G1...if you can find it..then it's a "ok" gaming mouse...but ppl may say that the intellimouse 3.0 and 1.0 from microsoft would be even better...

@suicideroach,
x3 looks to be simple for normal gaming and relatively cheap for 2000dpi ..take note that it doesn't have side buttons..whether thats important depends on the user...personally you might wanna have a look at logitech's mx518...if can sacrifice a bit more...go for the x5...happy.gif....

I bought it from AllIT like 3 months ago. Around RM85.

Everybody who is using a MX518 here, is there any red light under your mouse? Please report thanks. I believe there are quite a few of you out there since it's so popular.

Before I bought the MX518, I was crazy about the G9 but price wise I had to let it go... Now G9x... still going nuts. Worse come to worse, I might bought 1. 5000dpi is an overkill for whatever task you're do, it's so damn fast... even with 1800dpi with MX518 cannot control...

mx518 is a great mouse but the shape of the mouse may not suit some users since it's quite large. i'm one of them sweat.gif

@mental,
its a solid mouse for your everyday use and gaming...its also the cheapest from the sidewinder series...try searching for microsoft sidewinder in this hardware section...you'll find it happy.gif...i don't own one but i'm currently using the 1st gen sidewinder mouse..i'm loving it tongue.gif
*
ya i think so.. cos i own one wink.gif

QUOTE(wingster @ Sep 7 2009, 10:26 AM)
I do agree ... Sidewinder mouse since to be your best fit for budget and performance however Sidewinder Mouse may not suite for certain people who doesn't like the side thumb button which makes certain people uncomfortable be with.

But consider the best, if you really want a good quality brand with better performance and doesn't care so much about the looks and don't bother about the maximum features then Sidewinder's is your choice =D

agreed thumbup.gif . the side buttons are kinda out of place sweat.gif

If you like the bling bling, go for Razer.
Better if you test all the mouse in shop to get the one suit you best.

I'm using the newer 1800dpi version, red light too.

I don't think optical engine uses beam? The red light is just an LED to shine for the sensor, no?
