It has the same sensor as the Deathadder but half the price.. Real bargain?

BTW Gigabyte GM-M6800 looks exactly like this mouse here: http://www.cybersnipa.com/us/products/stin...aming-mouse.php Hmm.. |

I agree. If getting into buying a mouse be it for gaming or work, I must try them out 1st before I purchase them to see whether they fit comfortably to my hands.
No point comparing the mouse performance/price when you can't even hold the mouse properly or comfortably while using. Don't hesitate to get a good mouse or mouse that fits you, after all, you are going to hold your mouse most of the time while using your computer. |

I'm planning to buy a Razer DA as replacement for my already sold off MX518..
But I've read somewhere that the mouse feet of DA is quite thin and tends to wear out quickly.. Any comments, DA owners? |

MX518 max sensitivy is 1800dpi.. Not applicable if you say Krait has higher dpi.. But of course he will need to adjust the sensivity whereas Krait starts up at 1600dpi..Logitech has 3 years warranty.. No worries for even longer.. |

QUOTE(XiuKeong @ Mar 31 2009, 03:16 AM) Sure. That's what the weight system's purpose was in the first place. To customize the weight + your sensitivity to your perfect liking. Imagine a light mouse with high sensitivity, you accidentally bump the mouse, then the cursor goes up and you can't even find the cursor. |

The purpose of having a heavier mouse for FPS players is to have a more stable shot, where you won't move the mouse too much in times of getting the headshot.
Another thing I notice of the weight tuning thingy is that it actually helps the users to adapt to their new mouse, in case they have purchased a new mouse. For example, a gamer is used to the weight of a particular mouse, when he buys a new mouse, he would want the new mouse to have the same weight like the old one, thus he can add in some weight so that the new mouse weighs and feels like the old one. Like RMaliff said, some might not need them at all because the mouse weighs perfectly without any adjustments at all for them. Also, not everyone has the same muscle power. A mouse can be too light for you but too heavy for me. That is when the weight customization system comes in and shows its work. |

QUOTE(CasaNovaâ„¢ @ Mar 31 2009, 12:39 PM) i would never want a heavy mouse for first. but i'm a low sens player. i only wish if the imo1.1 was a tad lighter then it would be perfect. anyway. pro FPS players use the same mouse over and over again, and those type of mouse normally do not have weight changing stuff. haha. It all depends to whether you want the mouse to adapt to your style of play or you adapt to your mouse. Purchasing a new mouse would mean more training sessions to adapt to the new mouse, so some of them don't even bother to change. So sometimes, those weight customization system is to help you find out the same weight like the old one, so that you can adapt to the new mouse more naturally in case you decided to move on and buy a new mouse. In this case, your are adjusting your new mouse to suit your game play. Not the other way around. And those mouse that doesn't have a weight customization system, changing the dpi settings only can be all good for most. This post has been edited by viqq: Mar 31 2009, 02:30 PM |

Here's what I got from SteelSeries website. I hope it might help a bit?
The SteelSeries Ikari Optical was designed as a no-bullshit, top performer for FPS gamers. The research and development emphasized a “no nonsense, no crap" approach with proven optical technology that allows gamers consistent, fast movements without technical difficulties of any kind. The SteelSeries Ikari Laser mouse features programmable macros and custom settings designed to increase the users Actions Per Minute (APM) count, which is vital for RTS and MMO gamers. The mouse can be programmed from home and will remember the settings for tournament use even without installing drivers. The high precision sensor adjustable in increments of 1 CPI is perfect for FPS gamers demanding extreme accuracy. In conclusion, Ikari Optical mouse is designed specifically for FPS gamers according to their website, and Ikari Laser has more features all in all and suits all types of games, but sensor wise, I don't have any clue at all, since I don't own one. Hehe. |

Okay. Good luck in your mouse hunt then. Hehe. Another thing, do ask whether you can claim tax rebate or not and how much is the minimum to claim. As they will probably will include tax in their pricing.

QUOTE(H3LLKEEPER @ Jun 13 2009, 05:05 PM) hahaa xl-740k this mouse steal one la fake one can see.. Don't you know A4tech does OEM manufacturing as well? I believe that a4tech is the OEM manufacturer for Sharkoon FireGlider. Just like OCZ equalizer. Don't simply say it's fake or steal. If you go to a4tech's website they have variant versions of the mouse compared to Sharkoon's only 1?The original release is from sharkoon as you can see the design and specs are terribly SAME!!!!! |

Fingertip grip is similar to claw grip. They are not the same style, but similar.
http://www2.razerzone.com/MouseGuide/html/clawgrip.php http://www2.razerzone.com/MouseGuide/html/fingertipgrip.php If you like Razer, the site itself already reckons that Salmosa is made specifically for the fingertip grippers. Diamondback 3G and Krait are also great options for claw/fingertip grippers IMO. |

QUOTE(Everdying @ Jul 13 2009, 06:30 PM) yokoyoko? interesting choice Hehe. I just couldn't find any alcohol based liquids at home and I was desperate that time. Tried to rub a small part at first, mana tahu it works, then continued to remove the whole coating. Hehe.some ppl just use regular thinner or nailpolish remover. QUOTE(xcen @ Jul 14 2009, 02:28 PM) No ah.. Ok wor.. Better than previously when the rubber coating was peeling a bit here and there. Now it's clean. QUOTE(dantwt @ Jul 15 2009, 09:38 AM) Haha if you have to know; but I don't really recommend you to do it my way though since some parts will lose its paint noticeably the Logitech logo's paint. At first, I applied some yokoyoko on those part that the coatings are started to peel, then rub it with a microfiber cloth. After that, keep on doing it again and again until the mouse is clean of rubber coating. Haha. It's not so advisable la if your rubber coating is still new. |

QUOTE(FusioneX @ Jul 15 2009, 03:57 PM) What the hell? I didn't know it was that easy to remove the rubber coating. I spent 2 damn hours to scrape off the damn rubber coating off my Copperhead with only a cloth and soap water and the damn thing wasn't completely clean as there's still some sticky residue. Hehe. You just have to use some alcohol based liquids to ease the removal. As suggested by Everdying, some peeps use thinner or nailpolish remover, you can just borrow some nailpolish remover from your GF or mum to it.My Yokoyoko is just a desperate way to do it at that time. Lolz. |
