squats as well. This is vital if you want to be a competitive powerlifter. There are lots of camps on training out there. I'd say that 99.9% trainees I see in the gym have a horrible deadlift and squat setup. same goes for everyone i see in the gym =.="
