Personally, I greatly respect his philosophy and his complete dedication to the sport but I don't think I'll ever try his regime. I'm happy with what I am now.
Interesting interview here.

Dude, to do Dorian Yates' regime takes years of experience, know-how and mental strength like no other. I forgot which month of Flex I read that had a piece on him and his training methods. All I can say is, WOW. Maybe someone could find his training regime as I'm lazy.

Them dragon flags are WTF. I bet I in addition to having my core sore, I won't be able to move my neck much after doing a couple of those.
Here's an interesting article for all you 6-pack chasers. This post has been edited by mcbarney666: Mar 27 2009, 07:37 AM |

QUOTE(iamyuanwu @ Apr 13 2009, 02:29 PM) After I do the dips and pushups, I feel that the middle of my collar bones ache for like 3-5 seconds. Then the ache dissipates. It's as if something pulled on the collar bones then released it. Same here. It happens when I either lean too much forward or if my right side is oddly placed (the pain only happens there as I'm a righty) when doing machine dips. I suspect it's wrong and happens when in an effort to get my shoulders flared out and working out the chest. It doesn't happen as often as it did as I've corrected my form but when occasionally it does, it's a real painful sensation. It's always like this since I started working out. Does anyone feels the same? This post has been edited by mcbarney666: Apr 14 2009, 08:27 AM |

I've noticed that ego lifting tends to inflict those with very well-built tops but with nearly zero leg development. Bodybuilding complex, no?
It's kind of fun seeing these people carry weights far too heavy for them yet they still try and it shows on their red as heck faces. You can't fault that, at least. |

Err...I don't think those who really follow the 5- or 6- meals per day regime "stuff ourselves" with food every time we have a meal. Small to medium portioned food to keep energy levels at optimal.
Also, if the timing is inconvenient then so be it. It's not like if we don't eat our oats or whatever at a specified time we'll go berserk and attack people. Sometimes living a life is more important than gaining that bit of muscle. |

^ He looks...big.
I do a combination of barbell and dumbbell presses for chest. Granted, the dumbbells give me a much better pump but I find incline barbell press does stimulate as well as dumbbells. Different strokes for different people. This post has been edited by mcbarney666: May 4 2009, 10:43 AM |

QUOTE(sprix @ May 12 2009, 09:31 AM) guys.. i have one simple question.. which one is the best to do first.. start with dumbbell workout n finish with barbell or the other way around? or just mix it.. no sequence at all... im asking this quest coz, im trying all those method and seem like, start with dumbbell more effective way to pump our muscle... what do u think guys.. Well, for chest, I've come to the conclusion that if I start with barbells first, light weights of course, I will get a decent pump then when I move on to dumbbells I get to power away the sets. I've tried dumbbells first, but I didn't get any pump. Mind you, I've tried this a couple of times so it works best for me. Same goes for biceps, barbells first then dumbbells. Give it a go, mate, and see what works best. |

Give this a read: T-Nation
I followed the first advice on the legs being tucked below me and it worked wonders. Now, I'm not fond of legs on the bench as I think not only does it look like you want to fart like a dog, it just doesn't feel natural IMO. More opinions on this is most welcomed. Also very the off topic: Man United lost to a better team. My congratulations to Barcelona. Darn. |

I saw that video awhile ago and I must say that after giving it a try, it really has helped in my benching. I still hate benching, though, but not as much thanks to that video.
