Here's what I got from SteelSeries website. I hope it might help a bit?
The SteelSeries Ikari Optical was designed as a no-bullshit, top performer for FPS gamers. The research and development emphasized a “no nonsense, no crap" approach with proven optical technology that allows gamers consistent, fast movements without technical difficulties of any kind. The SteelSeries Ikari Laser mouse features programmable macros and custom settings designed to increase the users Actions Per Minute (APM) count, which is vital for RTS and MMO gamers. The mouse can be programmed from home and will remember the settings for tournament use even without installing drivers. The high precision sensor adjustable in increments of 1 CPI is perfect for FPS gamers demanding extreme accuracy. In conclusion, Ikari Optical mouse is designed specifically for FPS gamers according to their website, and Ikari Laser has more features all in all and suits all types of games, but sensor wise, I don't have any clue at all, since I don't own one. Hehe. |

yea i read the SS site. thats why im very confused on what to get. though currently i am using a laser mouse. and i mostly play fps games. i want to get the ikari laser because of the matte finish instead of the optical's glossy one.
and also i read some ppl say that the optical ikari tends to skip sometimes. D: This post has been edited by RMaliff: Mar 31 2009, 11:38 PM |
